Those guys were never a band, they came together just for this song. They are actually famous as their own artist and they are "classic" in Lithuania, some of them are rly famous still. Some if them are not that famous but is still know pretty well. Lithuania never been higher than 6th place and as much as people like to refer this as a joke, I must say that this is the best Lithuania entry yet. I mean i loved 2020 that's sick. But its hard for Lithuania to score with "serious" performances. So if they would chill out a little and send sth more relaxed and chill again they would come high again. Oh and i just wanna say, even tho i was like 3 in 2006, i love this song and every time i listen im just being at that "proud Lithuanian moment" so thank you for bringing memories back!

I liked it because most of the singers just take eurovision too seriously and LT united are there to have fun.😃

they just united for this peace.. they are separate musician and tv personalities,, Lithuania sucked at Eurovision till them and after them, and they just came to troll and ware quite successful at that

LT United were created in early 2006 after the well-known Lithuanian rock musician Andrius Mamontovas decided it would be a good idea to enter the Eurovision Song Contest. The group consisted of six individuals who were already well known in Lithuania, with all six having some form of musical or television background .The group consists of
    :
Andrius Mamontovas - Lithuanian musician, producer, actor. songwriter
Marijonas Mikutavičius - singer, journalist, actor, TV presenter, songwriter
Viktoras Diawara - Lithuanian singer and producer
Saulius Urbonavičius - singer, producer, songwriter
    Arnoldas Lukošius. - Lithuanian musician
Eimantas Belickas - musician, director, montage director, composer.

Thanks for all of that! It’s cool to have already-established acts come together for things like this.

You asked if they're a band or seperate singers. They are seperate singers, all of them are very popular in Lithuania, some even became show hosts and music show judges too. As for song, it's as far as Lithuania ever got - 6th, so I count it as a win. Of course if it won 1st place it would've been shocking.

It would really be the ultimate irony since songs that are about winning Eurovision never win Eurovision haha.

Lithuania scored zero points with their first entry in 1994 and rarely qualified or reached top 15. Sadly its still Lithuania's most successful entry, that would have changed this year i think. The guya were all individual stars who came together for the contest, the LT in their name is the internet extention for Lithuania, a ploy used by a few artist around this time.

Wow, it’s crazy to think that their most successful entry was 14 years ago! I hope they can come back and do great things next year too

Hi Jordan, it's so nice to welcome another American friend into our Eurovision family. We are really open to folks from all over the world and we really appreciate your love of diverse cultures and languages II've grown to really enjoy your channel and your views. I do like your proposal of top and bottom 10s for the years you are reviewing... TBH, 2006 wasn't a strong year but I think it kinda broke a mould with Lordi, and from 2007 on it became a little more adventurous and started to create the ESC we know and love today.
A couple of suggestions for you to boost your channel... You ask, many times over, with foreigh language songs "what does this mean". It might be useful for you when reviewing such songs to simply google the song tilte and "lyrics english" to get a translation. They are all up there and believe me, it makes a difference when you know what they are saying.
For the weeks inbetween your annual reviews... well there are upwards of 40 songs per year, so perhaps outside the top and bottom 10 of the grand final each year you might want viewers to recommend another 4 or so to take a look at?
More so.. look at ESC in the longer term.. I'm from the UK and I'm, dare I say it, 59 years old. My earliest ESC memory was the UK national selection of 1968, and the actual contest of 1970, won by Ireland. There are a lot of channels like yours that react to ESC entries, but it is very rare to find anyone reacting to entries prior to 2000... That makes me feel a little sad as, although much of the music has dated, some of the songs still really stand out, even fom the 60s and 70s. Perhaps this could be a niche for you in your breakout weeks. Jordan, you seem like a really nice guy and I can imagine chatting with you about this all evening. You take care, and keep safe with the ongoing situation. Welcome to the ESC family.

Thank you for the tips! I’ve been thinking about incorporating some of the other entries into the off week so I’ll continue to think about the best way to do that. I would love to go back further if I have access to older entries so I’ll see what I can do about that too! Thanks again and I’m glad you’re liking the channel 🙂!!

Hi Jordan, just read the comment above (thumbs up), I too am 59 and have a copy of every esc contest except 1956 and 1964 which are sadly are unavailable ('56 wasn't recorded although there were cameras at the event, '63 got lost in a fire at the Danish archive, no other complete copy has been found). I know that geoblocking prevents some content being available in the US, if there's a way to contact you directly I could forward stuff to you. I have audio of every entry including songs that were disqualified or withdrawn and many national final contenders.

@@michaelaries4707 Michael, thanks for your agreement and support. Yes, pre-2000 ESC seems so sadly ignored these days, but from the 60s to 90s there are some amazing performances just waiting to be rediscovered by new fans of ESC. Where are you from? What was your earliest memory of ESC?

I'm from Glasgow, my parents no interest in the contest so it wasn't till it was held in Edinburgh 1972 that I became aware of it (I fell instantly in love withe Vicky Leandros and her song) I've been a fan ever since

@@michaelaries4707 Oh yes.Apres Toi was amazing and i think. like you, a British 12 yr old kid with no exposure to foreigh languages... it was just so exotic and incredibly emotional. I think at that age, just becoming aware of being gay, that "foreign diva" moment must have struck something within me. just like Anne-Marie David the next year. Yep i was hooked from then on. Itnever goes away does it!!
