    Man, you basically just gave a full list of all the things I decided I had to change within a week of getting my 10th gen. The shifter had to be done immediately, it was SO BAD stock. I installed all of the Acuity stuff short of the full $500 shifter assembly, and it's so much better.

    The rev hang almost made me trade in my 2020 Si Coupe. Love the car but god that was annoying to deal with. I legit hated driving the car because of it. I disabled it with Hondata and it drives so much better without it. Really hope Honda fixes that issue in newer Si's because it makes me not wanna buy another Si. It's a fun car that's ruined by that. My buddy has a 2019 Si Sedan and I drove his car recently and the rev hang in it is horrible. His car would jerk between every shift. I had a 2018 LX Coupe before the Si and that car had no rev hang and I honestly regretted trading that car in for the Si once I noticed the rev hang. I did not like having passengers in my car because of the rev hang. Hondata literally saved me from buying a new car. There is no way I would've kept the car if I couldn't get rid of the rev hang.

    I get multiple people that tell me to switch out the OEM shifter, but I have never had a problem. I changed out my shift knob, and have even gotten compliments from other people that have modified their shifter assembly and have driven my car, they asked what I did to it, and then when I tell them it is 100% OEM, they are baffled about how smooth and precise it is. Maybe certain batches of cars were made differently?

    All those hates are not an issue for the K20C2 Civic. Clutch, mount, swaybars, bushing, spring and shocks are all perfectly tuned for the high revving k-series engine Base version share a lot with Si's component and makes it over-engineered for its small torque output (perhaps not sway linkage since Canadian LX uses metal linkages and dynamically is more willing to rotate). Given that Si need work to realize its potential, the base LX 6MT is ready for the track straight out of the assembly line...I'm not sure about US version, but base Canadian LX has everything you need for track days, except for dedicated summer tires and track pads. I suspect Honda is pissed at the Canadian for making this car so capable...it messes up their bean counters.

    I must be the only one who doesn't have any issue with the rev hang. I usually granny shift slowly, and the hang seems perfect for matching.

      The issue with rev hang is if ur a skilled driver it messes up every shift cuz it jumps to the rpm

    • @riley1733
      @riley1733 6 месяцев назад

      It's good if you shift slow but for fast shifters, it causes the car to be jerky and drive rough. It's when you start shifting fast that it becomes a problem. I disabled it in my car and the car drives so much better without it.

      The rev hang issue is only an issue with standards. People say automatics have it but I've driven a lot of newer automatics and none of the ones I drove have that issue or if they do, it's not as bad as it is on the standards because I don't notice it. I definitely noticed it on the Si.
