Everyone I've played with so far has made the same comment. Me included.
The whole bit about picking up items quickly was HUGE!. I played for 3 hours last night, picking things up, opening inventory, and manually unequipping them like an idiot
5:55 on how to use a whetstone. I wasted 45 min trying to figure out why I couldn’t use a whetstone on a regular weapon. Thank you for this video!
As a long time EA player of Legendary Tales on PC this version looks like a whole new game, I am so excited.
I just got my first high spec gaming pc, and also have psvr2, and was thinking to buy this on PC (for the q3 pancake lenses). Have you played it on PC recently? Presumably the current PC version is at least at good as this version? (Albeit without foveated rendering, but my PC specs should hopefully counter balance that).
@@royrogers495 I have not played the new version yet but love the look of the EA game on my Quest Pro (QD-LCD), I have yet to try it on my Q3 but will be tonight.
@@royrogers495 I'd buy it on PSVR2 over PC. PC version won't have foveated rendering or adaptive triggers or face haptics
There's some issue, the weapon swinging feels off, when I swing and move my arm the weapon seems unstable and doesn't track properly. It's like it's forcing you to swing super slowly even though your swinging speed is considered normal...
I still don't like the 'light / heavy' attack modes that requires a delay because a freaking dagger's heavy attack has the same downtime as a bigger weapon.
@dra6o0n I main dagger and buckler and have no issue with the heavy light method, it encourages you to parry. The delay is because of weight and physics. Only tracking/grip/swing issue I have experienced is when I tried playing with my WMR headset (G2).
White: Common, Blue: Magic, Yellow: Rare, Purple: Epic, Orange: Legendary
i thought blue was uncommon or epic or smth

@@gayboij6360 they are very rare and sometimes suck but can also be amazing. I am assuming they didn't remove them.

I got the Butchers Cleaver off a random enemy in the refugee camp. Its badass.
I love that you are out of breath by the time you had your boss battle. I know I need exercise in daily life and I often give that up when I play a less active game (even in VR, there are many that are passive sitting games) and this will give me both.

Did you like it? I'm getting my vr2 horizon bundle on Saturday and coming up with a list of games I wanna check out first. RPGs are my favorite genre so naturally I was happy to find out about this one.

Isn't it interesting that the smaller dev teams make some of the best PSVR2 games, Red Matter and Vertigo 2 being examples.
Actually didn't know about vertigo 2 but now I'm glad I did, downloading right now!

Hit triangle and click unequip of your hand in the panel.
Much appreciated! The idea of this game is way too daunting for me but I'm so intrigued.
It has now weapon Grip option - toggle or grip. Like it had in pre-release. Totally different experience of throwing weapons and overall weapon dancing. Literally unclench fist and weapon drops - you can fast grab dagger from belt, throw it and grab weapon back before it fell to ground. Also those cool action are endorsed by game talents. This game has very high skill ceiling.
Not knowing how to put stuff in my inventory without just grabbing it and unequipping it was driving me insane thank you

im on a vive pro and couldnt figure out how to get stuff in my inventory, so I had to leave stuff behind constantly.
Also I couldnbt figure out how the quickslots were supposed to work. My stzuff just disappeared and didnt show up anywhere again.
I guess the tutorial of this game really needs some rework.
They should add some sort of damage boost if you dash into an attack, could be fun. Be kinda like when a ninja in an anime or smth dashes forward with their katana and then like 5 seconds later the enemy falls into 2

GT - can you slide your hand down (top to bottom) mid swing to increase power? Like chopping wood for a fire, or swinging a sledgehammer?

Do different enemies have different weaknesses to some damage types at all in this game?
Still trying to figure out if the multiple types of damage actually mean something or just there for the fluff.

Great video, helped me out a bunch. One thing I’m curious about is how to cook meat? I’ve tried just holding it over a campfire and also using fire spells, but neither of those have worked. Any idea how to? Thanks!
I didn’t even consider it. I just eat it
It’s genuinely difficult to cook meat, you really need to crouch down and hover the meat over the fire in your hand.

Lmao! I can’t get the skeleton in the cage to speak to me at the end of the tutorial, it says “Press X”, I’ve pressed it, held it down, etc. nothing.

You have to point on the quest and hit right trigger
It's not only toggle grip look in the settings
toggle grip can be changed into hold grip in the options. particually usefull for the index controllers (since they dont have a button but rather a touchpad) also how do you take out only one iron ore outta a batch? when i try n pull em out, it splits the bag into two (like a bag o 6 into two bags o 3)
Very helpful, I can't get past the tutorial because of a bug, as spam as I speak with the shrek kid and enemy's spawn for whatever reason I'm much taller than them 🤣
Was that the second time you last your save game? As I know you also lost it during the review stage - worried to invest in it if bugs keep causing saves to disappear😬
The toggle grip you can change to hold in the settings
It's not only toggle grip. You can change many settings, including grip type in settings. I hate toggle grip, i prefer squeezes to grab and let go to drop.

For the smithing it’s not that level 10 is the limit it’s that you can only use 10 ingredients. So different ore gives you more levels I.e. titanium gives you 4 levels per ore. Iron gives only 1.

Good lord this was helpful, we were so lost. How does magic work? Do you have a video for it?
so you can craft your own weapons and it takes alot of time to do this due to the slow process and immersion, but is there a real reason to do this ? will you be able to select affixes on it as well, or is it just a basic weapon that can be lvl 10 you can use if you lose gear. , and MAN that boss is attacking relentless agains you, your not getting any room to breathe, i love it!
You can enchant items with magic by using magic whetstone but the magic is random perk

I know this is a late comment, but at least with the index you can change the grip mode to hold instead of toggle.
Yeah they added it as an update. I have it on record the developer said he doubts people would want it.
Theres another colour above yellow items and thats orange.
I got an orange weapon drop and it had like 6 buff stats and a genesis aura where my axe glows this insanely awesome orange colour
Isn't orange the best color? Then purple,gold,blue, then grey? Maybe they changed it. And OMG those goblins are so creepy!
1:27 ashamed to say that i spend my first 2h of playing this game just grabbing the items, opening the inventory and clicking the item to unequip... for every... item... that i got...
might have missed the part of the tutorial where it shows hot to put them in inventory because i tried everything, just grabbing a material that i don't need in my hand like wood or rock, and release it over head, on belly on chest on each side it was always falling or going in the weapon slots, not directly in to inventory... so yeah, either grab it and put it in item slots or directly from my hand open menu and click unequip.

Just set your floor level a couple feet lower than the actual floor in VR settings. Quick and easy to do. Then just play sitting and you’ll be at standing level in game.

There is no option. The developer for some reason believes that toggle grip is definitely what everyone wants and actually removed holding grip that was in the EA version. I think this is the number on thing people are poking him to re-add to the game.
I played it for an hour and have a few issues with it so far.
Based on my experiences with RE VR and other games it bothers me that releasing R1/L1 doesn't drop items. Its a small thing but a thing nonetheless.
No crouch or sitting option is also kinda baffling. I get that its just five guys and their priorities are elsewhere but damn it hurts my legs and makes me sweat standing too much on VR.
Otherwise i cant really think of any other issues at the moment which ia great.

How do you determine a crafted weapon’s level? (New to the game just bought it)
hey, i discover the wethstone thing but dont understand how to "use magic powder to improve a item" i try the same in every item and weapon but dont work, if i press it it wont do nothing, or if i drop on the calduron also dont check the quest

@@GAMERTAGVR Please ask the devs to put this option back. I find the game unplayable with toggle grip on Index controllers. You can't avoid gripping with Index controllers. And even on other controllers it breaks immersion.
I've read that the developer thinks toggle grip is what everyone should want because his own fingers get too tired otherwise, but he's wrong.
Good news! Hold to grip has already been added as an option in the latest patch.

Sad to hear ubisoft are not happy with assassin's creed nexus on quest and are stalling any further vr games.
They shouldn’t have made it a exclusive game, the vr market is still too small for that.

I am sad that I bought the game, but on secondary account, which primary account on the Quest 3 cannot play. If I play on secondary account, I can't get the gameplay video capture to sync to the smartphone Meta Quest app. After learning this, I tried to refund whatever games I bought on secondary account, but wasn't in policy (waited too long) for Assassin's Creed Nexus.
Lot of utility I take for granted on the PlayStation systems in terms of device / game sharing that doesn't work the way I reasonably expect on Meta Quest.

How do I use a wand everything I’ve looked at I’ve never understood how they worked
You need to go to your abilities and equip a spell and when you use the spell holding a wand it gets whatever buffs the wand has
@@RogothePogo so the wand stats of attack dont affect the spell? if the want dont have buffs, its just the same that doing with the hand?

Smash crates, barrels, and vases. There's a chance they'll drop a mana or blood crystal
