NEW?
Hey there, I’m Ashe and you can find me on Twitch! I love talking about food, focusing on the lore of video games, and chatting about anime. Stop in sometime, would love to say hi!

BUSINESS INQUIRIES: ashewyn@ggtalentgroup.com
I'm sorry if there are any audio cuts or imbalances in this video! This is before I knew I wanted to put any of these on RUclips. Future videos are recorded and will be much more balanced ♥ Next week I go to my first hobby store to check out some figurines and possibly buy the Omnibus book if I find it!!
Space Marines have special blood that can clot under certain circumstances
They normally eat super food which Is poisonous too a human and they need sleep but If necessary they can go In survival Mode were They can function very long without Food Or real sleep
Right before the inquisitor becomes corrupted by the warp you can hear him yell “recall them immediately”. That one moment of losing focus is what lead to his possession.
The guy that "overhauled" the audio of the original needs to be charged with heresy!
Agreed. The original music was much better.
@@citronm1405 not just the music. The sfx in general is just a downgrade. My ear is untrained enough that if I only heard the new version, I probably wouldn’t realize it could be better, but having watched and heard the old version, AS IT WAS COMING OUT, this “updated,” downgraded version is painful to listen to.
Some of the music was copyrighted music from other games
@@Rangerdoom I think it was music from Dredd iirc. Whatever it was they didn’t have the rights to it so they couldn’t use it, which is a shame because I totally agree that the original music is way better.
I assume they had to do it for legal reasons.
Astartes do eat, have toilets, and they need to sleep. But not in the same amount than a regular person. Chapters usually have unique diets based on tradition, and they eat a little. They don't nee to sleep more than 3-4 hours a night, and they can go probably 2 weeks without sleep before they start to feel the need for it. Yes, they go to the bathroom.
They executed the Inquisitor so fast because any delay and thing that possessed him would take control, and mutate him into some gigantic daemonic abomination, that would take significant forces to stop rampaging, especially on board of a spaceship.
The original Audio was way better / games workshop changed it for some reason. They basically hired this guy - and then never used him. He’s literally just a golden goose kept in the basement at this point
So sad 🥲
I believe he worked on the Exodite and other animated works.
They don't want him upstaging their billion dollar company. They'd rather him do nothing than make them look bad.
Apparently, a lot of the audio was copyrighted material.
@Jakaze_ Some of the OST Syama used was from the Dredd movie with Karl Urban.
The abnormal looking blood is because of their super fast blood clotting ability in order to heal wounds at a more rapid pace than normal humans. This is why their battle scars are so prominent.
!! But that doesn’t really explain why their scars don’t fade over time if they’re so advanced and have tougher skin. Because the fading of the scar doesn’t have anything to do with their blood clotting factor 🤔 I guess it might make sense if the wound heals so quickly and closes up it will be a much larger mark on the skin.
@@Ashewyn the thing is that in order for a scar to be less visible, wound should be treated all the way until it heals. Space Marines doesn't have such a luxury, not to mention that wounds they take tend to get are really nasty ones, so their healing factor is aimed to stop the bleeding and cover the exposed flesh ASAP, which means it will rush to patch it with a scar tissue once it clogged, because even though it still happens crazy fast compared to regular humans, it still take from minutes to hours even for the flesh wounds. It has a flipside as well, because if some organs are messed up badly, such emergency healing could make things worse, with surgery being the only way to fix the issue. Complex precision surgeries are also tricky to say the least, because connective tissue will keep getting into the way of surgeon is not quick enough.
And Space Marines doesn't have a magic healing factor from a comic books, so once the scar is there, it's there - their bodies are almost a pinnacle of a human biology, but that biology has its limits, which means that healing doesn't equals a complete restoration, they can't grow missing chunks of a body back outside of complex bioengineering procedures, as I've mentioned, complicated by the healing factor itself, and probably the reason for Space Marines resorting to augmentation instead (and the reason why Dreadnaughts exists - space marine could be messed up badly, but stay alive thanks to some extra organs features and the healing factor preventing him from dying on the spot, but before he could get a medical treatment, organs, nerves and muscles would be violated by the scar tissue beyond repair and will fail eventually without the life support tools).
@@Ashewyn When you watch the video on the process of how a little 10 year old boy gets turned into an Astartes, you'll come across something called the "Lariman's Cells"
Think of them like super platelets, they're blood cells in your body that stops you from dying from a slit. Whenever the marine is wounded Lariman's Cells flood to the cut and damn near instantenously form rough scar tissue to close the wound. Think of it like concrete, their scars are so prominent because they have quick drying cement which looks uglier but is much quicker. Where as us humans have normal cement that dries smoothly and eventually, becomes like the skin around it. Astartes don't care, being almost impossible to bleed out is a more than fair trade for looking pretty
As for the video look closely how the blood almost instantly dries and changes colour when he vomits it up, those are the Lariman's Cells trying to react but there's no wound to close. The attention to detail in this thing is wacky, he did not at all need to put that in there, so major props
@@evilbabai7083 "tissue will keep getting into the way of surgeon is not quick enough. " That's why Space Marines' Surgeons - Apothecaries - are Space Marines themselves. Only Space Marine is quick and precise enough to operate other Space Marine.
@@Ashewyn
"If they're so advanced" - I don't mean to sound rude, but do you know exactly how advanced they are (and how advanced one needs to be for scars to go away) to make such claims?
Notice that the plasma gun was able to fire three times without exploding. Space marines truly are given humanity's finest weapons.
probably master crafted to re-roll those 1's
@nimblesheepvenomous3811 It was not given a month to cool off between shots so... yeah, master crafted gun indeed!
this is possibly one of the best fan made 40K work, it is unfortunate we will probably not see part 2
Wdym part 2 was confirmed recently
@@Kingkarl-365 was it? Oh that will be good news. Do you have a link? I wonder if it's independent or with GW
@@LawrenceSeetoh nah I'm just BSing, you had hope though.
@@Kingkarl-365 lol. Hope in WH40K , what a concept right?

I didn't expect you reacting to Astartes. Welcome to 40k! If you want to learn more about it I suggest brickys videos or ttts emperor.
Agreed, Bricky has great videos. He is prob the best for entry level lore videos
@@calebcundiff1057She's done some Bricky, check out the channel!
I just watched part 1 of the faction videos! That will go up next ☺️
There's no reason to listen to Bricky when there are many better 40K RUclipsrs, Bricky is a memelord. The 4chan memery is cancer to 40K
@@jeffk862I sense there is more value in watching a Bricky video, than there is in listening to your very controversial, opinionated take on the subject.
the intro from the original video was better IMO, no background music during the space bit of the boarding action.
Problem with the original soundtrack was that the creator used the background track to the2009 Dredd movie. It fit the aesthetics better but obv. can't use that without paying for it.
Another reaction next will be Helsreach. The Black Templar chapter. Adaptation from audiobook💚
The difference between a normal human and a Space Marine is nearly that of a different species, it's not going too far to term Space Marines as demi gods in contrast to normal humans. They do need to eat, drink and sleep though but not to the same standards as normal people. Food wise they do need way more than a normal human which makes sense as a Space Marine is the size and weight of an adult male polar bear. Sleep they can actually go a very long time without as they can turn off parts of their brains to rest it like dolphins can, the record for longest time in lore is 328 hrs during combat where the Marine simply did not have time to sleep. They are nearly immortal too aging extremely slow but even then it's mostly just cosmetic retaining their strength, speed and mental sharpness with some of the oldest Space marines being a couple thousand years old and the oldest being in a dreadnought being nearly 10,000 years old and still being able to have a conversation as well as tell newer Space Marines about ages past. His Name is Bjorn the fell handed and he even attends parties with his brothers as a Dreadnought. lol
As a little sidenote, the space marines featured in this are called the retributors. They are a fan chapter made by the creator and have been made canon since this guy was hired by GW
This type of short make me curious about the Warhammer lore and man, is a rabbit hole.
Yes if you try to learn it know it'll take you a couple years unless you watch simplified lore vids
So blood doesn't look normal because Space Marine blood clots almost immediatly making it very hard for them to bleed out.
The original audio is better and not as gentrified as what's on the Warhammer website. You can still find it on youtube on some channels. I prefer "theChach" 's compilation.
I definitely recommend bricky's video about the Warhammer factions, then the different chapters of space marines, still a video of his
I like how confusing 40k must be for many people, but they really enjoy watching it. I think the first 10 minutes was probably 80% question to the audience of what the heck was going on. :) Welcome to the 40k fandom! :D
Damn you watched the reuploaded one with the Games Workshop music changes. The original has so much more character with its music.
I actually don't agree. The music in the Warhammer + version is more understated. The sound effects are worse though for sure
The chapter is Retributors. They're basically sons of Primarch Rogal Dorn. They executed the Inquisitor because he was about to be possessed since he lost his concentration the moment he told the Space Marine to get the team who boarded the ship to get the hell out of there. A possessed psyker is extremely dangerous because they can either manifest or turn into daemons themselves which, could endanger the entire ship. Unless you had an extremely skilled and powerful Space Marine, or even a Grey Knight whose sole purpose is to fight daemons, or *named Ultramarine* onboard, then either lose the psyker or lose the ship.
It's a shame but the video you watched was bit edited, I suppose the first scene that was cut out wasn't that important (it was more of a mood/setting set piece) but they cut out a few seconds at the end showing the rest of the one Marine's squad appearing on those other pillers in the foreground.
If you look carefully at the end after it's being teleported you will see four flashes in the distance, thats the other marines.
At the end if you look close you can see flashes on the pillars off in the distance.. the other marines appearing.
I'm not 100% certain, but IIRC two silver tabs and a gold would mean that marine was in service for over 700 years.
Captured Orb 1: Who is here?
Orb 2: I have failed, brother.
Orb 1: We have all failed.
Orb 2: The Astartes defy our touch. We must return. Break your seal.
Orb 1: Impossible, we will never survive. You must take them.
Inquisitor: BRING THEM BACK IMMEDIATELY.
Captured orb 1: Who is there?
Orb 2: I have failed
Orb 1: Brother, we have ALL failed, the Astartes deny our touch. You must return, break your shield.
Orb 2: Impossible: will never survive.
Orb 1: You must! Take them!
Inquisitor: Recall them immediately!
Orb 1: Yes....
The discussion is the captured orb telling the orb surrounded by the Astartes to flee and bring the Astartes with him.
@@drhapi5308 Why would the captured orb tell the free one to break its shield? And I got this from the original vid comment section when was asked.
There is also an Astartes 2 teaser out there on youtube.
Possessed pyskers can most likely explode or create a warp portal
Watch Helsreach. It's absolutely fantastic.
So after they get spit out of the warp. Are they on the planet in the first short? Like the aliens were having the cultists search the planet or something?
Oh man, I love FatherHammer
Thoughts on which area of Chaos the orb represents? I'm leaning Tzeentch cos of the visual fuckery and the long game.
Don't forget humans, there is good in the universe.
A Greater Good.💙
That sounds like some SUPER heresy to me!
@@lordmortarius538 D:
yes its common to drop like that for space marines.... did you... did you ever heard of Grey Knighs?
You watched a video from warrior teir the other day. If you would like a story of sadness and honor and death.
The t he first war for armaggedon is a beautiful and tragic story.
Every time someone watches a Warhammer 40k video with Chat, they bombard them with extra information which is usually either way too detailed and deep, wrong, or just completely out of context, which always confuses the viewer. I know they mean well...but it never helps.
listen to Gorkagirl and radamee in your chat and ignore others lol, these two are the only ones that seem to know stuff.
The dude's custom chapter is grey. Must not like painting minis LOL
This was good
At first I thought the silence was due to copywrite. But then I thought why would Sodaz copywrite strike people?
There was one song that was throwing up copyright issues sadly.
Bravo.
" do i need to know anything" fucking hell... ok, so ummm there's a grimdark thing and the guys have black carapaces also the emperor is like half dead but he's a god but he's not and he hates religion but everyone worships his half dead............. yeah no, you're good.

Oh no.... she watched the BUTCHERED version of this animation...
Тактика 😂😂
You should check out death of hope; it is possibly the best, and most 40k, of the 40k fan made projects.
There are two trailers and the first episode available.
Unfortunately the creator decided not to finish the project due to a combination of being pressured by fans to rush it to completion and GW deciding to threaten people who make 40k fan content.
What a weird music in this video? It's not original and it ruins pretty much
Apparently the workshop changed it?
What u think about Emily the new singer from LP
I think she's amazing 🤩
Love the new 2 songs, have u listen to them yet ? If not can u react
I’ve already seen clips of her performance and listened to the latest song! I think she’s going to be a fantastic addition to Linkin Park ☺️
this bozo needs to just watch the damn thing and not talk or read the chat every second to fake a reaction. Literally you can see her miss simple things because of it.
