Tim's untouchable quote reminds me of times I'd go to deliver, see the person in the door, and they just point to the ground in front of the door. Like ok, I guess you'd rather have your food sitting on the ground instead of just interacting with me? (Post covid)
some people are living with crippling anxiety, and honestly only making it worse for themselves by engaging in further anti-social behavior. You need to surrender to the fact that you need other people in this world to survive - no one can live on their own and survive for long. They want the services and goods provided by others but can't fathom gratitude for others enough to interact with the people who help keep them alive.
I think it is. There is a bit of a rivalry between restaurant staff and doordashers. The restaurant staff don't like us dashers, because we get the customers tip instead of them. Also when they quit, they often become dashers, because its a good safety net between other jobs, and sometimes its fun so you just keep doing it. They see that we aren't as miserable as them and I think it makes them jealous.
Got my masters right before covid. Lost my job during covid, then kept getting covid from delivering food. I've got a STEM degree. I used to be an Uber eats driver and the amount of stolen orders was infuriating cause the previous driver would cancel the order but keep the food so the order would be sent out and it would always be a great tip too and I’d show up to the restaurant and they’d tell me sorry another driver just picked it up. Why wouldn’t you just take that order, get the good tip and steal an order with no tip or a low tip? It was so infuriating
Interesting fact: Per capita delivery drivers is a more lethal job than being a cop. 🤣 I know that sounds untrue but not only is it true, Delivery drivers are almost TWICE as likely to die on the job.
Yes, i believe it has to do with constantly driving to places you arent necessarily familar with, and being distracted constantly with messages and notices on phone while driving. Then you add in the element of encountering 10-12 people per day in their homes.
Also they pay us per delivery, not by the hour, so to make more money per hour, you have to do more deliveries, which requires driving faster and less safe.

Tim is not wrong. I dashed and we’ll people are cheap scum. Yup that’s what I learned as top dasher in Boston. One time I was attacked in the city of Lynn fun times.
My quarrel with food delivery is these restaurants just sit the food out on a shelf and by the door. Like anyone can walk in and take it. Random people can just look at the order, see what looks good, and leave with it
Depends on the area. Many places used to do that in my area but eventually the thieves become a problem and they start keeping the food in the kitchen. Theres a chick fil a and a Wendy's near me that both left the food on a counter for dashers to grab, they have both stopped doing that. I had many orders stolen from that chic fil a.
@@chrisrichfield8906they still do it at most places in my area. Either the restaurant workers do not care or the stealing isn’t as bad as it could be. I think it should all be behind the counter. @@TheFreshAirChannel yeah good point I forgot Uber has to have a more recent car registered
last time i did doordash at night there was a shootout two houses down while i was out of the car dropping the food off and i didn’t even flinch like if it gets me it gets me 😭
"risking thier life so an NYU student can eat that Ramen..piping hot" had me 😂
Tim is definitely one of those people who doesn’t tip well thus gets his food stolen
2:55 Theo knowing where the joke is going and fighting back laughter is the best. Untouchables = doordasher.
I’m just gonna say as a former DoorDash driver- yes. We are in a lot of pain 😂 That was the worst time of my life
Yes fax 😂
I'm a DoorDasher, I have had to crawl through bomb shelters carrying nunchucks and a pizza, being chased by wolves and vampires. Tough gig
There are times when im dashing and i see a homeless person and i think "i could save this man with a cellphone and a 500$ beater car". I might have ended up homeless myself without doordash.
Don’t they require you to have a nice car?😭
@@Angel-Otk only if you deliver people. They don't care what you drive to deliver food.
@@chrisrichfield8906 now that’s actually good to know, thanks!🤣😮💨
Incorrect they require a certain age car but don't look at mileage and shiz
I’m a Grub Hub’r and did door dash through the pandemic. The real problem is peoples dogs, ordinary people are extremely weak, it’s their dogs you have to watch out for.
I love these random conversations
Damn! With the shade at doordashers. I refuse to ever look at somebody else like that.
Stay humble my brothers and sisters!
Worked as a DoorDasher while I was interviewing for my first finance job. Would average 25/hour in wealthy county picking up chipotle from the rack and dropping it off a mile down the road. Was actually awesome and I miss it kind of lol
I do grubhub in a wealthy area. I average about $20/hr after gas cost. It's not great but I work when I want and have no boss. It's fine for now.
What finance job
Tim's untouchable quote reminds me of times I'd go to deliver, see the person in the door, and they just point to the ground in front of the door.
Like ok, I guess you'd rather have your food sitting on the ground instead of just interacting with me?
(Post covid)
I feel shame when I order doordash so I don't want anyone knowing me
There is no post CoVid. There is still CoVid. Everyone in my family just had it last month. This is valid and safer for all.
some people are living with crippling anxiety, and honestly only making it worse for themselves by engaging in further anti-social behavior. You need to surrender to the fact that you need other people in this world to survive - no one can live on their own and survive for long.
They want the services and goods provided by others but can't fathom gratitude for others enough to interact with the people who help keep them alive.
Yes
I feel so sad looking at ppl stuck behind desks so tomato tomato
It's not even the work you're doing, it's how little you're making while doing it
"there goes my hero, watch him as he goes" that was so damn funny
I door-dashed in Baltimore for two years and ended up in some sketchy ass places man
I've never seen Tim Dillon laugh this much on a podcast. This episode was pure gold when it came out.
hes got a point, there is no memorial for fallen Doordashers
"One of the last thought you have is 'man this song is great'"
That’s why I stay strapped while doordashing
This was a master class in riffing. Take notes boys.
The American business community does seem to want to create a caste system with no Unions and slave wages
Yeah they kinda did already
Immigrants keep showing up willing to work for less.
I love how Tim cracks up Theo, it's so authentically hilarious.
That could be a large part of our employee shortage where people found a easier job delivering burritos and dropping people off at the nightclub
With student loans, the only thing that makes enough money to keep from being homeless is a job with no limitations like delivering food. I get chased by homeless, had people try to car jack me, and every month is a struggle.
I want a legit job, but I gave up after three years of applying and not being able to afford a portfolio website anymore.
Great job on the Masters, thats awesome.
@@Shadowfynx I appreciate you. It was tough and I question if it was worth it career-wise, but I learned valuable skills.
You may need to move to another state. There are jobs that will pay for your re-location fees! I suggest checking out Indeed and not typing in your city and state. Just type in your profession and an entire list of available positions will pop-up all over the nation.
@@deejay1216 I've applied to more than 4k jobs in three years. There are no junior positions in my field due to AI and hiring freezes that have been going on for the duration. My field is oversaturated due to layoffs. Tech RnD
Find a nearby college town bro. Rat race cities are so saturated and unsafe. you got this
I used to be an Uber eats driver and the amount of stolen orders was infuriating cause the previous driver would cancel the order but keep the food so the order would be sent out and it would always be a great tip too and I’d show up to the restaurant and they’d tell me sorry another driver just picked it up.
Doordash is a horrible gig in 2024. The company does everything it can to screw over the customer as well as the Dashers.
I was considering working there what are they doing to the workers?
As a former DoorDasher you really see the full spectrum of humanity.
Im gonna have to say, Instacart shoppers definitely bother me more than door dashers 🤣
I don’t think you realize how shitty instacart pay is.
@@______4790 I can believe it
Salute to those crazy enough to do so.. I had a dasher named Robert Delivery me some Condoms, and Donuts/PayDay bar at 2 am, in -30 degree weather.. Ya know, the jobs not for me, but god bless their souls. 🖖
Used to be a dasher, life was thought, still thought but stopped doing it.
Rain, wind, hot, dangerous areas, traffic, car towed, parking tickets. Exhausting
Before you go canceling Tim, know that his patronage is providing hundreds of doordashers jobs today.
im a food service worker, i look away when i see doordashers too
Damn they had a DoorDash delivery scene playing in my mind. There goes my hero… watch him as he goes…
Mad respect. These two are so funny - just improvising and riffing on Door Dash…. This could be a standup bit.
Theo's been listening to Foo Fighters and Creed lately.
Tim is generational. Just a Special unique comedian that we need desperately 😂😂
When I drove for DoorDash I always conceal-carried.
Tim Dillon and Theo Von is the combination I knew I needed
Watching Theo laugh uncontrollably while someone else makes an off the wall joke while keeping a straight face is actually... i dunno i'm high af i didn't think i'd get this far
Underrated how silly this video is, wow hilarious
In the beginning when doordash came out, you weren't able to get accepted in "6 minutes". I think when I applied when it first came out it was a couple weeks. So of course it's probably different, but it's crazy how much their standards has changed.
Took me about 6 minutes back in 2020, but my step brother has been trying for over a year now and they still won't accept him.
@@chrisrichfield8906 ig it all depends cuz my friend had the same experience.. they didn't except us right away

Watching this while doing door dash 🤣🤣🤣
As a delivery guy in manhattan I do feel that way at times. It’s so wierd. Not everyone is like that, frankly a small minority of people. But there are deff people who want you to come to their door, yet treat you like a danger or disease.
Tim is not wrong. I dashed and we’ll people are cheap scum. Yup that’s what I learned as top dasher in Boston. One time I was attacked in the city of Lynn fun times.
There is no one better able to capture the absurdity of the modern world than Tim.
There are even some stores like Michael’s in my area where you can order products for pickup online and they leave it on a shelf that is 100% self serve
i do it enough now just to keep my scolarship with uber , people who do it or try to do it full time are true heros
Safe to say Tim has opened the door naked hoping for a good time🎉
Nah man when he said "When I see them in the wild, I look away" Like a rich kid when he sees the help his father let go😂😂🤣
