Always check the screws connecting the riser to the optic. On my Gen 1 Spitfire 3x, I found they were loose (had loosened). Not a huge problem, but there was 1-2 mm of movement that would not be good for accuracy. I tightened them with a drop of blue thread lock, and reassembled.
This thing is shorter and has better eye relief than the micro 6x they just released at shot show, I wish they sold a flip to side mount for this so you could mount it behind your red dot, then flip it into view and dim out or turn off your primary red dot, and have that nice bdc reticle to use.
Awesome upgrades to the Spitfire prism scope. I love the smaller profile and T2 mount footprint for qd mount options. Will this be offered in a 1x version in the future? Is the reticle daylight bright? Thanks for the video!
Great question - these are not daylight bright reticles when illuminated. I'm not aware of plans to update the 1x at this time, but our team is always working on new products! Appreciate the kind words, my friend! Thanks for being a part of Vortex Nation!
While it is rated for it, the Spitfire HD Gen II wouldn't be our first choice for that setup as the SCAR is notoriously hard on optics. The Razor HD Gen II-E 1-6x24 would be the best choice for that setup.
DO RECOMMEND A CERTAIN RISER TO SPACE THE OPTIC MORE BACK LIKE PRIMARY ARMS DOES WITH THEIR PRISMS? HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THAT COMING? ALSO IS THE OPTIC A RMR MOUNT? THANKS
Love Vortex LPVO's and I would like the spitfire but the biggest problem for me is their Mount. I wish they would install bolt head or QD levers instead for easier swappable optics. The screws after a few times removed won't fit your torch rench due to over wear.
I found the eyerelief was to close on the 3x on a ruger american ranch, and sold it again. I think this is a AR style optic only.. On a traditionel stock, eyerelief is just not good enough.
I want to mount this on a Benelli MR1. because of the rear sight, the rail is further up on the receiver. is there any mount that can extend back so it's closer to my eye?
I am new to this type scope I have the Spitfire1x mounted on an AR15. When zeroing, do i ignore the front site post or put the red dot on top of the front fixed post?
Silly question, would you be able to use a magnifier behind the already 5x magnification? I have the Vortex VMX-3T behind my Strikefire II. I know I would just get a LPVO to achieve more magnification, but just curious....
Hey there - no you would not be able to. Both the magnifier and the prism scope are subject to eye relief and use prisms within the optics. These are not compatible paired up together.
I have a new SPITFIRE 3X PRISM SCOPE and like to put it on my Rock River AR 15. However, my rifle has a fixed front sight. Do you think it will work? Would I be able to put an MBUS as a backup rear sight? Thanks in advance.
You wouldn't be able to put the flip up sight behind it due to the eye relief. You would need that optic mounted all the way back on the rail. It would certainly clear the front post, but it may be slightly visible in the lower part of the window.
I just saw this, I had no idea this small 5x was out. So I bought it . Only 2 left at Amazon now lol. Will use on a new 6.5 Grendel pistol . I just can’t afford LPVO that I really would LIKE $2400 so this is a better option
They are available in Switzerland and Germany, possibly in the Netherlands, if you g..gle around I am sure you will find one that ships to your location (if you haven't found one yet).

works beautifully
Thank vortex... warranty is the best
We've always got your back!
@@VortexOpticsUSA Yes, thank you vortex just gave me a brand new spitfire II HD 3X PRISM
Thanks for the video and tips! Will the sight fit on a standard picatinny 1'' riser? If we need to source a replacement riser.
Looking to get the 5x for my new Henry x model 45/70 for close/medium range deer hunting
I’m here because of this very reason but 30-30!

Love VORTEX 🤟
What about the mounting for an ARX 100?

Will the new prism sights handle the Scar 17 kick?

Do they make A 11mm weaver rail prism scope?

Hey Mike - appreciate the feedback and we'll definitely pass that along!

Had one for 2 days (3x). Sent it back due to way to short eyereliefe

I think I'll get the 3X for my Sub 2000.
Any thoughts ?
Why would you need magnification for a gun that is sub 100 yards?
@@jonseres So I can see better
Would the optic be in the wronf spot if you had iron sights
It will be in the way of your rear sights because prism scopes - like the Spitfire HD Gen II are subject to eye relief
What other style mounts work with the 5x Spitfire optic for my AR?
I am new to this type scope I have the Spitfire1x mounted on an AR15. When zeroing, do i ignore the front site post or put the red dot on top of the front fixed post?
You probably won't see the front sight through the 3x or 5x optic
Would you recommend thread locker?
There should be no need for thread locker.
Do you have a trade in program I hate my strike eagle 1-8

@@VortexOpticsUSA Thank you.
What kind of rifle bench clamp is that?
That is a Tipton gun vise.

Vortex Spitfire - super! When will this scope in Russia?!)
Contact your local dealer to see when they are planning on having shipments come in! They can start placing orders now!
ITAR....
When would these be available in the EU?
I won’t...ITAR ITEM

I want to mount this in a 45 degree offset... poor mans D EVO!
I find this optic to be so far away from me. I have to close my buttstock all the way and I gotta be so close to where now I’m so uncomfortable
Needed a rear swept mount....I swapped the mount from my PA MD25 to get it a little farther back.
That is way too high for that vz58
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍🇺🇦
replace this barn with a normal office!
Need the 1x to be revamped to the size of this 3x
Noted - we're not aware of any plans for something like that at this time, but we'll definitely pass the request along!
