Hermitcraft season 9 episode 49! We are back on Hermitcraft for an expansion of Scarland with a mega volcano! The Scarland Volcano will be the first expansion of the park and ride. This new land will be mysterious isles and will be full of amazing buildings and landscaping. Also, I built my Decked Out alcove as the MooPOP cafe and give away pancakes to the Hermits waiting to play Decked Out 2. I won phase one of Decked Out and second place for phase 2. Honestly, makes sense that people wouldn't really notice it. You don't really hug the walls in DO, and whenever it's someone else trying to run from ravagers, they usually stick to the middle. Scar... sometimes does what he wants to at the time, so him just stumbling onto it? Perfect.
I think a lot of the other Easter eggs in the powdered snow were discovered accidentally by other hermits.
Others found them by accident too. Cub, Hypno and maybe some others too.

I was so on edge watching Scar parade around on half a heart, seeing the cut at 13:02 to full hearts, 7 levels, and his inventory slightly rearranged was perfect environmental storytelling
It would be cool if impulse set up phases of the volcano with red stone. Like it would cycle between dormant, smoking, eruption, lava pouring, and then back to dormant. Kind of like the Rainforest Cafe volcano at Disney

@@OscarLT321 my thought would be campfires that would have pistons push blocks to cover the smoke and then the pistons would retract the blocks to make the “smoking” phase, eruption could be fireworks coming out and some sounds effects, and then lava would essentially be the same as “smoking” where blocks would keep lava sources from flowing and then the pistons would retract and allow the lava source block to flow. I’m no redstoner but my hope is that would be a simple way to bring life to the volcano
@@cameroncowan7471 Yeah that is possible. You are limited to the max height of the walls of the volcano in order to hide the redstone

I cant tell if scar knows or doesnt know that the horse curse is cause his food items are retextured golden carrots, so the horses follow him to get fed

It is really hard to tell with Scar if he is doing a bit, or genuinely confused
not a full eruption, but make a rollercoaster through the volcano as it's about to erupt and there lots of bubbles and a few spurts of lava that the tracks just dodge and make a jump over the middle of the volcano and right after you land a ton of orange red and yellow fireworks go off behind you like you just missed the lava blast.

A touch of Mustafar in the volcano wouldn't hurt.. we all know Scar is a huge star wars fan

Has anyone told Scar that the horse curse is just him holding modified golden carrots? 😂 also watching you hermits play Decked Out stresses me out so much, but I was laughing so hard when you accidentally found the easter egg.

Scar, if u don’t know, “the horse curse” just occurs because you are holding golden carrots. (Golden carrots can be used to breed tamed horses so they will follow you)

I constantly keep monitoring his exp level between cuts and its so funny to see how smoothly he manages to hide his deaths and the levels are the only thing that give it away😂😂
Yup lol, saw him at half a heart for 3 segments and suddenly go back up to full on the next, knew to check the Exp Levels because odds are he didn't get that health by eating any of the "Surely-Not-a-Golden-Carrot"s in his offhand.

I would say not erupting _but_ there should be a plume of smoke, maybe a slight glow from inside to give it intrigue at night as well (if BDubs allows it). In Scar we trust!

i would love to see another decked out movie! it’s so cool to see each of the hermits’ approaches to playing the game and how hyped everyone is about it. i’ve been loving all the videos where one person is running the dungeon with tango watching and there’s a crowd of hermits waiting their turn (and heckling each other, lol). also, so excited for the next phase of scarland! the volcano really reminds me of season 6, it’s kind of a cool reference back to your old base :)
As a fellow artist, I completely understand "trust the process," and honestly, the structure of the volcano looks really nice! I'm excited to see what it'll look like when it's done!
Also, please make another decked out movie! I can't get enough of hermits playing it!

Scar we trust you. Also I say no to the plume out of the volcano, think it will take away from focus on the castle a bit. I think some lava spilling down the side and some small smoke effects with campfires would be nice tho.
Only Scar can panic so hard that he accidentally finds an easter egg! One of the most hilarious moments if DO2 for sure, we'll be seeing that one in many highlight videos :D
For future reference, I’m pretty sure the swap shop at the back of Twinkly Trash has a ton of extra stone in the unmarked barrels!

I vote for the volcano to be continually smoking, with a timed eruption of flowing lava based on daylight sensor, or have Impulse work up a bigger, more complex version.
I like how you can know exactly what happened when he's on half a heart in one clip and then at full health in the next with 7 levels

I really enjoyed watching your first phase runs! I`d love to see more Decked Out content from all of the hermits (and especially you, because your reactions are one of the brightest and memorable!)
I think the volcano shouldn't be full on erupting, but simmering. Perhaps a few plumes of smoke billowing out could show it's active, but not erupting yet. Maybe you could get Impulse to figure out something to make it erupt on command for events!

Although that’s the best volcano I’ve ever seen
The volcano erupting would look super cool! I think it would be a good contrast from how colorful the rest of ScarLand is!
He's got a redstoner on payroll, with a few dispensers and daylight sensors the volcano could alternate between erupting, flowing, glowing lava at night, and a serene crater lake in the day. Likely some toggleable campfires for smoke.
Bonus points if it's scar-safe.

I swear Scar's DO runs stress me out more than ANY other of the hermits I watch. Idk what it is but it's like watching the lead up to a proper jumpscare, I LOVE it!
Season 9 really reminds me of Season 7 in the best way. Theres been so much fun community stuff happening constantly, and the longer season length means the builds are absolutely wild

Edit: I also know why you have the horse plague, the majority of your food is a remodeled golden carrot, which horses will use to breed which is why they follow you.
Scar somehow making it through the trolley at the start of this episode just felt like we should have had a bonk sound for the hardhat hitting it because it looked like we got scalped there og my gods I've rewatched that part over and over hoooow???

Decked out is such a marvel of engineering and Tango should be so proud. However… it’s so super creepy and my heart rate is elevated every single time I watch a Hermit do a run. It does look really fun though. ❤
You should definitely make a decked out movie for each phase
The volcano looks absolutely lovely! And before you question my taste, I'm mostly pleased with the sheer amount of potential the shape has.
As for the eruption, absolutely! It would be cool if you get the feeling like the volcano could blow any minute while you're walking around the park. That effect might be made with an AGGRESSIVE amount of smoke, a harsh glow at the top of the volcano (imagine what that would look like at night! :D), and skipping the lava running down the sides (cliché and implies the worst already happened). I want to walk through Adventure Isles with light anxiety and adrenaline, not doom.

I would love to see lava eruptors in MC. Like a block that you can place underneath 1 level of lava and every so often (maybe redstone based) send plumes of lava, smoke and debris flying through the air. Work some dispensers in on the sides for lava flowing down the side(s), and it would be amazing.
Really need to get better smoke emitters in game, not just campfires. They're nice, but just not large enough imo. Would be cool if we could set up 9 of them in a 3x3 and it sends out much larger smoke plumes.
For the volcano, I say have it glowing at the top, but no need for all the smoke. You already created an entire storm/hurricane this(?) season!

Forget eruptions - add a caldera! Fill it with tropical fish and axolotle, and put some (glass covered) magma blocks at the bottom.
You can put the magma (chamber) on the inside of your volcano and run a roller coaster through it.
As a person who does not enjoy watching decked out, I appreciate when you hermits put all your decked out runs in to separate episodes, then I know I can just skip those and watch the regular episodes when they come out. So go ahead and make another movie video with all your runs so that those who love decked out can get their share!

I agree that this season of Hermitcraft has been so good! I’ve enjoyed it so much so far and have been introduced to more amazing Hermits because of it! Turning out to be one of my favorite seasons, if not THE favorite!

I’ve probably forgotten some, but overall this has been - and is continuing to be - such an amazing season!

The Decked Out movies are what make Decked Out so much fun for us viewers. Without them it's just a big Tango redstone project. Definitely please keep them coming.

Scar, the shape of the volcano is beautiful and I completely trust your process - you are an artist. And, yes, I think having the volcano erupting would look amazing. This is gonna sound weird, but I think a small part of the land should try to match the theme Doc flag makes. That way, even if the flag is very visible, it still feel like part of the land.
