Let me know what your favorite part of the series was?!
No comments? Welp- just letting you know you're a freakin' menace and I couldn't be more proud of you in this series (any anywhere else). Don't ever stop, but also don't force content if you don't feel well sometimes. Got a disabled little bro so I get a few things you sometimes go through, and I wish you the absolute best!
:D
The part where you refused to kill Pearl for the hearts. That's not a villain but a main character behavior. Congrats Scar!
Scar, you forgot to pin the comment...
(Also congrats this was super incredible)
Congrats Scar! You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain...
Definitely the game of chicken with you Impulse and Bdubs!
was anyone REALLY hoping he'd accidentally reroll for a hard task at the end?
How did you read my mind?
That would been golden lol
better he presses fail and thats how he dies
I was hoping he'd purposefully do that
I was yelling at my screen for him not to
To think, this series began with Scar immediately failing his task within the first five minutes. What a comeback this was
At least he succeeds his hard task thirty seconds after re roll
And Mumbo's impossible task to keep him from taking damage.
Third life was similar. He was the first red, and yet he tied with Grian.
@@magentaballthepolandball5130that true grain did beat him in third life grain win and grain say both win and I’m knowing what saying too
it wasnt that hard@@striker8961
Gem: "Scar has to be low"
Scar: Has 25 hearts
The best part is the episode begins with everyone raving about how stacked Gem and Pearl were because it was common knowledge that they got a ton of kills last round, but literally nobody paid attention to the fact that Scar got like 90% of the kills this week and thus got a **** ton of hearts along the way.
@@kylemohs8728 well the no final death messages didn't help 😆
As suspenseful as it is just hearing the thunder, Limited Life's finale system (if combined with showing the death messages) was the best
@@theAstarrrYeah, I really wish the final death messages were shown, I don’t know why they’re not.
@@izzytodd4242 I think it's because they're put into spectator mode before dying or something.
I guess they didn't have time to fine tune the packs (but I had time when doing Bedrock versions, and made sure to include them lol)
Ever since Limited Life, they haven't had the death messages.
It’s so impressive how much Scar improved. From being carried by Grian in the first series and barely getting a hit on him in the final duel to winning the life series without friends the whole time and getting the most kills (correct me if I’m wrong about the kills). Well done Scar.
Good time with scar got much better and improved a lot too!!
Scar did have the most kills this season. Over the course of the season, he had 11 kills, with Gem being second at 8. Six of those kills scar got were final eliminations. Dude was a beast this season.
wow
I think he improved his pvp skills a lot since joining mcc in my opinion. He’s just gotten increasingly better ever since

Tango was half a heart or one heart when he fell so he was going to die from that no matter how high the fall was
I was the 1 thousandth like of the comment, but so true
Lore wise, I genuinely think that the Watchers wanted Scar to win. Think about it, the whole time he just wanted to make some friends, but every other task just made him the main target of the server. If it weren't for the Secret Keeper, aka the Watchers, Scar wouldn't have the liberty of just popping into an alliance at the last minute and literally winning the game. He basically became the Watcher's Champion.
Dude... Scar's arc is possibly the best win of the Life Series to date.
He starts out only wanting to make friends, but destiny has it that time and time again he is painted as the villain (literally). But then, in the end, he finally finds friends willing to sacrifice themselves for him, and then he duels with TWO previous winners and comes out on top.
There was a lot of interesting content for the animatic creators in this series. I'd love to see one playing on the themes of predestination and free will (that's the Calvinist in me talking), like how Scar is forced by destiny to fulfill this villain role but Joel points out that he still had free role in who he chose to afflict with his villainy. Also in both Scar's and Joel's perspective I loved how Bdubs assured Scar their bows weren't pointed at him, and then said they wouldn't be cowards and should charge into battle, and then died as an indirect result of being accidentally shot by Joel. Little bit of quiet foreshadowing there, further emphasising how Fate was in control all along.
AND THEN GRIAN
The one who started it all with Scar, the one who won all the way back in Third Life, right at the beginning, because of Scar - his best friend - and Scar's sacrifice in their duel... It is the GHOST of GRIAN who finally tells him "Scar, you've won... You did it Scar". OH THE LORE! MY HEART CAN'T TAKE THIS!!
Beautifully written! I agree, my heart can't take this, haha!
Beg to differ that Pearls is a lot better
If your Lore heart will survive the realization... keep in mind Grian played a critical role to help. He used his last moments to take the overpowered Gem-Scott-Impulse down from like 50 hearts each to a single row, i think Gem had only 5 before getting the kill on him and bumping it to 15. If he hadnt gotten so much of their health down, there is a high chance that Scar- who is already taking some heavy hits in the fights he's initiating, especially the Gem one- could have had a different fate.
Well said!! The Third/Secret life parallel hit like a truck-
@@violetlupus5676more evidence that desert duo is soulmates for life😭
For someone calling themselves "villain scar," you were pretty darn nice to Pearl there at the end. That was a rather wholesome moment (ironically as you were trying to chase down Gem.)
I love Pearl aggressively saying 'mate' as they duked it out
Especially the parallel of Gem killing Scott almost immediately and Scar refusing. A poetic end for the Villain of the season.
I really thought he was going to let the zombie kill him after he did the deed
This was the most Scar win possible:
- The whole episode insane skills with a bow
- didn't take Pearl on her offer
- had a great fight with Gem
- and then...
- won and didn't realize
Tbh his movement and sword skills this episode were really good too. He got to people so quickly and efficiently, and he kept on hitting crits on every single one of his targets :D
barely avoided death because grian failed to set off minecart tnt correctly
- Accidentally dropped a horrifying double entendre into his inspiring victory speech.
the fact that he didnt even realize he won made it better
Scar seem to actually been pretty good at PVP and his bow practice from being Hotguy really seem to helped him out in the series
Usually grian causes scar to die directly or indirectly in these series, this time he accidentally got him to win by demolishing an entire team of 3 on his way out
Fr he took jem from 50-5 hearts and Scott from 30-12 he really went out with a BANG
Grian indirectly helping Scar for once
Do u mean gem and Scott?
Grian kind of payed him back for the first Life season
edit: I'M THE 69TH LIKE, ME
He almost caused him to die if he remembered to place a block on the mine cart tnt
I just love how cinematic and dramatic that ending was with all the relationships coming together. Gem still thinking Pearl was her friend and propably feeling betrayed and confused by Pearl attacking her. Pearl finally accepting Scar as an ally and even offering her sacrifice to him, as she originally intended for her Mounders. And, finally, Scar, at last overcoming his villain stigma, refusing to take Pearls sacrifice, hyping up Pearl to go into battle, equally ready to give his life for her as she was for him. It's just such a beautiful coming together of little storylines, I am amazed that it all played out so naturally in the end.
made me cry
Its so poetic. And Scar not even realizing he won made me cry, its like when two friends were enjoying the fight so much that Scar didn't realize he killed Pearl.
these hermits have a serious talent for acting and creating stories. beautiful.
Ikr!! Absolutely PHENOMENAL ending!!
And don’t forget that Scott sacrificed himself to Gem to give her extra hearts.
Scar might not be the best at Minecraft, but he's amazing at the social aspect of this series using his charisma to talk his way in and out of things and using relationships to his advantage. Don't count this guy out in the life series.
Tbf this series was stacked against him with the tasks scar got that made himself a outcast he deserved his win
I never did. And I was always arguing with those who were saying "Oh, Scar is going to be second out of the series"...
He just lied to himself that no one wanted to ally with him because whenever someone was trying to be allies he was just distracted thinking about killing them lol
"How'd the guy with no friends win?"
That actually broke my heart 😢

he did finally make friends tho
@@user-xv1fn8ob7p True true! With honor and respect as he does deserve!

To be fair pearl won double life without anyone
Scar may have unintentionally played this whole series perfectly. By never truly having close friends or tight alliances, he was able to play everyone to his advantage. Accidental Big brain 😂
He played both sides
He did what B-Dubs was trying to do only without the loyalty attached. It worked much better for him than B-Dubs
@@AlexMunz-bg3bc and came out on top
Never underestimate Scar’s ability to talk anyone into doing anything.
ngl this reminded me of pearl in double life. which is poetically ironic because pearl ended up being his final opponent in the end
I love how despite Scar and Grian being on opposite teams theirs still going to be desert duo animatics for only one reason: Grians final stand against Gem, Scott and Impulse left the strongest team on the server weak enough for scar to pick off one by one. They don't even have to interact for the fanart to happen
Grian managed to take off 89 hearts from those three whilst taking only 13 himself, in his last stand- without him Scar couldn't have done it, however Scar is amazing anyway
Scar not realizing he won and then letting himself get down to half a heart is such a Scar thing to do
The secret keeper wanting Scar to be the villain became full circle
true
He's named after a Disney villain after all, it was meant to be
@@StuffandThings_actually he’s named after agent Michael scarn, but he didn’t double check the name before he made it his Xbox gamer tag
But yeah Disney scar works too!!!!!😂
Honestly I was so in shock to find out he didn’t name himself after a Disney character, given how much he loves Disney movies
Just to remind us it’s a death game for a reason. :)
Scar getting Etho all three times is perfection
especially if you recall in limited life when etho was joining the washed up jokes about pvp and jokingly said in the 3rd person that "even scar could beat me" followed by everyone around him being like "naaah i wouldnt go that far"
To be fair, most of the pvp in the life series has been shootouts, and in that, Scar’s often pretty cracked at it.
HotGuy also wasn’t much of a thing back then either, and so Scar is a threat with a bow just as Gem is with a sword.
Yea agree and limited life too
etho is weak to scar bc he has a scar on his face pokemon logic in its best >;D
@@RePorpoised most of the times yes, but it seems when the situation is dire, she just panics and forgets how to fight. Grian totally smacked her, having lower health, no golden apple, and being 1v3... Then when Scar engaged her, she got smacked again and had to ender pearl. So I guess even though she's amazing at sword combat, she just panics when there's something in risk.
1:33 "lets fix our bow here"

I like how Scar could’ve killed Pearl for the hearts, but he decided to let her live and won honestly. Even though he was embracing being the villain, this episode felt like a redemption arc. In the word of B-Dubs “Sounding like the server Angel”.

Scar not realizing he won is the most scar thing ever
So funny to see that. It's like, Pearl, falls, Lightning, Scar sees a Zombie. Scar doesn't process Pearl's dead.
That’s what I’m saying
thats why scar is the goat
"I'm coming pearl where are you?" genuinely sounded sad, then "How did the guy with no friends win?", He didn't want to win that way, he didn't want to be the villain, the world just forced him to.
Agreed
Scar going down in history as the first winner of a Life Series to not end his series by dying.
Idk if you know but having thorns on your armor was great because people hit you once and then decided not to keep shooting
Thorn was good against range attack and mobs, but it does a horrible job against melee. The reason being is that every times someone hit you, they deal small damage but they will get a very small invinsible frame during that time, and if u try to hit them while they are in that frame, you won't deal any damage to them. Hence why many PvP pro out there only put Thorn on their armor if it was a bow fight, but most of the times they rather put something else like protection
You know for someone that has a reputation for dying Scar is surprisingly good at the life series
he dies early so he gives others a chance :))))
He’s gotten consistently better every season.
I've always said. Scars main weakness is his kindness and loyalty to others. But with this series he had no alliance. No friends. No family. He was the villan from the start. He'll be a villain to the end.
Scar dies easily when it doesn't matter (such as Hermitcraft) because it's good for laughs. If you pay close attention to him, he's very good at staying alive. (He really flexed in that short series with Grain about 1 life only where he built over a cliff.)
Scar is actually really good at the game and part of his advantage is that ppl underestimate him. At the end of the video here he let the zombie get him down to 1/2 a heart on purpose, like, for the bit.
You know Scar is a great trader when he ultimately traded all his friends for a victory royale.

A HUGE congratulations to you Scar! That was absolutely awesome. You deserved that win!

best line of the series. "so be it, that's how it goes. Your good at the game, be proud of yourself" . He could have easily garentied the win for himself with the 10 extra hearts.
It's hilarious that, after all the difficulty Scar had making friends all season, everyone suddenly trusted him in the last episode when it was the worst time to do so
scar "were good neighbours, pearl" NO U FREAKING WASNT so coming upto people and acting like youve been with them the whole season does work... interesting
I know it’s a running joke that Scar takes damage and dies a lot, but after this season, killing Etho 3 times, killing Cleo, Gem, and Pearl, I think Scar is very good at Minecraft.
He has these weird moments with absolutely zero awareness, like not noticing pearls lightning two feet in front of him, or sprinting around hermitcraft on one heart and not eating, but the other %99 of the time he’s genuinely really good at the game

Scar is officially an MLG pro. That fight with gem and pearl back to back was actually a very good presentation of PVP! Scar's clicks were so on point! He utilized environment well, pulled all the tricks woth spawn eggs and tnt, water bucketed the lava quickly, and kept the pressure up with a lethal assault of arrows and sword hits! I'm so impressed by how awesome scar has gotten at minecraft!
agreed, we joke about how clueless he is at things that aren't building, but he's really becoming such a skilled player. it's so beautiful to watch him grow and learn.
Why is it that whenever someone has a villain arc in this series they end up being the winner?
Not in 3rd and last life
Scar's pov this entire series feels so... befitting. Scar, the villain, with the same name as the Disney villain, Scar. The final kill this session as a redname? Essentially Scar "throwing" Pearl to her death off the cliff using a bow with not a sense of remorse, just like Scar to Mufasa... Long live the king...
WOW
This is amazing honestly, it never occurred to me
Scar getting like half the kills this episode was incredible
Yeah, I think he ended with the most kills, followed by Gem.
It was really fun seeing the mounders accept scar at the end and trust him, and then for him to throw away his "play all the sides" strategy and not kill Pearl when she asked him to. What a fun series, cannot wait for the next one!
scar finding bigb’s backrooms was so funny

Scar is such a character man. A person who kept unintentionally being the villain ended up being doing so well purely because of him not having any alliances

To be fair, Bdubs made that trap and it was HIS bedroom. I’m not sure he even considered it would hit someone after they respawned
@@DaTimmeh Yeah like the other comment said, Bdubs didn’t expect Grian to get hit by the trap immediately after dying. Maybe in season 6, they’ll ban spawn trapping.

Bdub's trap wasn't unavoidable either, so it was fair play imo
Was Scar ever really the villain? I feel like a lot of his moves were just circumstance, starting with Lizzie's cows. He's so likable you can't help but root for him. CONGRATS SCAR!!!!!

bro, that ending of not even realising that pearl was dead and then almost breaking down, not even defending himself from the zombie that was attacking him, the animators are gonna have a field day with that one
its such a scar moment
The ending where Scar is looking around for Pearl feels like Scar's gone into denial and he refuses to believe he killed Pearl. After that, laughing about the fact that the guy with no friends won, sounds like some actual villain winning after a traumatizing past of diving deeper into insanity driven by the secret keeper and his loneliness despite his best efforts. To be honest, I think he was not planning. He just played to the best of his abilities...
It was his stask so...
1:04 Hmm…
Do I smell watcher Grian lore?
We thought the Secret Keeper was antagonizing Scar, but they were really just ensuring his path to victory. At the end of the day, alliances are a liability.... Loved the lone villain arc.
if you know what Watcher lore is, then this is HUGE.
@@imMittensKitten Oh ofc!!!
@@imMittensKittenthe line Grian said at the end is just screaming DesertDuo watcher lore but I just can’t figure it out yet
Etho being killed due to the ended pearls he gifted is hilarious😂
Been wanting Scar to win this series ever since the villain tasks started rolling in. This has been so entertaining, and I cannot wait to see how the community celebrates Scar finally winning.
Gem and Pearl, the two 'leaders' of each their own factions got oh so far with sacrificial fodder in the guys which explains why they were there in the end with Scar.
Grian, Cleo and Etho tried to repeat a previous strategy of going up the central cobble tower but the issues were many; the first interaction they had with the mounders was hostile and they already weren't on a good footing with Gem and the Scotts; the whole strategy reeks of 'distrust for others' and 'cowardice wanting to wait to see the others pick each other off'; and finally, when Grian hid there from the boogeyman horde they couldn't spot him, hadn't thought of it and couldn't see any changes to the tower were he was hiding - this time everyone saw and understood exactly what they were doing and as such ganged up on them.
The Heart Foundation guys and Martyn stood no chance of being there in the end and were picked off by each faction throughout the session.
Scar, who had been unallied the whole season and had made enemies last session due to the task he was given, had paradoxically enough, all that to his advantage. Being unallied meant that everyone was still somewhat on speaking terms with him; he wasn't perceived to be as much of a threat that the others needed to do away with; yet he had still proven himself a formidable fighter in the previous session such that he wasn't someone easily taken out either. This meant that everyone kind of left him to his own devices until it was only Pearl, Gem and each of their two goons left and he had to pick a side where, because he was unallied, he got to choose to side with the stronger party.
Between Scar and Pearl, Scar had the most to prove since the typical view of him is that he is a clumsy and weak player meanwhile Pearl had already won Last Life so it stands to reason that this contributed to why Scar went so hard on killing her as soon as Gem was down and why she retaliated with less determination to win herself.
Great fighting from all of them, and especially from Scar! A worthy winner in my eyes!
its crazy how 6 out of the 13 last kills were done by scar where he could've also gotten 2 more , of bigB and skizz.
also funny how scar took all 3 of ethos life
Was that the most final kills out of any person in the life series?
Scar really had it in for Etho this season 😂
@@Sohcahtoa14 yeah by a long shot
i think grian joel got 1, gem got 2 , scott got 3.
lizze died to enderman , jimmy and mumbo died to warden.
After 5 seasons, after giving Grian your life in season 1, after the heartache you endured through seasons 2-4, finally you have won. We are those who watch, we are those who listen.
It hasn't been 5 minutes since upload how are sure he's gonna win? Just watch the video slowly
Man spoiler
@@Tojo_Borsalino i took a random guess lol im still watching
This is poetic.
@@aidanvenki8834 do you watch grian?
Is this foreshadowing?
Scar gave Pearl the name, sunflower.. He named his town (?) Sunflower Valley.. He put sunflowers on his skin. And then the finale fight was between them.
Another thing.. Pearl was alone and Scar had friends during Double life.. but now they are in reversed positions! An excellent story between those two.
Is that foreshadowing?? Or am i just pointing random things out?
As someone else pointed out, In limited life, they saying that Etho was washed out and that even Scar could beat him.. Guess that came true, three times..
There is so many things you could do with Scar just in the life series. You could also do a lot with a select others.
Thank you if you have read it all!
You have gained a new Watcher this year!
To many more..
GG Scar!! From the reluctant villain arc to making a tentative alliance out of everyone and then having Pearl offer a sacrifice in the end only to reject it and acknowledge her skills, this has been one heck of a series. And that was such a perfect end to it
In session 2 Scar had to be Pearl's hype man, he carried this task to the end
he was pearls hype man from the beginning to the end, full circle
Seeing scar just spleef Tango like that and Tango actually dying really shocked me
Same, stakes were high but everyone was still alive. No deaths had happened since Session 6. So for Scar to break a single block and cause the first death of this episode, it was really jarring.
T was at 1 heart
@knulllord654 yeah but still. Just the suspense of it happening set him up as just a villain. If he can do that one one block and barely any fall damage, imagine what he's capable of
@@Nerdboss3000 I know I was just telling the op since he said that he was shocked. Also T betrayed him first.
@@knulllord654 true true
How’d the guy with no friends win is such a sad line considering how both remaining parties wanted him and pearl was willing to sacrifice herself for scar. What a spectacular end and congrats to everyone who participated for making this the most exciting life series so far. I cannot wait to see what everyone cooks up next time
Scar not realising his won was so funny and such a Scar thing to do. GG Scar
For someone that has a reputation for dying and taking damage, I think Scar actually had the best PvP and gamesense of this series: look at the PvP fights and Scar is acting like a sweat - enderpearling, using his shield, and even crit-chaining. When did Scar start training? It isn't even just in this last video either - I have noticed it throughout the series. He even trolled a bit by pretending to not see the zombie that was munching on him at the end - and literally timed it to half a heart, which is something only sweats can do.
its the MCC training he did, i bet
probably mcc ngl
he has very average PvP he plays it a lot and those are very common things listed
@@nectarkenni Yes but also it is scar we are talking about
Scar abusing the hell out of the fact no one know's what teams there are this season is so funny.
Edit, VILLIAN WIN LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I can just imagine Scar accidentally re-rolling for a harder task just to brag.
"Martyns on his way up with an invis pot" (Scott)
"Oh is he climbing the ladder?" (Impulse)
*Lighting strikes
"Martyn DIED!" X2 (all)
"Oh No that didn't work 😕" (Impulse)
"No that didn't work" (Scott)
Idk why I found this funny but I did
scar was the last person i thought would win but im all for it, he totally earned it
Actually Jimmy is the last person I'd expect to win the series

When Scar finished episode 5 with 30 hearts as a green life & tons of enchanted gear, I knew he had a very good shot at taking it all.
From an outside perspective, Scar comes off as extremely clumsy and even a bit careless, but that's what he WANTS you to think. Nobody took him seriously... until it was too late.
Grian is the morning desert sun that rises, Scar is the evening desert sun that sets. At noon they meet, their fates intertwined... neither can win until their destined hour.
bro its a minecraft video
The poetry *chef’s kiss
So true
@@icebits8478It's beautiful. 🥺
GRIAN TRANSLATES TO SUN, LITTERALLY!
"A little Canadian bacon in the lava" lol! That will always be what I call Gem now!!
I thought that was hilarious too!
Scar: thinks the tower is cheap
Also Scar: Joins the already formed super alience to save himself
There's a couple of really interesting connections to previous series in this ending, with how Scar refused to kill Pearl for an easy victory (like how Grian refused to kill Scar in Third Life), and how Scar was a loner for Secret Life through things he didn't have much control over (like how Pearl was a loner in Double Life thanks to Scott and playing at 5am).
Both Grian and Pearl won their series, and congratulations to Scar for winning Secret Life!
5AM Pearl and now Villian Scar
Does Scar immediately turning on Pearl in the last duel count with Martyn turning on Scott-Smajor and Scott-Impulse in Limited Life?
Or no?
@@Morgan_Rider No because pearl didn't clarify that a brief ceasefire will ensue or at least the message was lost in the heat of the moment.
Plus both were armed properly, not disrobed and disarmed like in limited life
@@verbfrombonsai8852 Alright, that's fair

Gem calling them out for 2v1-ing her, when she was quite happy to 3v1 Grian ...shame! lol

i watch this for good times.. with scar.
Even watching from Grian's perspective and rooting for him, I am ecstatic that Scar finally has achieved the the honorable win he deserves, this was an amazing series
Everyone always jokes about scar, yet he is always one of the last or last team thats alive in all series
Same. I watched Gem and rooted for her, but I am so glad that Scar won!!
Just rewatched this episode and without some of the tension I was able to pay more attention to Scar's craftsmanship. I love the touches with music and the way he adds the sad, empty wind sound whenever someone dies. Always a fantastic editor who really knows how to tell a story!
