The Gifts of Christmas: Frankincense, Jesus is the Priest We Need - Matthew 2:1-11

The second gift Matthew mentions given to Jesus by the wisemen is frankincense. Commonly used in anointing oils used by priests, this gift reminds us of Jesus' priestly role as humanity's representative before God and God's representative before humanity. Jesus is not just our great high priest, but he's the great high priest we needed.
