- I HAD to do it! A blend of various TdV and TW clips to the song from Pandora's Box's "Original Sin" which was the fisrt version of both "Gott ist tot" and "Die Einladung zum Ball." It was intended to show Krolock's and Sarah's struggle for more, both blood and life itself. The song really suits vampires in general... Hail to the greatness of Jim Steinman!
Disclaimer: I DO NOT own the music, the pictures, the clips, the characters or anything used in this video. It all goes to Jim Steinman, Michael Kunze and Roman Polański. I just borrowed their genius for a while.
Pandoras box CD is one of my all time favourites. Heaps of singers have taken songs from that album. From meatloaf to Celine Dion. The original is still the best.
God bless you for posting this honestly. I've been listening to this video since high school. I'm 25 now and still listening.
RIP, Jim, and thank you.
RIP Jim!
I would love to see this show! I am a huge fan of this song. Great job! 5 stars all nite long!
You can buy Pandoras Box on Amazon - Get Bad for Good Album by Jim Steinman at the same time!
this should be brought to the west end i think it would be fantastic to see it on the stage where it belongs
Would someone explain to me why Steinman or Meatloaf are not in a hall of fame.
Awesome combination of sight and sound.
Well done and thanks for posting.
I HAVE to see this musical, dude. It looks like a more awesome version of Phantom.
And Lloyd Webber got NOTHIN' on Steinman!
Much better than 'The Shadow' version!
Wer hat dieses tolle musical so verunstaltet? Es ist nicht wieder zu erkennen
that is brilliant!
That's so good! Very good video and this song is great!
I still like this song....
Świetne wideo, jak zwykle zresztą ;) Masz talent!Ja chcę więcej takich wideo,więcej, więcej ;)
I'm glad you had to do this. Most excellent!
Nice, but the version with Steve Barton is better. Beside Pandora's Box, there is also a version by Taylor Dayne for the early 90's movie "The Shadow" starring Alec Baldwin.
As said before, the Viennese original version of "Tanz der Vampire" with Steve Barton is the best.
Brian Lumley make Dracula and Ann Rice seem like Vampire light.
Yes! I love his Necroscope series!
Nice stuff, thanks!
WOW SO COOL
All the time I've been looking for an original sin... I mean, for this song. Couldn't find it anywhere until now, so thank you so very much for uploading. I still prefer the Meat Loaf version, but the original is really great, too. Love it! =))
I love the clips from TANZ, makes me completely forget the abortion that ended up on Broadway. And in this world, I've learned you can no longer be a Jim AND a MeatLoaf fan, you cannot straddle the fence.
Oooohhhhhhhh
i get survivor vibes when the rock music starts...its the Eye of the Vampire
Gott ist tot, nach ihm wird nicht mehr gesucht...
Wir sind zum ewigem Leben verflucht *sing*
lol thanks anyz
Ha! Never thought of it that way. Nice!
Ha this version i've never heard. THx!!
and for the clip i think it's from 2005 Hamburg Verison. Thomas Bochert and Jessica Kessler
probably helps a dork who doesn't realise that you can get just about anything on ebay or amazon nowadays LOL
That's basically what vampires are, at core, only more supernatural. I just can't stomach all this romantic characterization.
Is the song we hear in this Video from pandoras box or from Taylor Dayn ?
Original Sin from the album Original Sin by the artist Pandora's Box (though the introductory words are not the same track)... I doubt you can download them because Apple, among most other downloaders, are gay.
I'm sure you can find the album somewhere, amazon maybe?
this track is on the pandoras box album from the early 90's. i own the limited edition double abum with the erotic double inside cover...i also have the cd album and all the promo 12" records that were released...tanz is also on torrents for download as a 2 cd edition...
Taylor Dayne's version is phenomenal.
Pretty much. This show does end with the horde taking over the world, so...
This show actually has a truly abhorrent HORDE of decaying, vicious vampires in the ensemble. They're practically zombies.
I like this version as much as meat loafs, I think they are both great.
Does anyone know where i can het the english C.D of Tanz Der Vampire? I have the german version but, since i dont speak german, its not the same.
English version is really bad. You're better not seeing it XP
One of my fav albums of the Steinman-Area.
Anyone posted "good girls...." ?
Man, why doesn't anybody make really abhorrent vampires anymore, like in the folklore?
ah yes , i've seen Steve Barton :)
but i don't know much about polish version
Can anybody tell me where I can download THIS version of the song? I've been given links but I can't find this version. It's really annoying me. Any help?
No offense on this version of von Krolok, but "our" german von Krolok has a much better voice.
See, that's still abhorrent. That's cool.
sorry
Pff.. There's vampire stories from alto of different origins and they're different from place to place. Some are charming and manipulative while others are basicly zombies, Don't play so fucking clever by thinking you're right because you named one of the vampire types. YES vampires CAN be portrayed as romantic (even though I think it's silly considering they're dead, why should they want things like sex? Can they even get it up?)
They have blood, blood of their victims. And only think, you'll live forever, and spend you eternal life but without sex, is a s***! I'll prefer walking toward the sun and make me ashes in this moment LOL
