It is a shame that I have only begun to search for more of Steinman/Meat Loaf collaborations. Intense talent gone too soon. Thank you for this, well done.
Have listened to Pandora's box album that was created and composed by Jim Steinman? That is where this song is from, and it was also the theme song for the movie The Shadow.
This was fabulous! I don’t have your technical skills but for years I have been editing and combining different sections of Steinman songs in my head. I always thought the final stanzas of I’ll Kill You If You Don’t Come Back would work great with the ending of Objects In The Rearview Mirror. It just feels like the frustrated cry of rage in “Somebody bless all these girls in everything that they do, but damn me and curse me for still loving you!” would resolved really well with a soft pause, and then an almost whistful “I’ll never know when she disappeared, but I can see her rising up out of the back seat now….just like an angel rising up from a tomb”. You did a fantastic job with this
best thanks for your comment! yes, it is mesmerizing how jim's song are compatible in so many ways. i like the idea of a transition from IKYIYDCB to objects.
Meatloaf was supposed to have sung and recorded Total Eclipse but Bonnie persisted and Jim relented, Bonnie did awesome but would still like to have heard Meatloaf version, also song has vampire undertones as intended JS can research it.
Actually Total Eclipse was written specifically for Bonnie. She pursued him and during that time Meat and Jim were not working together. Now this bad been part of Jim's original Nesfartu play he wanted to do years before so Meat was aware of the song but he blamed the record studio heads for him missing out on this song and another song that was main stream with Bonnie's hit.
I think a lot of songs on Bat III belonged there... part of it was Meat's voice being shot. Bad for Good could have been handled a lot better even with the red special (thank you brian may)
The album Bat Out Of Hell III really exists, but not all of its songs are written by Jim Steinman, and it has completely different cover. (*Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose).
exactly, many fans such as myself did not really like what producer desmond child made out of the album. some songs were quite decent, but it was clearly not a real "bat out of hell"-feeling. that's why i created a steinman-only-version. it features some of the songs from bat III, 2006.
i've already uploaded all remixes i made. i've cruised through the whole oeuvre of meat and merged whatever felt appropriate. it was a very intense process that captivated me for a couple of weeks. glad you enjoy it!
@@blooperhero890 haha, sorry 4 being brief. thought you were relating to the video description: "The artwork by Michael Whelan actually was a discarded draft for the album cover of Bat Out Of Hell 2. I have colorized it using Artificial Intelligence."
One of the coolest things I've heard in a while
I'm definitely gonna listen to this whole thing
happy to share the tracks i've initially created just for myself with others!
Yes, I enjoyed that.
so jim steinman
Meatloaf and Jim Steinmen or best in song 🎵
R.I.P. jim & meat
This really goes to show how awesome that rock opera version of Nosferatu, Jim Steinman wanted to make would have been. ✌️
yeah, his music always seems like a piece of something bigger yet to explore
The fact we don’t have this or a GOOD English dance of the vampires is a shame.

Jim steinman was a musical genius
When I read the title I immediately thought of “Gott ist tot” from Tanz der Vampire
But this is a cool personal twist you gave it 👌🏻

C'est Rory Dodd la voix duo et de chœur sur Total éclipse of the heart ! Le chœur suppléant est Eric Troyer !
de nombreux talents sont réunis ici!
Have you watched the German musical "Tanz der Vampire"? It's all Steinman music.
i did for sure! back then when i was a teenager it was one of my favourite musicals.
Thank you for this, it sounds great!

maybe someday we will hear a meat loaf version with the help of aritifical intelligence :)
I thought meat turned it down , cause he was in his depressed years so Jim offered it To Bonnie

A rock Nosferatu would have been incredible. Such talents meshed together.
=)
It's getting hard to find the c.d.'s in any stores now cause everything is now uploaded online and that sucks lol
