Four musicians from four different countries with four entirely different biographies, yet all stemming from the world of Rock, now united in one band: EXIT EDEN!
The all-female four piece band unites all attributes ascribed to the new millennium: cosmopolitan, self-confident, independent and ready to do their very own thing. Despite their diversity, the four singers Amanda Somerville, Clémentine Delauney, Marina La Torraca and Anna Brunner blend together personally as superbly as they do vocally with their very diverse vocal tones and techniques that go from opera style to raspy rock. This constellation created extraordinary and powerful ideas and it became their unique plan to raise EXIT EDEN’s very own edge: to show the world that almost every classic song can be transformed into a solid metal-rock song.

Brilliant cover!!! If anybody’s wondering, Bonnie Tyler didn’t actually write the song, she just sang the hell out of it. It was written by Jim Steinman. He’s the guy who wrote all of Meatloafs stuff. Very talented dude

I have no idea who any of those women are, but I have fallen in love with each and every one of them. That was so badass! Love this version and will probably listen a dozen more times.
If you're interested in more, I discovered this band through Amanda Somerville, who's singing lead most parts of this cover. I knew of her from her work with Avantasia and Epica. Just those two bands are a delightful rabbit hole to go down in the opera/symphonic metal world and I highly recommend them. It always made me kind of sad that Exit Eden didn't do more than one album, because they were an amazing quartet.

I have lost count of the times I've watched and listened to this version. I grew up in the 80's and I am absolutely blown away by this version. I usually don't like remakes of anything from the 80's but this really won me over. I'm a masculine male who really enjoys metal, rock, symphony, classical and opera and stunning seductora women and this video checks all the boxes for me

As "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is based around a vampire love story, I feel this cover is perfect for the genre the song was written for. Even though the play the song was written for was an absolute failure.
What play are you on about? This track was written by Jim Steinman and was on the Faster Than The Speed of Night Album by Bonnie Tyler, no play involved.
@@nicholaslawlor8623 from Steinman's interview in Playbill 18 Sept 2002 "with 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', I was trying to come up with a love song and I remembered I actually wrote that to be a vampire love song. Its original title was 'Vampires in Love' because I was working on a musical of Nosferatu, the other great vampire story. If anyone listens to the lyrics, they're really like vampire lines. It's all about the darkness, the power of darkness and love's place in the dark..."
I agree. I also think it's interesting that Steinman went from Nosferatu to working on the German "Tanz der Vampire," a stage adaptation of Roman Polanski's "Fearless Vampire Killers," where they actually used the song. The American version of the play was an absolute failure, and I'm sure one can find bits of it on RUclips. "Tanz der Vampire" is pretty popular and I believe is still performed now and then in Germany and Austria. Tanz just did not translate well to American audiences, especially once the story changed and Michael Crawford wanted to play up the comedy of it. I rather like it though, and the use of this song, as "Totale Finsternis," is pretty great!

Germany as one of the birthplaces of goth culture has much closer relation to this theme and their production with sexy vampires in latex and torn baroque robes is brilliant. It used same or similar production in hungary, czech republic and other countries and it was and still is very popular there. And Steinman songs like this one or Tonight is what is meant to be young used in finale are timeless classics. Btw. Steinman was working on other musicals too, on RUclips can be found songs from Pandora's Box and Batman
The first time I heard this song was summer of 93. Kennywood picnic day. My baby brother fell incredibly Ill at the time due to food poisoning and my mom and aunt took my brother and sister to the amusement park and this played over the speakers at the music go round. I thought Bonnie's voice was absolutely beautiful and still do. Brought me to tears. Great cover man. Got a sub.

They must have been like "we only got this place for the day" and decided to knock out all their videos
or it could be that the storyline of the album dictated that the songs were a story continuing from one song to the next, therefore they only needed the one location as the whole album was a look into a day/night/week of the lives of the characters the bands are portraying in the songs.
or they had a limited budget and could only get the place for a single day :D
