After hundreds of miles, my original AOVO Pro battery was not showing a full charge and was down to around four miles range.
I bought the battery from eBay at £110 from a seller called Campus Parts.
This video explains how to change the battery - a simple task but the battery compartment can look extremely daunting.

Good morning Scott your so right about the aovo es80 regarding hill climbing I did own the aovo es max which was much better especially with the 500watt motor in the rear wheel better hill climbing ability
I replaced my battery with a 42V one instead and it hits about 24MPH. 42V batteries peak at like 52.6 volts too so it's nice :) kept same speed controller

I went with the existing battery - did you have to change connectors for the battery you bought.

I fit a 54.6v external battery,
did 26mph, I lost control and crashed into a stationary police car 🤣 broke my arm
and left my hip on the road 😰

and the battery runs out very quickly
and the battery charges from 0 to 100% in 2h30min
the charger is 54V 2A
my scooter with a 48v 500w motor
and the battery 48V 8.8Ah 422.4Wh
and the controller 48v/38v 350WB
i want to ask you first what should I change?

This is the original model. I have covered hundreds of miles on this battery.

@@humbleorganics1261 you can turn it on and off with a long press or on the app.
How long did the original last? Was it degradated or just fully dead.
I left it on charge over winter. My mistake. So 12 months.

Do you know how to tweak the speed in the Aovo pro?
It’s not an option anymore. 19mph is quick enough on those solid wheels I find.
Could you upgrade the range and swap in a battery with 13Ah or 15.6 Ah?
There is an aovo pro owners group UK an I believe others have done this.
Is a drastic decrease of battery life normal after 3 years of moderate use?
I left it on charge all winter unused. Don’t do that.
@@ScottJonesMTBshouldn't the changer detect a full charge and then stop charging the battery? Perhaps your battery was already damaged... anyway in case it helps you can contact the AOVO assistance by using the chat on their website and if you can provide your original e-scooter order number they could offer to ship a new battery half the price listed on their website...
Is there anyway to get the screws out if they heads have been scraped so no where to put the screw driver in 🤦🏼♀️
If it’s the base, you can get pliers or grips on them as they are slightly raised.

Another helpful tip (always happems to me): if you have a dremel with a cutting disc cut a slot in the screw then unscrew with a flat head screwdriver@@sarahtaylor8715
You can use a cheap dremel to cut a slot. Then a flat head screwdriver
I have a aovo es80 its got claimed 20 degree incline but its more like 10 to 15 max if the firmware worked it could go a bit faster and would be better for hill climbing
Change it to km on the app. It goes wayyy faster in km
Mine goes 31km. Fast af for a scooter, JS.

I hope you can help me i have just bought this scooter directly from them and im having issues getting inContact with them as ive been set infomation about tracking and such yesterday morning but the Distibution centre still hasn't given it to DHL 2 days on from my order

Hey where can you buy the spacers for the battery, my scooters battery is loose
Not seen any. My advice would be to snap one or two of your current ones in half to create more spacers. It works.

I have just took the cover of my scooter and it’s all been hot glued down.. how am I meant to sort this out
Black glue? If so, take a hair drier to it.
