Glad I have ordered mine. Go try it, it's a stunningly beautiful car and it drives really well. It's comfy and stylish. As premium as Mercedes, BMW or Audi. I am German and been driving BMWs all my life (I am 52 year old) but now, I find German cars overly expensive. French cars deliver quality for a reasonable price. Many people in Germany feel that way about German cars. They are overly costly, it's no longer justified. I am not the kind of person who wants to pay 10.000 or 15.000 euros more just to get a German badge. I find such attitude dumb. Come to Germany, you'll see French cars everywhere. For a reason.
Just ordered one (performance line plus ) review is spot on en every respect ... I have been in Audis for years and just fancied something different with the same perceived quality. Delivery Oct/Nov hopefully ...cant wait !
I'm thinking of seriously getting one for my wife. DS 7 And DS 4 in the garage, that would be nice. Really everyone in the family ardors DS, kids are even cuddling it , lol I hope You will love it and enjoy. Pretty much no stress with mine.
@@andrewfinkelsteintennis1915 Yeah the 8.9% APR on the PCP is a bit strong but after a small discount it fell just within our price range and we were able to add a few options. Still niggles that the finance could have been cheaper but the car ticks all the right boxes for us and was still affordable.
From the new astra to the ds4 , to the new gen of citroens, stellantis are smashing it. I even like the new 308, which I know you have reservations about!
Had mine for a few weeks and love it so far - is very comfortable and easy to drive. Had quite a few people looking in when we’ve parked it up in car parks as well 😂
Fantastic review of the new DS4, I have ordered one and am just waiting on delivery, love the humour in the clip, thanks again. I have got fed up waiting for CarWow to do one, so really have enjoyed this. I have ordered the DS4 petrol, Rivoli. have subscribed to your channel, Thanks again.
You know I think I might just go and have a look at one of these...knew of it but hadn't paid too much attention however said attention is now piqued. On a more general note, could be an interesting market placement for Stellantis given rumours about the german marques pulling their lower end model ranges such as A-class, 1 series and A3 to concentrate on more "premium" larger cars. Going to be interesting to see how car market evolves/ is reshaped over next few years esp with economic pressures.
Great review. I was very close to ordering one. Watched practically every review of this car on RUclips. Really looked forward to the test drive. That’s when I was disappointed. I felt underwhelmed. The touchpad screen in my opinion is useless. It’s a gimmick. This car’s advantage is that it is ‘different’.
The rear end looks really sorted as is the rest of it, Japanese rear ends look weird especially Honda, glad to see the new Honda Civic is not quite so ugly. Great review as usual. 👍
DS Automobiles is a standalone brand since 2015.... 7 years... it's not Citroen. Same way that Lexus is operated by Toyota, but they are not Toyotas, or Infiniti operated by Nissan, but Infiniti cars are not Nissans.
@@klausschelling8159 I know, it just feels like the same spirit as Citroen, this feels more like a replacement for the first and second generation C4 then the current C4 does
@@oliverstemp9132 Well, that's how you feel about the car. I just disagree with you. DS Automobiles and Citroen haven't the same spirit, the same goals, the same philosophy. Absolutely not. A great looking car, and your review is on point. I’d love to trade the Audi in for one, but haunted by the reliability and depreciation issues. So, maybe I’m not brave enough!
You need to stop with the "reliability" myth. It's a fantasy. French cars are as good as German ones. The French have levelled up big time. This is no longer the 90's. French cars do excellent in safety tests in all Europe.
Agree...This German cars are the msmost reliable by far myth is no longer viable in 2020+. I have had 3 French cars (new and used Renaults) during the last 15 years. Never had a major issue.
If you want a family hatchback for the drive through after a knackering day at work etc etc then Ford or Vauxhall or Citroen will do fine....if you want something special that looks better than the German equivalents and that will have a solid build quality (see latest Peugeot range - my 2008 is excellent and other owners surveyed agree) then this is it.

The gulf between reality and the advertising industry is getting wider - witness the perfectly open roads most cars are advertised on. I suspect all highly stylish cars would be a pain in the a*** to own in the real world. That said, this is a very pretty posh Citroen though. You're doin' great.

Don’t get on with the design of this at all - gives me a headache looking at it. Can you actually see anything out of the rear window? Maybe motorists should start a “We want buttons” campaign, similar to the “We want plates” one that rails against being served food on slates and boards and so on. It won’t look very avant-garde when driving through slushy brown snow to the office. Interesting to some, but I think only pretentious people will buy them.
And only dull people write such a comment. I own DS7, and it's three times of a car than much more pricier Q5 or X3. Better ride quality, better equipment and reliable. You base your comment on something you don't have a clue about. Pretentious people buy a crap car, for loads of money, just to have a badge others know.
