The GICON® Biogas Process - High Solids Anaerobic Digestion

On 12 September 2013, the grand opening of a biogas plant utilizing the GICON® Process took place in Richmond (near Vancouver), British Columbia, Canada. The firm Harvest Power had previously obtained the license rights for this process in North America.
The Energy Garden processes residential and commercial source-separated organic waste. The plant is not only the largest high-solids anaerobic digestion (HSAD) plant in all of North America, but it is also the first HSAD plant in North America to process residential and commercial organic wastes and the first complete large-scale application of the GICON® Process for organic wastes. GICON® provided complete plant design, construction supervision, and commissioning supervision.
