While it *should* be and *is* enough, this is only considering the fact that it comes with FG. Without FG, it would fail to run most of the unoptimized garbage that developers are churning out at even Medium preset settings in 1080p.
@@flowerybloom It is not only because of poorly optimized games. The card itself is pretty weak, just 10-15% faster than 3060. Plus, it comes with only 8GB of VRAM. Which means even FG can not save it, since FG increases VRAM usage. 8GB these days is barely enough to play games at 1080p/High. With enabled FG 4060 owners have to reduce texture quality down to Medium or sometimes even Low. Nowadays 10-11GB is the optimal size of VRAM buffer for 1080p res (12GB for 1440p and 16GB for 4K).
@starstreamgamer3704 with texture quality you can put at high, high graphics or very high is fine just not extreme max settings. Horzion forbidden west can run at very high base game but when it comes to the dlc it has to be put on high textures. There is no game I had to put on medium except for monster hunter wilds beta which was the most unoptimized beta ever
Just keep textures in medium in all games... That eats more VRAM.....I am playing all games @ 1440p max settings (except textures medium) , DLSS Q and gets 60+ fps in all games and if FG ON 90+ fps and no input lag too...with my RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB..
I'm building my first pc with a rtx 4060 ti 16gb, for someone who used to game and work with a intel hd graphics laptop, this bad boy will serve me well for 5 years at least
i have ryzen 5 5600g build i bought it a year ago right now i want to buy a gpu what d you think i should go with last gen 4060 or almsot 4 years rx6700xt keep in mind i have a 1440p monitor
with proper tweaking it can go easily above 100frames on most games even runs fine with a badly optimized game like mh wilds beta im getting around 70fps thanks to dlss3 frame gen on high settings
My RTX 3060Ti still rocks even at 1440p res unless I'm play Ark Ascended. Games that support FSR3.0 FG run at 70fps and go all the way up to 100 and above with FG on and high settings. Some games I can run at 4k with DLSS performance and it's pretty good too.
Hi geralt :) can I ask you something I'm playing ghost of tsushima and I noticed one particular thing. I have the 4060 and ryzen 5 5600g 32 gb ram. Well, I play it in 1080p all on high with fsr 3 and frame generation in some parts when there are battles it happens that the gpu usage from 99% drops to 93-92-89 reaching 86 but the cpu usage always It stays below it, it's not a bottleneck. I have good fps. Does that mean I can add more things to the settings? Always thanks
in horizon forbidden west even high textures are too much for 8gb cards in 1080p, after playing for a while ( like 40 min+) you will notice this cuz performance will suffer heavy during cutscenes and performance will tank at like 30-40 fps staying like this. Fast travelling to cities = same problem, in burning shores its even worse. Idk is it memory leak or 8gb is not enough but on my 4060 I had to lower textures to medium to comfortably play this game, it was looking really bad. And they put 3070 as 1440p high gpu xD
esses testes foram feitos sem DLSS + FG? se for, essa placa tem bastante margem ainda, se ligar essas tecnologias ela voa! o problema é sempre o valor. ótimo video geralt ❤️
All the tests made on native resolution, without FG and DLSS but I find FG quite interesting at 1080p as well, Native + FG works quite fine, I would only use DLSS at 1440p and 4K
@@GeraltBenchmarksI always see this opinion but I would encourage everyone to try dlss at 1080p for themselves I see it perfectly acceptably, I'd rather the image be less clean than dropping frames below vrr range

I have 4060 ti 8GB.. it runs all games 60+ fps at max settings (except texture medium) @ 1440p, DLSS Q and VRAM never goes past 7.2 GB in most of games. And with FG it runs above 90 Fps. Just make sure Texture setting is kept Medium..as Texture eats more VRAM...
"Still enough" for a GPU that came out 1/2 Years ago is CRAZY
Just a title for engagement, the GPU is more than enough.

Thank you for actually being a good gamer...some of these benchmark channels are rough to watch 😂
Lol 🤣
if only the 4060 & the 7600 XT 8GB were launched below $200 price tag or even $250, they'd be perfect for 1080p players
4060 should be arround $200
Do one with 1660s too bro.

What was the 4060 model you used in this video?
It is the PNY XLR8 Dual Fan.
Thank you!!!

N sei pq, mas as placas da nvidia vai na maioria das vezes só vai até 12gb de vram.

For spoiled western brats, no resolution or fps is enough 😂😅
Ikr! Crying out about not getting 100 plus fps while on max settings while playing with a budget to mid card is just pathetic af.
Is RX 6600 XT still enough at the end of 2024?
Yes it is!
Is a i7 six gen and rtx 4060 is worth it ?
That CPU is turning 10 years old soon. Avoid buying that combination
not worth it for open world gaming
