I would be surprised if the weight of people would damage most of the arches. I think the problem would be abrasion from thousands of feet. I assumed the title was about something to do with the moon, never heard of a babymoon. Looks like you had an enjoyable trip.

I always skip the boring interstate in favor of the more leisurely and scenic route thru Payson to Flagstaff. Try it sometime!

Arches NP said that it's the weight from people. They will eventually fall, but humans on top of them will make it happen much faster.
A babymoon is a trip people take while pregnant, as a final getaway before their infant arrives. Think “honeymoon”.
