    I’m British and happily admit that Germany is... well... it’s like Britain, except it’s cleaner, more organised, more disciplined, the transport networks are all superior, the beer is better, the women are hotter, the economy is stronger, societal wealth is more balanced, houses are bigger, decent cars are cheaper, people are more honest and direct and finally (and most importantly) German women are hotter. Oh... and the women are more attractive. And also, the German women are nicer... and hotter.

      saelaird May I ask what exactly is more attractive about German women than British women? I often read that we are far too masculine and ugly. Would be intersting to know

    what I am trying to say is that the German people have much more reasons to hate the English than visa-versa...yet they have moved on and choose to accept the English as fellow European brothers.. I lived in Germany for four years and, with the exception of Dresden (who also do not like Americans very much), found no animosity to the English whatsoever. In other words-let's all get along and just forget the past mistakes and just love each other....the past is the past and should be buried.

    in short: output control means that you evaluate the results i.e if the team makes the mark no questions asked. The German through put control idea means that you regulary check up and monitor the whole work process to find bottle necks with less focus on just the out put. With a German boss make sure that with every larger project of more than a few weeks you keep him up to date on your progress. And remember that this is a stereotype so it doesn't apply to everyone.

Whilst our national dislike for both nations is mostly comedic (and this cuts both ways - they "hate" us too) I think the dislike of Germans is more seriously felt and more frequently articulated. But really we are just kidding (mainly) - unless theres a world cup penalty shoot out involved, then we really start to hate them! To be honest though, there's as much anti American sentiment in the UK as there is anti-German and French.

    The demacratic party can insist all they like, in unregulated capitalism it will by definition make no difference, it was greed not political insistance that caused those loans to be made, and it was greed also that ensured them. You're right, it can't all be blamed on bush, but by the same token, its not fair to dismiss Obamas reforms out of hand before the event. Remember that critics of Bush have the benefit of hindshight, saying Obama 'will' fail doesn't even have that. Give him a chance.

  • @BlauerBooo
    @BlauerBooo 15 лет назад

    Sorry, your comment confused me. I think I didn't get it correctly in its meaning ^^
    Of course making fun of stereotypes is common business, but I think it can be done more intelligent... It is - for me - too obvious, too flat (?!). Maybe I only think so as a German, but the stereotypes he refers to are already hackneyed. There are many stereotypes about Germans - I see it if I hear other's talking about us. So he could make fun of other ones. ^^
    Okay, I see, I can't convince anybody... ^^
