I've done all treasures deathless once... and I'll never do that again; it made me irate. I understand why they wouldn't track both deathless and 100% treasures (because why would anyone choose to willingly do that to themselves), but having the game not track both made several levels turn into aggravated paranoia. The RNG on a few levels is BS that became a personal offense under a 100% deathless run, and I now have an unusually intense hatred for the creeping chrysanthemum. Having another player would have improved things dramatically... or we would have given up as our friendship came to a swift end. You two should return for that challenge. I'm fairly certain it's less aggravating than getting the antidioxin filter or guard satellite without blues/yellows, and together you have commiseration or a new plot point to forward the rivalry.
Wow, I didn‘t realize that beating Pikmin 1 challenge mode without losing Pikmin was considered so hard it warrants an actual challenge video. Since it gives you a distinct icon, I figured it’s intended by the game for normal players, despite hard. I fought my way through all but 3 of the challenges like that, in single player.

This was overall a great video, but I have some gripes--I felt like it started to blend together because there was no introduction to each stage--not even showing that you guys went to each area--so it was sortof like cutting stuff around and it got really confusing to me. I noticed the one longer one where you guys got wrecked by the Groink at the end just randomly appeared complete in the few times you showed the menu, and I was confused by that too. This is your first time with a longer video though, so it's reasonable to be a bit rough. I really liked the actual video content though, you two are entertaining!
Speaking of p2 challenge mode, the scoring system is 10 times the amount that you earned, so if you got say 1,725 pokos, you’ll actually get 17,250 pokos or something like that.
Except it didn't elden ring was very experimental for formsoft and with how the dlc turned out it seems they've figured out how to better incorporate the open world elements with traditional dark souls dungeons Elden Ring still has the amazing story and lore of dark souls it has an improved combat system it rewards you for exploring and paying attention sure the game isn't a metriodvania like dark souls 1 partially was that doesn't mean the game is designed worse it just means you can see more of the world the creators want you to explore
@@animeproblem1070 I dislike Elden Ring because of the pasted enemies and copied pasted bosses being the vast majority of enemies. Every area in Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3 were VERY distinct from each other in terms of having to learn how to deal with the enemies there and the environment you were fighting in. In Elden Ring, you fight the same recolors of the same enemies with the same bland open environments from the start of the game until the end of the game. I dislike the poor level design. Levels in Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3 felt like actual dungeons where you need to really think about how you approach problems and getting further and further in was a meaningful accomplishment. They also had a lot of side areas that added a lot of personality to the games. Elden Ring's dungeons are pretty much all extremely linear and you can blast through most of them on your first try in under an hour (not just the overworld dungeons, but the major dungeons too). I dislike the nonexistent balancing. Everything does too much damage across the board, and the player really doesn't have enough health and armor to avoid getting one shot or nearly one shot (I played at about 60 Vigor iirc). Bosses generally have WAY too much health, makes fights more tedious and boring rather than exciting and tense. It just makes me want to switch to using some cheesy bleed or sorcery build to nuke bosses in seconds so I don't have to do like a 20 minute fight. I don't care about the story or anything else since these games basically have no story unless you like reading item descriptions for hours on end. I will die on the hill that Elden Ring is a bloated mess. Dark Souls was a gourmet medium rare steak seasoned to perfection, and Elden Ring is 20 McChickens with no mayo. It was just so mind-numbingly repetitive when the previous games were so full of interesting little encounters and scenarios. I would say DS1 was a 10/10, DS2 was a 8/10, DS3 was a 7.5/10, and Elden Ring was 6/10. That outta sum up my feelings for you.
@@Rad_Roxxi_Music calling elden rings environments bland is an insult to basically the entire art team and the people who did the design work I'm just gonna point out a couple things from soft is not a huge studio where they can just throw people at a problem they're successful yes that doesn't mean that they can just produce dozens of random bosses and enemies for each environment most RPGs do this where you have a lot of generics to fill in and you can't say it doesn't make sense for them to do this when they expect a players to do maybe a third of the side dungeons We have legacy dungeons with the meticulously crafted encounters you're asking for The bosses with ridiculous hp pools if you have a max upgraded straight sword and you can get consistent hits on malenia she takes maybe 7 minutes for phase 1 and then starts phase 2 with a quarter if her health and a move that can be punished heavily to bring her down to half and a decent player after that should take maybe 8 minutes in phase 2 and she has one of the larger health pools in elden ring The end game enemies I agree do hit hard here's a secret a shield is viable if you can't dodge I understand why they cranked up the damage at the end game so much by that time you should have 15 flaks the wonderous phisik a ton of crystal tears 4 talisman slots and a horde of spells, buffs, armor, weapons, and levels that you can use too mincemeat most of the enemies in the game if they didn't do something to make okayish players use their flaks there'd basically be no challenge at all in the late game cause you could just walk through most bosses attacks hit them and heal it wouldn't be a challenge for most players if they didn't hit hard and one shots with 60 vigor what were you wearing the black knife set
@@animeproblem1070 Fromsoftware made around half a billion dollars before starting Elden Ring and it was in development for what, half a decade? I think that should answer any concerns of "pls no bully devs." I really don't like bragging because it makes me feel dirty, but it's worth mentioning that I 100%'d Elden Ring about a month after it came out (100%'ing Fromsoft games is a hobby of mine). I also completed a shield-only run, and got pretty far into my level 1 run before I just kind of got bored of the game. (FYI I beat the DS 1, 2, 3 over 10 times for each game and only beat ER about 4 times) Difficulty was not the issue, it was the quality of each individual boss fight and area. The legacy dungeons of ER sucked really bad. They were too short and too easy, and were basically just linear encounters of enemies without the environment playing a meaningful factor into how you interacted with the level. The fights simply were not as good as the fights from their older games, and the areas simply were not as good from their older games. The game lacks replayability due to it's repetitive nature. I called the environments bland because they were basically window dressing of samey feeling big, flat, open spaces while you fight the same handful of copy-pasted enemies. In the previous Souls games, each area had distinct gimmicks that significantly changed how you had to approach the level, while that level of quality was really only present for a very small number of areas in ER. For the wider audience, ER was obviously a massive hit and people love the game for a good reason. But for hardcore Fromsoft fanboys, it was kind of a letdown.
@@animeproblem1070 RIP my comment, have to retype it. fromsoftware's gross revenue prior to releasing ER totaled to about half a billion, and they took about 5 years to make ER. They are a massively successful company and have a track record of pumping out hit after hit, I think they could have maybe just not half-butt'd like 60% of the game. difficulty was not the issue, I 100%'d elden ring about a month after it came out (requires you to beat the game three times) and later did a shields-only run, and later started but didn't finish a level 1 run. (FYI I have also 100%'d DS 1, 2, 3, and beat them about 10 times each with various challenge runs. only beat ER 4 times bc it just wasn't as good). I really didn't care about the art or anything since I care much more about gameplay (the game is very pretty tho). The areas were "bland" to me because so much of the areas you fight in are big, empty, and flat. The older games used the environments as part of the encounter, meaning you can fight the same handful of enemies three or four times, but the encounter would play out extremely different in each fight (e.g. having deal with flankers, snipers, while there was uneven terrain, death pits, traps, ect.). That plays a big role in why I dislike Elden Ring and prefer the older fromsoft games. It just felt like you were walking from one empty room to the next and killing the same trash mobs over and over again. The game was really repetitive and over bloated, generally just really unengaging to play. Even the major dungeons were like that, just way too much "here's a few guys in an empty room have fun I guess idc" Elden Ring was a massive success and a lot of people fell in love with it, but it really doesn't appeal to the hardcore fromsoft fanboys who want to get ACME anvils dropped on their heads every 10 feet in mastercraft quality levels. Elden Ring did not deliver on that experience, instead it felt like just another open world RPG except the combat is actually good. That's all. Not trying to tell you what you can and can't enjoy, just saying some people don't like ER and this is why.

@@Rad_Roxxi_Music calling elden rings environments bland is an insult to basically the entire art team and the people who did the design work I'm just gonna point out a couple things from soft is not a huge studio where they can just throw people at a problem they're successful yes that doesn't mean that they can just produce dozens of random bosses and enemies for each environment most RPGs do this where you have a lot of generics to fill in and you can't say it doesn't make sense for them to do this when they expect a players to do maybe a third of the side dungeons
We have legacy dungeons with the meticulously crafted encounters you're asking for
The bosses with ridiculous hp pools if you have a max upgraded straight sword and you can get consistent hits on malenia she takes maybe 7 minutes for phase 1 and then starts phase 2 with a quarter if her health and a move that can be punished heavily to bring her down to half and a decent player after that should take maybe 8 minutes in phase 2 and she has one of the larger health pools in elden ring
The end game enemies I agree do hit hard here's a secret a shield is viable if you can't dodge I understand why they cranked up the damage at the end game so much by that time you should have 15 flaks the wonderous phisik a ton of crystal tears 4 talisman slots and a horde of spells, buffs, armor, weapons, and levels that you can use too mincemeat most of the enemies in the game if they didn't do something to make okayish players use their flaks there'd basically be no challenge at all in the late game cause you could just walk through most bosses attacks hit them and heal it wouldn't be a challenge for most players if they didn't hit hard and one shots with 60 vigor what were you wearing the black knife set

Fromsoftware made around half a billion dollars before starting Elden Ring and it was in development for what, half a decade? I think that should answer any concerns of "pls no bully devs."
I really don't like bragging because it makes me feel dirty, but it's worth mentioning that I 100%'d Elden Ring about a month after it came out (100%'ing Fromsoft games is a hobby of mine). I also completed a shield-only run, and got pretty far into my level 1 run before I just kind of got bored of the game. (FYI I beat the DS 1, 2, 3 over 10 times for each game and only beat ER about 4 times)
Difficulty was not the issue, it was the quality of each individual boss fight and area.
Even the major dungeons were like that, just way too much "here's a few guys in an empty room have fun I guess idc"
Elden Ring was a massive success and a lot of people fell in love with it, but it really doesn't appeal to the hardcore fromsoft fanboys who want to get ACME anvils dropped on their heads every 10 feet in mastercraft quality levels. Elden Ring did not deliver on that experience, instead it felt like just another open world RPG except the combat is actually good.
That's all. Not trying to tell you what you can and can't enjoy, just saying some people don't like ER and this is why.
Considering you need to do it deathless in order to get the "Louie's Dark Secret", yeah it can be done.
Bro didnt even watch the intro of the video before commenting
@@julymorris6367 No I did not since the title of the video and thumbnail don't specify anything different. I'm subscribed to this channel and know they do all sorts of challenges so yeah, I said that without watching.
stream was fire yesterday this was funny to watch
MOAR PIKMADNESS
I just finished this challenge a few day ago, cool that this got released just after
really weird theres no treasure tracking in this mode, especially since some of the levels clearly expected you to get them.
6:45 you say we're going to get tilted but really what's going to tilt us is pikmkn getting stuck on bullshit for no reason
My brother and i got very very good high scores in the challenge mode when we were kids. The maze one we eventually got amazing luck. The key and hole spawned right at the start on each floor
Oh god this is insanity and I love it
sorry i wasn't able to catch the stream but i love your content
Damn what a great way to end the work day
I did this at 13 and I had no idea how I had that kind of patience
Oh man, I remember doing this challenge with my brother back in the day. When we finally got it, we were rewarded with… another reason to hate Louie XD
Im canadian and I say Mario the right way 😂
You are a disgrace to our kind

Now that you guys are on good speaking terms, I know of a pikmin 2 mod that I think you guys might like, and that I’ve been looking for someone to do a 2 player playthrough of. This mod is called Colossal Caverns. Think of it as the closest that a pikmin game can get to being a roguelike. I don’t have anything to offer other than likes and subscriptions, but if you guys do it together I think it would make some great content!
