Hi may I know what your Top 3 favorite Japanese sunscreens are? I'm looking for ones that don't make my skin look super greasy as well & don't have a white cast. I've tried out the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence & Athlizm and I found them too shiny/greasy on my skin. I've also recently tried the Canmake Tokyo Mermaid Skin Gel UV - Clear and found it better than the Biore ones since it doesn't make me look shiny but it does have a bit of white cast sadly and my skin tone is fair but not fitzpatrick 2 white. I'm around a 3. I'm currently testing out the Verdio UV Moisture Essence which is similar to the Biore ones but slightly better, I need to test it out longer tho. Please do let me know your faves thank you! :)

@@sugerless20 in my personal experience, it’s not as bad as how much US ones sting but it can kind of hurt a little if your eyes are sensitive to chemical sunscreens.
This is my fave sunscreen so far. It doesn't feel greasy and it isn't drying also. It's so affordable and I reaaply as many times I want because it's cheap. It sits well under makeup.

I love love love this sunscreen! I bought it off your rec and love that they have a large amount and with a pump. It’s so convenient to use on a daily basis. I do a full pump for my face, neck, and chest. It’s a lot but it’s dries down easily and I like knowing I have good protection. Because price for the size is so good, it’s good for my wallet. It dries quickly, leaves no shine, has no fragrance, and looks like I didn’t put nothing on my face. Oh, and it doesn’t sting my eyes! Even my sunscreen avoidant spouse will use this! Love 💕

Pump sunscreens are bomb. Just very useful especially when your hands are full on sunscreen and to me they disperse a perfect amount in one pump. So like maybe a pump for my face one for my neck and ears one for the top of my head (buzzed very close) and two for my upper arm which is tattooed. That’s a lot of sunscreen! I’m a big guy though but I don’t think about the cost when I have this giant bottle. I need to try this one. I’m using Kose right now and it’s good! I’ve tried the little gold UV Aqua milk before and it’s good but it was overpriced at the time. This was before I went to yesstyle and went off...🙃

This is definitely such a great investment (i'd still want a gallon for it though lol). What I also enjoy is that you can put TOO much, and it still doesn't feel like it, so you can ensure you're getting great protection. I haven't used Kose yet.
My new favorite sunscreen I have oily prone acne skin or at least use to and this keeps it in check every other sunscreen I use left me looking greasy or that photo of mark Zuckerberg when he went surfing meme😭.
I used this for the first time today! My face was still shiny but only because it’s like Satan’s armpit where I live at the moment. No where near as bad as others I’ve tried. No burns in 32 degree heat (Celsius) and NO SUNSCREEN SMELL! The best thing ever as I absolutely hate the scent of sunscreens and it wasn’t oily to start with! I applied Make-up straight after applying and it went on fine.

Both are plug ins on my chrome browser, so anytime I go on a site either one offers cash back on, I’m automatically prompted (annoying most times, but useful for some). Ok I’m officially retiring my US mineral sunscreens for this. The UVA and UVB filters seem more effective in this sheer formula anyway 🤩 also does this sting around the eyes like a typical American sunscreen would?

Do you know any semi mineral and chemical sunscreens? Im always worried about hyper pigmentation and I never know what sunscreen is effective for this since thats not something they (sunscreen brands) don't really measure.
Sounds like the everyday perfect body sunscreen! I have super oily skin so I'm not sure how it'll work on my face. Has anyone used the blue (alcohol & fragrance free) or pink (tone-up) versions?
Update: I ended up trying all 3 of the Skin Aqua sunscreens. The blue one is my new holy grail! Gold (Moisture Gel): Watery texture, extremely lightweight, has a lot of alcohol but not too drying, no white cast, sets down natural-matte (tiny bit glowy) but gets oily throughout the day (no oil control). The big bottle with the pump is great for non-sticky body sunscreen! Blue (Moisture Milk): Watery texture, very lightweight, no alcohol or fragrance, no white cast, takes a little longer to absorb but sets down natural-matte (feels like nothing on the skin), slight oil-control throughout the day so I get less shiny overall. Pink (Moisture Milk Pink): Very similar to the blue, but has a slight white cast and slightly more dewy/glowy finish, not as much oil control so I start getting shiny throughout the day. The small blue bottle is great for travel, and it's my current holy grail.
@@dikemariel i have combo skin and it works great on me. the finish is dewy tho. it definitely leaves a glow. but it is very lightweight and you don't feel greasy or heavy at all :)
Good luck finding an Asian sunscreen (or any sunscreen) that DOESN'T have glycerin in it. As someone with Fungal Acne..and fungal acne LOVES to eat glycerin..I have only found 2 Skin Aqua sunscreens (the gel and essence) that doesn't have glycerin in them. Any other suggestions appreciated!

Hey! Kinda late of a response but typically layering moisturizers and sunscreens should be no problem at all unless either contain actives that cancel the other out! In short, you should be absolutely fine to layer!

So far I have this in my Stylevana basket 1. Hada Labo White Gel SPF 50, 2. Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence, and 3. Skin Aqua UV Super Moister Gel. I am fed up searching for American physical/chemical sunscreens, that either 1. leave a white cast or 2. sting the eyes. I am a light-skinned Latina with oily/acne/sometimes sensitive skin lol
How does this compare to the purito centella unscented chemical sunscreen?

Texture-wise? Mucccchhh more lightweight. In itself less moisturizing, but fantastic filters. I use Purito by itself with only a hydrators underneath since it’s such a nice moisturizing texture, this is almost milk-like, so if you have dry skin, this would need to be over something that would nourish the skin a little more. But this sets down quickly and still looks as nice and radiant on the skin as Purito
apparently this spf reformulated and removed a uva filter.... and this is apparently not the same as the essence that is in the 80g package... so confusing

I recommend either blotting or powdering. You don't have to wear a full face of makeup. What do you layer underneath?
This is the old version right? In late 2020 they changed the formulation I guess and this white bottle one only has 1 Uv filter, please correct me if I'm wrong, also is Ethanol in this one at 3rd in the ingredient list is fine to use especially for people who's skin a bit sensitive? This is the only sunscreen I'd love to try and ethanol is my concern, don't have other good options in my country besides this one

I haven't traveled with this one yet, but it has a little plastic thing to put on the pump mechanism to prevent it from pumping! If not, maybe decant a little? They also have a smaller version (listed in the description) that's a more standard squeezy bottle, so it'd be more travel friendly!
It CLAIMS to be. In my experience, it varies. With some sweat and powder on it, I haven't noticed an issue. But by itself and in TORRENTIAL rain, it reactivated, but only in some areas.

I would love to see your opinion on the nivea super water gel! I saw these two compared a lot when I was shopping around, but people were dismissing the super water gel for "only" being spf 50 pa+++... I'm loving the formula though!

I love this as a body sunscreen. I can't use it on my face because it smells like baby powder to me and it gives me a headache.
I never really noticed the scent of it, but I love using this on my neck and chest and arms. I need a gallon jug of this lol.

Ok I’m officially retiring my US mineral sunscreens for this. The UVA and UVB filters seem more effective in this sheer formula anyway 🤩 also does this sting around the eyes like a typical American sunscreen would?
I haven't found it to sting at all! And that's with sweating and stuff. This sets down beautifully.

Sounds like the everyday perfect body sunscreen! I have super oily skin so I'm not sure how it'll work on my face. Has anyone used the blue (alcohol & fragrance free) or pink (tone-up) versions?

There's a gold version of this sunscreen which is suitable for oily skin.
Update: I ended up trying all 3 of the Skin Aqua sunscreens. The blue one is my new holy grail!
Gold (Moisture Gel): Watery texture, extremely lightweight, has a lot of alcohol but not too drying, no white cast, sets down natural-matte (tiny bit glowy) but gets oily throughout the day (no oil control). The big bottle with the pump is great for non-sticky body sunscreen!
Blue (Moisture Milk): Watery texture, very lightweight, no alcohol or fragrance, no white cast, takes a little longer to absorb but sets down natural-matte (feels like nothing on the skin), slight oil-control throughout the day so I get less shiny overall.
Pink (Moisture Milk Pink): Very similar to the blue, but has a slight white cast and slightly more dewy/glowy finish, not as much oil control so I start getting shiny throughout the day. The small blue bottle is great for travel, and it's my current holy grail.
I have the gel gold version of this one and i love it!
Do you think the Gel Gold will be suitable for oily skin? What's the finish like on the face ?
@@dikemariel i have combo skin and it works great on me. the finish is dewy tho. it definitely leaves a glow. but it is very lightweight and you don't feel greasy or heavy at all :)

Good luck finding an Asian sunscreen (or any sunscreen) that DOESN'T have glycerin in it. As someone with Fungal Acne..and fungal acne LOVES to eat glycerin..I have only found 2 Skin Aqua sunscreens (the gel and essence) that doesn't have glycerin in them. Any other suggestions appreciated!

Hey! Kinda late of a response but typically layering moisturizers and sunscreens should be no problem at all unless either contain actives that cancel the other out! In short, you should be absolutely fine to layer!

Hey Ramón, I'm really interested what you think about the Hada Labo Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk 🙈 Many love this sunscreen because the texture is lightweight, runny and feels like nothing on the skin, but I'm a bit hesitant bc it also contains zinc so there might be a slight white cast.. So far I have this in my Stylevana basket 1. Hada Labo White Gel SPF 50, 2. Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence, and 3. Skin Aqua UV Super Moister Gel. I am fed up searching for American physical/chemical sunscreens, that either 1. leave a white cast or 2. sting the eyes. I am a light-skinned Latina with oily/acne/sometimes sensitive skin lol

How does this compare to the purito centella unscented chemical sunscreen?
Texture-wise? Mucccchhh more lightweight. In itself less moisturizing, but fantastic filters. I use Purito by itself with only a hydrators underneath since it’s such a nice moisturizing texture, this is almost milk-like, so if you have dry skin, this would need to be over something that would nourish the skin a little more. But this sets down quickly and still looks as nice and radiant on the skin as Purito

I recommend either blotting or powdering. You don't have to wear a full face of makeup. What do you layer underneath?

This is the old version right? In late 2020 they changed the formulation I guess and this white bottle one only has 1 Uv filter, please correct me if I'm wrong, also is Ethanol in this one at 3rd in the ingredient list is fine to use especially for people who's skin a bit sensitive? This is the only sunscreen I'd love to try and ethanol is my concern, don't have other good options in my country besides this one

Hi, do you bring it in your bag? Cause I'm a student and I want to bring it to my backpack, but I afraid that it would splash everywhere with the pump in my messy bag;)))
I haven't traveled with this one yet, but it has a little plastic thing to put on the pump mechanism to prevent it from pumping! If not, maybe decant a little? They also have a smaller version (listed in the description) that's a more standard squeezy bottle, so it'd be more travel friendly!

It CLAIMS to be. In my experience, it varies. With some sweat and powder on it, I haven't noticed an issue. But by itself and in TORRENTIAL rain, it reactivated, but only in some areas.
Glow By Ramón it is probrably water resistant but not waterproof like Biore Aqua Essence which I love.
