Hey guys! We are experimenting with intro/outro ideas, constructive feedback welcome 😊 you can also skip to Gameplay chapter if you like while we improve ❤
I really loved hearing from everyone when explaining their decks. It feels so much more organic and personal. Although I do understand the new layout allows for viewers to see the cards and understand the oracle text best, I’d love for this to be done in the old format (with each of you explaining your commander and worst possible) with images of the cards to the side? Side by side with the video of you all maybe?
I much prefer the old intro where everyone talks about their own decks. I feel like the biggest plus of this show is its constant loveable cast and that 3 mins gives everyone a bit of a spotlight
People enjoy the personalities of the players explaining their deck. Even if Ben struggles with it, it's still him being himself. You guys are selling you.
I appreciate taking out the preview spoiler from the intro, but I have to say I prefer the shows normal pregame and post game discussions from the players
I get what you are going for, a bit more structure, but it makes it less organic. Dunno about others but I do enjoy the vibe of the group and the organic interactions you have, this takes away from that. Ben being goofy is Ben being goofy and I am here for that too
I prefer the old format better. Seeing player's reaction to opponent's worst possible is nice and the way the wort possible delivered by each player makes it feel like it really is something they're looking forward to do, where as getting someone from "outside" explaining doesn't really deliver the same vibes. PS. Wasn't the Mirkwood bats CGB's? thus would have left the game upon CGB's death and perhaps would have given Shae a chance for a comeback, although it seemed unlikely.
Long time watcher, first time poster. I liked the old intro better, it showed the personalities of the players and the goofiness and what to expect from each. The song with the poses was also cool and eased us into the actual gameplay. Also seeing everybody just cool off post game and banter was awesome, it was an endearing experience overall. Experimenting is fine, but right now this feels too robotic and generic and sort of removes the chill vibes I got from watching you guys in the first place.
I really enjoyed listening to everyone talk all about their deck and worst possible in the old intro. The new intro feels too forced and doesn’t give everyone enough time in the spotlight IMO. Love y’all ❤
I subscribed because i like the personality, play history, and table vibes of the intro. You could shortcut explaining why its called worst possible commander thru a VO, makes sense. But i think bringing back the interactive deck talk would be cool. Honestly, yall were one of the first play groups i saw really do that, kinda like sharing the rule 0
The new narration method just takes me out of the 'friends in a card shop' vibe that makes this series so watchable. Props to Gina for her clarity of speech and pacing in presentation, though. She did a really good job as a voice over.
There are only a couple of EDH/cEDH gameplay on youtube(that I watch), and u are my favorite casual channel by far!! love the content and how u guys talk about your worst cards and it's all around the same "POWER" if u wanna call it that. love what u guys are doing!!! I actually built Shea's (lord skitter rat, tribal/discard-exile deck) she played a while ago, changed like 10 cards and it is 1 of my favorite decks to play lately
I like the intro that has been introduced. It's clear and simple. Nothing was wrong with the old way either. This is just a breath of fresh air into your content.
I prefer the players explaining their decks and their worst possibles, it’s just more organic. I also prefer the players saying their outros, even if sometimes someone messes up an outro it’s still funny and enjoyable. I do love the bloopers at the end now.
CGB I much prefer the old intro/outro. I’m a big fan and enjoy all your content. I really look forward to the commander show every week. Thanks for everything you do 💖
I miss everyone talking about their worst possible at the table setting. I know Playing With Power is a channel that benefits from the type of intro you are trying out, but they also don’t have the same good ol’ friends every time, which I believe worked well with your original intro and differentiated your games from other channels
Those of us that are friends with CGB in real life know that his famous nom de plume is actually the initials of his real name, Crabking Guillotine Bangarang
I, too, prefer the old version of the intro, or at least each player reading their own cards - though I do love the "blooper" at the end, something I think should be a regular thing.
Still prefer the old intros. Highlighting the card and details makes sense but I still enjoy hearing the uninterrupted from the player. So maybe try the splash screen of the card with some minor details to the side while they're talking as opposed to cutting back and forth.
so far I think I've noticed that Blake did rad counters before upkeep which is incorrect? Unless I'm missing something. But those should be happening at start of main phase.
Wait a second, at 19:44 CGB went from attacking straight to end step? Or did he mean the token exile at end of combat? If it was end step, he still casted a board wipe sorcery speed spell after that!
Yes, the voice over is super cringe, and yes it's so sad to not like see the player describe their deck, but what I think I miss the most is the cool song between the intro and the gameplay. Also the funny poses.
I like the voice over explaining the commanders. I also love Gina's enthusiasm while reading! I prefer the group explaining their decks, but I don't mind voice overs for clarification.
I appreciate what you tried to do with new intro and outro talk, and I can see it being more informative for beginners, but I hope we can go back to old intro and outro talk, it was more person and I loved the vibe of friends hanging out and playing, sharing their views of decks, rather than narration
Please stick to the old format of everyone explaining their own stuff. Idk if it is more work but we love you guys for your personalities and feeling like we are playing at the table with you. It may seem more low tech but I think we all appreciate everyone’s voice being heard. Thank you guys for all you do!
CGB's comment at the end about Blake being the champion of the Worst Commander show gave me an idea y'all could try: a best of the year deck face-off using each crew members "best" deck from that year to crown an annual champion.
loving the pre game narration, but i think it would be better if the narrators explained the commander, their general game plan, and then allowed the person piloting the deck to explain their worst possible to have the cut between narrator to player back to narrator feel less back and forth and more intentional
I'm not a fan of the new intro etc. However if you guys want to keep it, it's your channel after all, should have the player do the voice over for their own deck. I think it adds more personality as a sort of "side bar" with the viewer, rather than just cgb or Mrs cgb taking turns. I'd follow it up with the old pre game banter that was had. This way you can keep the structure you're aiming for, while still having an organic endearing experience.
So not to be that guy, and correct me if I’m wrong Blake wouldn’t have been able to do that last 4 damage due to CGB dying and Mirkwood Bats leaving the battlefield
I love you guys trying to improve an already great show. Personally I liked the players explaining their decks/worst possible. Everybody has his/her own great personality and the explanation is a great way to present those. Keep up the good work!
@tomkersten1017 so on a spindown from MTG all the numbers are in order, which makes it more likely that you'll get higher numbers, but with a D20 the numbers aren't in order, so it's more of a random chance
My feedback is pretty simple: (1) please make the changes that allow you to further monetize (so you can continue to add production value) and (2) please disregard the whiny guff from all the *‘I watch the show for free and I don’t want it to ever change’* people 🙏 PS. Brent, you are kicking serious butt on the backend 🐐
At the end, killing cgb should have gotten rid of mirkwood bats, so tokens entering should not deal damage to shea. Moot point game was over, but still.
I appreciate losing the spoiler from the beginning, but I kinda prefer everyone talking about their own decks. It feels a lot more of this is what MY commander deck might do.
Haven't tuned in for awhile on these since my local pod split up. Is this intro a new thing ? It's kind of jarring to hard cut from introducing a commander then going to someone else's voice over covering it ( regardless who's voice just someone else talking about it. ) Seen another comment mentioning the cast here and that's a big draw for this particular RUclips commander gameplay channel. Not those exact words but I whole heartedly agree. Not trying to be super negative but constructive criticism as a viewer. Main thing for me is it's jarring hard cutting from one person to another just to explain the person's commander/worst possible. I think those edits would be fine if the same player voiced them over if you just want the visual for people. Hope this isn't a "too long didn't read" (Edit: left this comment right when getting into the second commander introduction , only just realized there's a pinned comment saying this is in fact a new intro that's being tried out.)
Btw spiral counters are not dice, they are not a D20 because dice have their numbers on opposite sides to equal 1+ the die total (21 for a D20). This is optimal for the randomness of the roll, many people in other games cheat using a spiral counter because it’s easy to continue rolling on the high side of the die because they’re all in one spot.
It doesn't matter as long as they don't cheat with a spindown dice. It still has 20 sides meaing as long as you actually roll it, that's a 1/20 chance to roll any side.
Hey guys! We are experimenting with intro/outro ideas, constructive feedback welcome 😊 you can also skip to Gameplay chapter if you like while we improve ❤
Much prefer everyone talking for themselves
Appreciate you guys experimenting but the old format is so much better
We love the cast and we want to see more of the cast the intro is such a large part of that.
@@SamySapphyre something like that is how definitely how you do it
I much prefer the old intro where everyone talks about their own decks. I feel like the biggest plus of this show is its constant loveable cast and that 3 mins gives everyone a bit of a spotlight
I agree 100%
I couldn't agree more, I was thinking on how to say this exact sentiment, so thank you.
People enjoy the personalities of the players explaining their deck. Even if Ben struggles with it, it's still him being himself. You guys are selling you.
I appreciate taking out the preview spoiler from the intro, but I have to say I prefer the shows normal pregame and post game discussions from the players
Missing the original intro! I love hearing from each player, your personalities are what make the show so fun and entertaining.❤
Original intro and not sure im sold on CGB narration and reading of cards, everyone should do their own showcase
I get what you are going for, a bit more structure, but it makes it less organic. Dunno about others but I do enjoy the vibe of the group and the organic interactions you have, this takes away from that. Ben being goofy is Ben being goofy and I am here for that too

The bats should have left with CGB...but Blake has multiple paths to victory here!
Long time watcher, first time poster.

Love when ma boy Blake goes off like that 😂🔥
Much rather hear each person say their own into. Feels better thanks
The new narration method just takes me out of the 'friends in a card shop' vibe that makes this series so watchable.

Yoko
CGB explaining his aversion to gambling was so relatable and wholesome.
The murk wood bats should have gone with cgb
Exactly what I came to say. Maybe Shea gets another turn any haste evasion and she pulls it off.
@@robertelliott4272or a board wipe...
I like the intros you've done. Gina is an amazing narrator and I appreciate the reading of the cards while just the cards are on the screen.

Everyone is commenting about the intro, but i want to say i liked the game summary outro! It was good to get a little recap to relive the big swings
I really prefer each player explaining their Rule 0. Good to see you guys trying different things though
I like the intro that has been introduced. It's clear and simple. Nothing was wrong with the old way either. This is just a breath of fresh air into your content.
Go Shea! You're running my newest favorite commander.
I love how Ben choose to be Ben and picked a oddball commander.
I prefer the players explaining their decks and their worst possibles, it’s just more organic. I also prefer the players saying their outros, even if sometimes someone messes up an outro it’s still funny and enjoyable. I do love the bloopers at the end now.
excited for episode 100! thanks for the great content so far
I think the old intro is better because it’s quicker and funnier with your friendship interactions. But I like that you try new things!
CGB I much prefer the old intro/outro. I’m a big fan and enjoy all your content. I really look forward to the commander show every week. Thanks for everything you do 💖
Ben needs to cosplay Three Dogs now at a magic con xD
I liked the old intro better. But I also love how the worsts are explained in s much clearer way.

It's kool change up but the no cut table discussion is so good and chill.
Too bad those Bats would of been gone from Blakes board when CGB died. But He still had the game for sure!
W00t, first time I see a misplay as it happens.
Would have never changed the outcome of that game, but that bat was gone the moment CGB was :)
can we plz go back two the old start of the show

100% stick to the original intro.
I think I'll add to other comments that I like when everyone introduces their own decks.
Dang what a robot tack over Blake
What a spicy fallout commander game!

I love Shay’s T-shirt!
I’m enjoying the new format, really enjoyed the outro
Great show. Please do an episode where you are all wearing the same outfit. Dressing up is very cool.

I prefer the old intros where players explain their own "worst possible".
I liked the summary of the game, but besides that, I also prefer the original intro and best card of the game segments.
Honestly I don't mind some of the narrator overview of the cards but like others say, I really like the players explaining their role 0
Can you also do a return to Warhammer 40k with upgraded decks, thx and I watch this later....
We the people want everyone explaining the worst possible thing their deck does themselves! Love seeing everyone’s own personalities 🫡
I loved the original format of the show. If it’s not broke don’t fix it! Love the team and the show in general, thank you!!
I feel bad that the reaction to the has been visceral but also glad community was clear about what they love about this show.
Maybe im wrong, but shouldnt the copies have stayed on the field whenever CGB rolled 15 or higher?
EDIT:
I was wrong the tokens exile end of combat no matter the roll. I saw two different paragraphs and thought they meant different things
He was also rolling a MTG D20 which isn't what he should be rolling either

I love me some Three Dog Ben :)
Back to the old intro please, thank you

I appreciate losing the spoiler from the beginning, but I kinda prefer everyone talking about their own decks. It feels a lot more of this is what MY commander deck might do.
That was a nice ass sol ring!
12:20 CGB is using a spin down to role the dice for his dice triggers and affects. Come on use the D20, to make it fair🥲
I develop a crush for Shea.
Please, we need a new radio lead by Ben!
Ive got.to say Ben i.dont see the logic.there should be looped😂😂

Mr. House still looks at the rolled die before the result is declared. In that, even if the rolled is/are ignored, it still trigger Mr. House if able
I think you guys should keep this intro and outro just for all the increased engagement we're presumably seeing.
Favourite commander channel ever!!!
I'm okay with either intro, but it does feel sped up.
