Inti only lets you play cards until your next ends step. Exiling cards during your turn only allows you to cast them during that turn. However exiling them during your opponents turns will allow you to have them available for your next turn.
I looked if anyone comented that before me, thank you for also noticing it and pointing it out! Found that pretty strange, as it is a common card wording.
@@hyfynorris there are so many almost the same but not quit equal wordings with impulse draw that honestly i get it. Between until you next turn, until your next end step, until the end of your next turn, until the next endstep... I also get confused sometimes.
Yeah they made "impulse" draw a thing a never figured out what it is so you have to read exactly what the card says cause it could be worded 5+ different ways. It's incredibly annoying when playing a deck and you still have to carefully read every card despite playing it many times.
@@emptynest4103 Yeah, for sure... that kinda stuff never goes through me, but only after much trial and error (mainly error) of playing with cards like obeka or purphoros, lmao.

I can't believe Ben didn't have a single thing is 45-or-so card hand where he could kill his commander, replay it with all those treasures, and then play EVERY CREATURE IN HIS HAND. THAT WOULD'VE BEEN INSANE
Unfortunately, his treasures had summoning sickness when they became 7/7 dinosaurs.
A rematch is definitely called for considering the misplays... let's see what these decks do when played correctly!
Mycotyrant would be way to op, if tokens counted for descend. You could always sacrifice all of them to get them back at the end step. Still a fun to watch game though

Very impactful Missplay
I know EDH is a very complicated format with lots of moving parts but I feel you guys should be a bit more careful with regards to mechanics and card texts so that it'd be much more informative for and helpful to newer players. Descend doesn't trigger off of tokens and inti only exiles until end of its controller's next end step not the end step of the next turn. (those were the mistakes until the point I've watched so far at 23:40)

Second episode in a row they've got this wrong, surprised none of them have caught it.
It enters the graveyard, then immediately disappears next time state-based actions are checked. So, yes it counts

A permanent card is an artifact, battle, creature, enchantment, land, or planeswalker card. Tokens are not cards, and while tokens are put into the graveyard before ceasing to exist, that action doesn't count as a player having descended.. :(
Easiest way to remember is permanent cards are the cards in your deck only. Not anything created by a card.
A token is a permanent. It goes to the gy but doesnt show up thete so it doesnt count
A token is a permanent as such things count only to the battlefield, not the graveyard.
It says permanent card. Tokens are not cards in the stack of 100. Descend only counts cards not tokens. Yes tokens are permanents and they do hit the graveyard but they are not cards.
Tokens are NOT cards, therefore they do not count as permanent CARDS hitting the graveyard and thus do not trigger the descend mechanic. Or anything to do with descending for that matter.

I haven't seen anyone guessing so I thought I would give it a go using context clues (some of these answers are intended in humour). A. is Ben I think because it's the same dice as the one on the Hornet queen (bit of a stretch but it's something). B. is Blake because I think he's the most likely to draw an insect with a gun on account of all the one damage ping decks he has played. I thought about saying CGB is C. and Shae is D. for alphabetical consistency but then I saw C. had the Deathtouch keyword uncapitalised and I knew no one who goes by CGB and considers themself the one in best of one would forget a capitalisation so my final answer is, from A-D, Ben, Blake, Shea and CGB.
Feel free to let me know if you have other theories or you comments people agree with my logic and thank you very much to HolyMTG for gifting me a sub to Shae's Twitch channel a while ago. Sorry I didn't make much use of it but it was appreciated. (I'm part of the replay squad when I can because I live in the wrong part of the world to catch them live so I can't really send messages there). Yes, I am absolutely using my comment to recruit someone so the message will hopefully get to Holy. Consider it thematically Orzhov. Otherwise GG guys, thanks for the game, it was fun to watch and I think Ben wins the intro pose competition for this week.

laelia triggers when one or more cards are exiled from your graveyard or from your library, so when discovering, you only get a single +1/+1 counter on her, because all the cards are exiled at the same time

Gold doesn't need to be tapped to sacrifice and make mana with it.
That's the difference to treasures.

They should errata Spore Frog to be a Frog Fungus
So that isn't how mycotyrant works, and your list doesn't really work as a result (except the combo).
I built a list that does go balistic with tokens, and also includes some lovely spice like Triumph of the Hordes. Opponents also LOVE seeing mesmeric orb lmao

Treasures can’t be tapped and sacrificed for mana, but the Gold from Curse of Opulence do work.
41:21 CGB was supposed to attack with everything cause Spectacular Showdown goads all creatures
He goaded after his own combat, and goad only lasts until your next turn, so by his next turn they are no longer goaded
I refuse to believe ben couldn't handle CGB's attack after drawing 42 cards and having 42 mana to spend...
He didn't have a reliquary tower or a counter it seems.
You need to Tap treasures to sac and get the Mana. Because the 7/7 treasures have summoning sickness, he Had only the gold Token Mana (No need to Tap gold). Ben knew it and made the best play with exploration and Triple mana.

20:21 Laelia only gets 1 counter becouse saids "ewhenever one or more cards are put into exile" so it counts effects that put them in exile not cards puts in exile
Unintuitively, that wording does actually count each card revealed, as it technically does so individually. It's a weird ruling, but they did actually play it correctly.

That was one of the best technical takedown wins executed by Shea at the end of a Commander game that I've ever seen! She tapped her mana exactly correctly and made all the right plays to deal exact damage to take down CGB! Bravo! What a surgical strike, worthy of the champion!

laelia says put “a” counter whenever you exile one or more cards, not “that many” counters. So if a trigger causes you to exile 5 cards then laelia still only gets 1 counter not 5
Correct me if I'm wrong, but discover is technically individual exiles, because you are checking after each one whether to stop or not.

Can you do an episode where someone plays Vito, Fanatic of Aclazotz? I think that he is a realy good commander and would like to see him in action
Laelia shouldn't have been so big, since "The last ability only triggers once for each time cards are put into exile from your library and/or graveyard, no matter how many cards were exiled at the same time.", as it reads from the ruling. So whenever you exile one OR MORE cards, she gets only one +1/+1, even if you exile 30 cards at once.
I think the main pump on her was the Discover, which is an "until", and her last ruling clarifies that an until is separate exiles for the trigger. Not sure how many there were from multi-exiles, I would need to rewatch to count.

The one he sacrificed was the gold token from curse of opulence, which doesn’t need to tap to sac itself!

I cant believe this stuff how doesnt it count token it should its a permanent hit the yard then it fizzle out so should work cause they count as permanent on the feild and for other things they triigger leave the feild to uard any other time so if there wrong make a video showing how this is wrong
