The casters might support 1000kgs as a set but the fasteners won’t hold bc it’s screwed into the side edges of your plywood. It would have been better to use 2x4s or 4x4s for them. I’m sure you know this but someone not familiar with wood working might not know this.
Very nice. One observation about woodworkers in general is, that most spend an inordinate amount of time buying tools , building their shop, buying more tools , improving their shop, buying more tools , making their shop larger , buying more tools etc. etc. 😳😂 When their spouses/partners ask when their new kitchen cabinets will be done , they are told , “as soon as my new sliding table saw from germany or Austria arrives . “

For anyone interested in making this workbench; It is an amazing workbench! I have built mine to have a 4' x 8' 3/4 plywood top only with a circular saw and a handmade straight edge and it is extremely sturdy! I used 6" lockable swivel casters that can hold up to 500kg each, and I have put them to the test! I used the bench as a construction scaffold to insulate my garage's ceiling and it wasn't even feeling risky with only a single 3/4 inch 4' x 8' plywood sheet on top. Me and my uncle, we weigh over 250kg together and we were installing 3/4" plywood sheets on my ceiling, it also had a bunch of tools in the cabinets (I didn't make drawers or anything for now...) and it could've hold even more! There was 2 drill presses, a planer, 2 jointers (4" and 6"), a spare circular saw, a compressor, a portable dust collector and a pen-turning lathe in the cabinets! My only complaints are that I did NOT glue the cabinets to the main frame, because I didn't know if I would like the 4' x 8' footprint...and that I didn't add 2 more strips in between the workbench's top and the cabinet, it sags just a tiny bit because I am using only 1 sheet of 3/4" cheap plywood, I didn't want to use more than this to reduce the cost. SO, If you're thinking of only using a 3/4" plywood top, please do yourself a favor and add at least 1 strip of vertical plywood on top of each sides of the 2 cabinets to reinforce the top!

Love your videos. In the States we were fortunate to get Phear clamps at Rockler stores. They had the normal ones and Rockler blue ones. I did some hobby timber framing last year with 4x4s and they really saved the day when closing the last millimeter in my joints.
Really like this work bench. I plan on building one like it with the addition of putting my table saw in it. I have the Delta 36-725 model and the caster set up is terrible. I also love the cross cut feature and edge cut feature you've built in. This bench build will eliminate the need for a separate table saw, separate expensive cross cut table, and bring my large cuts up off the floor. I want to also install a router in it. A word to the wise with anyone who decides to follow these plans. Since they're designed to be doable by people without a lot of tools and likely experience . . . Getting your plywood pre cut at your local lumberyard is very contingent on how good their cutting service is. This is something you'll probably have to learn the hard way since you might go to a bigbox store and get hair-precise cuts (really depends on the store management and how much pride the floor staff take in keeping the panel saw tuned) or to a lumberyard and get a mess, or visa versa. I wound up using a lot of my own time re-straightening the lumber yard cuts. Luckily, I was skeptical of their precision before hand and sized everything a bit bigger for cleanup at home. But it still left me with a few defects that have haunted me through the project.
The way the frame was designed for strong joints and easy assembly is a novelty. I am thinking of how to modify the design for a smaller 3x5 work bench

Very nice design, and good use of the multi- ply joints (bridle joints?) for an extremely strong and stable structure. What brand of F style clamps are those? I like them a lot.
Great job, this will be my reference model. One question, for clamping the plywood laminates I believe you used an aluminum square tube as a flat reference. What wall thickness is necessary to allow strong clamping against this flat surface without warping the square tube?
What a great workbench! Respect! If I want to rebuild the workbench with your plans but need a lower working height, can I change this without any problems so that all dimensions (in the cutting list and construction plans) are automatically adjusted?
Sin duda será un excelente banco de trabajo, fuerte, versátil y muy práctico. Estaré pendiente del segundo video. Saludos y felicitaciones desde Zitácuaro Michoacán México
Great idea on using the play wood as the frame of the table instead of studs. I enjoy assembly part. Can you share a link where we can find the wheels you used for this table please. Will turn on the notification to check out your more of your videos, great work!
I wonder if those caster/feet are as strong as the specifications claim. I have my doubts. But even if they can support the weight, how feasible is it to turn that wheel with a couple fingers when there is a 600-pound load on the caster?
you're right. I want to make a tool to facilitate the process. The weight will not be a problem, the bench and all storage will not reach 300kg. I've looked for wheels that support more weight to avoid problems. Thanks for your comment!
@@Paoson_Woodworking I did not mean to suggest that the feet would not be enough for your application. I was only questioning the manufacturer specifications of 600-pounds per caster. I think that may be optimistic of them. By the way, if it is too hard to turn the wheel to extend the feet, I guess the workaround would be to have a jack or lever and fulcrum to slide under the bench, raise it up slightly to take the load off the caster, and then turn the wheel to extend the foot.
Hi J Will, The weight capacity of our leveling casters can actually handle about 20% more than we state but we always reduce the capacity by 20% after testing for safety reasons. 600 lbs is not a problem per caster because these are very heavy duty and quality made. The wheels are actually nylon so they are as strong as steel and very impact resistant as well. If you do plan on using the full weight capacity of 4 casters ‘maxed’ out which would be 2,400 lbs for a set of 4, then it is more difficult to turn the red lever to raise or lower the rubber foot pad. The easy fix would be to use a wrench 🔧 to turn the lever instead of your fingers or as you mentioned to slightly take off some of the weight while adjusting but we have not had any complaints or returns on these items and we’ve been selling thousands of them each year for many years now. We’ve made great quality improvements over the years to make sure that we provide the highest quality casters. Thanks for your concerns, please let me know if you have any questions about casters or wheels in the future. I’ll be happy to help. Thank you, Jordan Wilson.
@@CasterHQ Nylon as strong as steel! I can hardly wait to see the skyscrapers built with girders made out of the revolutionary, physics-defying nylon that you have invented! Clearly I was correct to doubt the accuracy of the specifications provided.

I did not mean to suggest that the feet would not be enough for your application.
Hi J Will,
The weight capacity of our leveling casters can actually handle about 20% more than we state but we always reduce the capacity by 20% after testing for safety reasons.
Thank you,
Jordan Wilson.

Nylon as strong as steel! I can hardly wait to see the skyscrapers built with girders made out of the revolutionary, physics-defying nylon that you have invented!
Clearly I was correct to doubt the accuracy of the specifications provided.
J Will
Nylon wheels are comparable to semi steel wheels in the caster industry. Not the same types of steel used to create buildings.
Magnifico...One question my friend....could you link me the programme that you use thank bro...

Excelente trabajo, como siempre. Felicitaciones!!!
Gracias!
What a great workbench! The best I have seen on RUclips. I will be rebuilding this one and have bought your plans. After I am very tall, the workbench should have a height of 100 cm.
Do you have the plans also with a height of 100 cm? I dare not adjust the dimensions because all the cut optimoerungen not fit.
Can you help me?
nope, here an article where I explain how to modify the design: www.paoson.com/blog/en/bench-saw-and-boards-for-the-mobile-workbench/
Deseando ver la segunda parte. Un trabajo muy fino!!!
Gracias Alvaro!
Excelente trabajo...saludos desde Cúcuta Colombia.🙋
Love this bench! Midway through building it. Just installed a top that I made out of white oak. I saw in one of your videos a tool you had to adjust the wheels. Do you have plans for that. I'm thinking of using my CNC to create it. Thanks!
hi David, I have drawn that tool by hand, so I have no plans, sorry. I would like to see photos of your workbench, could you send me some photos? info@paoxxx.com
Would love to learn about how to design these plans great work
Классные струбцины, какой фирмы?

This is a great system thank you very much I am getting ready to build another assembly table this will help me a lot!
Pinta bien esa mesa. Da gusto verte trabajar. Me ha encantado esas patas-ruedas. Saludos
Would it be ok to use linseed oil on ALL of the bench instead of varnish? Is varnish better?
yes, you could also use linseed oil on all of the bench
Bonjour
Super 👍 travail sinon Vous avait les plans de l’établi je Vous remercie beaucoup.
Stéphane
Отличная работа!
I have completed the bench butthe dog holes were a mess on the drawer side.
Would you suggest pluging and redrilling them or some other method? Thanks for your time and help.
hello Robert, please send me your doubts and some photo by email please.
