The first shot of the Mohawk village is the Three Sisters (corn, beans, and squash), QUITE the stage setting to establish the attention to detail and thoughtful consideration for culture. Very nicely done!
Anyone else get a little tear eyed watching this? I loved every second of it. I'd love to see more of Kahhori
I did. It really got to me, imagining a world in which this terrible crime against a whole people was averted. People who needed superheroes of their own. It's a good dream.

I absolutely loved this episode, especially being a mohawk from the same reservation as a lot of people who marvel asked to help work on this. An episode ill rewatch continuously with chills and excitement every time

This is exactly what I wanted from "What If...?" from the very beginning! This was a brilliant introduction to an original character! Kahhori was amazing! This whole episode did everything right! 10/10! I need more of this!
This episode was better than several of marvels phase 5 movies haha. They should definitely make this a movie
That's what I was thinking when I was watching this episode; it has so much love and care put into it when compared to any other project we have had so far. It's even more inspired than "Eternals" in the "ordinary people changing the world" narrative.

Such stunning animation this season. A beautiful story filled with inspiration.
There were many callbacks to Disney here, especially Pocahontas, not just the subplots but the animation, backgrounds specifically, and storyboarding with similar shots. Also, Atlantas and Alice in Wonderland callbacks for sure. Great episode.
There is that, however as a mohawk living on the saint Lawrence River. That's what the story was based on, the lake here is rumored to kill men specifically

Slight confusion on the clan definition within the Haudenosaunee. The Haudenosaunee Confederacy is an alliance of nations (Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and later on Tuscarora). Within those nations, there are clans to represent various villages/settlements of those nations, which individuals identify as. As example: Kohhari is a member of the Wolf Clan, which is part of the Mohawk Nation, which is a member of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.
Another fun anecdote is that the "Mohawk" hairstyle, is not historically accurate to Mohawk people. What we know today as the Mohawk hairstyle is moreso how Pawnee nation members wore their hair (who lived in the central plains of the US, 1000 miles away from the Mohawk).

The conquistador could be a reference to Ponce de Leon who searched for the fountain and was defeated and died against native Americans. I thought the Queen was supposed to be Joanna the Mad daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella.

I’m pretty sure that Kahhoris actions predate Namor, Kahhori should be set around the 1490s until 1504. And Namor is from the 1520s, so Kahhori would have prevented Namors people from being pillaged. Either way it would still be a cool duo

I guess this may be obvious. Given how the first season unfolded. But I suspect Strange Supreme is going to end up crossing paths with Peggy again. Possibly seeking out Kahhori, much the same way Uatu had approached him about Infinity Ultron.
It seems they'll end up with Wanda as well. I'm wondering though, is it Kang? An Incursion? There's few things that would be this dire
I'm thinking the difference will be Supreme Strange and Wanda 1602 are building their own teams to fight and Carter and Kahhori team up to solve the problem. Could be a preview for what Secret Wars will be like on a smaller scale.

It did have a crack, but it was still a cube. So it could have stayed somewhat together even if it was broken
By far my #1 favorite episode of the season. Not knowing anything about Kahhori and what to expect in this episode was such a breath of fresh air. I can only imagine what this would have looked like as a live action MCU movie.
Keep it animated to keep the magic alive, making it live action just breeds other PC agendas

This was such a wonderful story. Not knowing the character was nice change for a superhero character
i had just finished ACIII before watching the episode, so when i saw the burning village, i immediately thought "oh, not this again"

Given how the space stone works, and the multiple celestial bodies in the sky, I'm pretty sure it's another planet.

lol them too, I just listed Forge and Thunderbird because Forge is one of my favorite X-Men and I just reread Giant-Size X-Men #1 again (which was the first appearance of Thunderbird);

i really liked it tbh i usually just stuck what if on it the back ground but this bieng not in english i had to watch wich wasn’t a problem at all
This is my favorite episode in season 2. Diversity is so important and I am glad they used the authentic language and cooperation of the Mohawk Nation. We are better together with a celebration of all of our cultural differences instead of trying to assimilate everyone into the ways of the Western world.

As a fellow Native American I thought this episode was amazing!! I am not necessarily from the Mohawk tribe but seeing Native Americans represented in a MARVEL movie along with them speaking this native language was amazing to see
