Ram slot to board connections can often be heated up with a heat gun and solve random ram problems. Never assume ram is bad until you exhausted all other possibilities, sometimes just reseating ram will do the trick. Thing about laptops is they get moved around a lot, and that can create loose board connections.
I have a similar issue with my Acer Predator Triton 500 se, but instead of 3 or 4 beeps im just getting 2 short beeps a pause and then another 2 short beeps

Well done. I had an old Acer Aspire One laptop failing to boot. It beeped once when I removed the power supply cable. At first, it booted and then died, then wouldn't boot at all, but I heard the fan running. I tried a different power supply, but that wasn't the issue. I took out the single RAM stick and reinserted it, but that didn't fix it, nor did removing and reinstalling the SSD card. Finally, I cleaned the 4Gb RAM stick contacts with some Rodico, popular with the watch repair crowd. That fixed it! The motherboard area was clean, so I have no idea why it would get that way. Maybe some corrosion.
Good day. My Acer laptop keeps on beeping on a single beep patter as soon as I turn it on, then stops when the main window appears already. so as long as it is starting up, that is the duration of the single beep. Is there any way that I can fix this? thank you for your help

I have an ACER Nitro 5, and my laptop randomly does a quick 2 beep (rather beep boop). It started about a week ago. I can't seem to find anything that clearly identifies what is causing this. Any suggestions?
My desktop computer has had a ram problem for 2-3 years. It would cause the screen & sound to completely freeze, making me force shut down, and then everything would work fine until it freezes again (sometimes it happens every 2-3 days, sometimes once a week, sometimes twice a day) I didn't really do much about it because it still worked and I got used to it. But 2 days ago, my PC shut off by itself and it gave me a long, continuous beep. No stops, no nothing. I let it rest for about 3 hours then turned it on again. It worked for about 1 and a half hour then shut off again, with the same beeping sound. Then I let it rest for 12 hours, booted it up again and it worked for like 20 minutes before giving me the blue screen of death "your pc ran into a problem and it needs to restart". Now, as of this moment, I can't even boot it up. Whenever I press the power button I get the long beep so I shut it off. Any idea what could cause this? I know RAM is the main suspect but I just wanna make sure before buying new RAM. My Specs: I7-2600k, RX 580 8GB, 8gb DDR3, 512gb Toshiba SSD.
Does the computer turn off before or after the startup logo screen? You can always test to see if its a RAM issue by performing the first step in this video; ruclips.net/video/u-REPLdpZ70/видео.html

Hi, when I turn on my acer laptop or restart it, it produces beep sounds: beep pause beep pause beep pause and continue in the same pattern until my system starts. So is it a RAM issue or CPU issue?
I just bought a used Acer Nitro 5 laptop and turned it on. It turns on fine, but it gives a single beep every 8 seconds. There is no other pattern to it. Do you have any ideas?

I've an Acer 5 Aspire laptop. It keeps beeping at random intervals - not matter what task I'm performing. The plug-in powerpack is secure and properly plugged in, I've tried running it on battery only and then putting the plug back in once it's run out but the beeps continue. Any advice will be much appreciated.
Hey, I'm so glad I found your channel. I have an HP laptop da0077tx model. It was running fine for a year when it hit a hard drive problem and I decided to just replace it with seagate firecuda SSHD laptop hybrid. I have successfully replaced the old with the new. But when I turned it on, the screen showed read 'no bootable disk found, install one'. I don't know how to install a whole new os onto my brand new empty sshd. What do I do? Edit: I decided to replace the older one as it failed both long and short dst test.
@@PC_Monkey I don't have an install media for Windows. Neither do I have another windows laptop or PC as a support nor usb or disc. When I go onto the boot options, I have one option of boot from EFI file which when I select just leads to an empty screen and another option is the new sshd that I've put which again leads to the 'no bootable' thing 🤷🏻♀️
@@timidsore7933 If you cant make the install media as suggested in that video then you would need to purchase it. Make sure when your buying it that its INSTALL media and not RECOVERY media.
i dont think that anyone will see my comment but : when i flip over my laptop top to open it, it only makes ONE beep noise that is EXTREMELY LOUD..... please help me as i do not want my new laptop to blow up on te first month i bought it
Idk if you’re still responding on this video, but I keep getting one super loud beep, then it goes to a screen that says “hard drive not detected”. I’ve taken the hard drive out multiple times and I can’t find anything wrong with it.
Thanks for this video. My laptop beeps for a while then after a while a message comes as "press F2 for setup" After I press F2 continuously for a while the beeping sound stops. A reboot brings back all that beeping sound. How do I fix it please?
My acer laptop had the wrong charger plugged into and it beeped and then shut off.. now won’t turn back on at all just orange flashing light. It beeps continuously for like idk minutes until it boots. In the black screen, it shows "Insyde H2O EFI 2.0 NB" and the bios thing.. That beep is annoying and it takes too much time before it opens up
Oh. Sorry if I replied a bit late but I think my laptop is fine. I asked my uncle to disable the keyboard. Now, it's not beeping anymore. The problem now is it dies wity no reason... but I think the laptop is just overheating. Thank you for your help!
Would be grateful if you could answer a question. My DELL is older and started saying battery failure, then would go blank “permanent battery failure”. It would still work if I turned off for awhile. Bought a replacement battery from Amazon. Replaced. Now it does not turn on. Long pause at turn on with black screen- followed by 4 beeps, and that continues with small pause in between. Did you purchase a Dell battery or a generic battery? In my experience, generic ones only work about 50% of the time :( 4 beeps usually means a RAM error. Have you tried the RAM test seen here?

I successfully installed Windows 10 21H1 on a very old Acer Aspire 3683nwxci recently (with an upgrade to SSD). After several gruesome trials and errors, I able to get it running almost perfectly. The only thing that bothers me is a long rapid burst of beep that delays the start-up, and it will stop after a while, then loads Windows normally. It happens at every startup. No error code whatsoever. Any idea what how to tackle it?
@@CharlieSharif In my experience, about half of Win7 computers dont work too well with Win10. Glitchy and lots of driver issues. WinXP, I dont even try to install Win10 on those. Sry :(

Interesting. I get what I believe are 3 short beeps (the first seems to phase in. Computer runs fine. I tried upgrading my Celeron G530 for an i3-3240 (both are 1155). I only get the beep errors with the i3. When I put the Celeron back in, everything is fine. RAM is also fine. Using an Acer Z1620 which I resurrected. The beep codes do not match up to a CPU failure unless I am missing something.
Is your power button part of the keyboard? If the issue is with your keyboard, then try uninstalling the driver, restarting the computer and running the updates. If that fails to help, replace the keyboard
Acre e1 531 black screen and beeps. I did get an on screen error about battery awhile ago do you think a replacement battery may fix this issue or just throw it out already??
Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter. Hold the power button down for a minute. Then plug the power adapter back in but leave the battery out. Does the same thing happen when you try to turn on?

Acer Aspire 5050 on startup it gives two long beeps then screen comes on saying "Install windows" "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered and unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation." When i click "OK" nothing happens. ??????

You have an Acer computer? Have you tried the RAM test as seen here? If you think its a Keyboard issue, then you would reseat the Keyboard Ribbon Cable from both ends
I have an Acer Gx-785 desktop, when I turn it on, it shows the Acer logo then beeps once and then goes to a black screen that says "reboot and select the proper boot device or insert boot media in selected device and press a key". There was recently a pretty bad storm, I woke up for work and seen my computer was off so I tried to turn it on and it continuously does this. Please help! This is the only computer in the house that has this problem.
@@PC_Monkey I enabled legacy csm and disabled safe boot. Saved and restarted, now it's stuck on the Acer logo screen. Will not go to Bios or boot menu. When I press the delete key or F12 key to go to either of those, it just says "loading bios" or "loading boot menu" and stays there forever. I've let it sit on that screen for about an hour and a half. No changes. I've watched your video on how to install windows 10 for free onto a USB drive. I ordered a 16gb flash drive from Amazon. But if I can't get into my bios screen, how will I choose which place to boot from? Thank you again for all your help! Much appreciated!

What I meant was like, it would turn on and say Acer but they the screen would stay dark gray, though I remembered it happens multiple time just not for the last year so I was able to fix it, thanks anyways

Sometimes just a short beep when turning on acer, what could it be? Windows startup proceeds normally. I notice that in an interval of 3 days, browsing normally, the computer freezes completely, fine lines fill the entire screen. Only by turning off the machine in this case. I have one single beep during startup. It boots normally tho. I'm here cause my Nvidia discrete graphics card stopped working after driver update and I've tried every single driver fix imaginable and still nothing. And since the beep started after the issue, i though it could be correlated.

My laptop beeps the 2 pattern. It only stops when windows has loaded. Did the ram trick, swapped and placed it on different ports as well but its still beeping.
One of the RAM may be starting to fail as 2 beep pattern often referrers to RAM. Its hard with Acer as they dont have built in diagnostic software. In a repair shop, we would use our own testing equipment but that does not usually help DIY people who dont have it. You can try a BIOS reset as seen here; ruclips.net/video/76I2Ec9K7lw/видео.html. Hi Pc monkey, how re u? All right? Please a question. I have an Acer Aspire One ZG5 and when starting up, it emits short beeps for 10 seconds, without a pattern, then enters normally. The system is old, winxp. It has not received new software, nor physical accidents. On other occasions it does not turn, on and only keeps the first LED on the left lit in orange, and the power LED in green.

I get 3 beep code regardless of ram that put on. I originally had 32GB and I wanted to install an additional 32GB (same brand, same speed). After I installed the 2 new ones I got beep code 92. When I removed the new ram, it would work fine, I then decided to remove the old ram to put the new ones in the slot and now all I get is beep 92. I have an acer predator 09 600. Motherboard supports up to 64GB. Tried different slots, cleared CMOS, cleaned pci slots and i also disconnected all drives to see if post loads. Digital clock on motherboard shows it goes through it steps but then stops at 92 to begin beeping. Also put the original 16GB (2×8GB) the pc came with and still the same thing Beep code 92. Please help if you can.
My Acer aspire 3680 will say Acer go black screen with a blue line 2/3rds of the way of the screen and is continuously ringing pauses then starts the same continuous ringing sound.
Hi. My Acer Aspire laptop won't start. The fan starts for 2 seconds, then something clicks and it shots down. No screen either. I tried the method with the rams. It always happens with a ram in the lower port, but it doesn't with only a ram in the upper port. With a ram in the upper port the power button stays on, but nothing happens. No screen, no fan and no click. What could be the issue? Thank you.

@@PC_Monkey hi yes acer aspire i that was quick :) it turned on earlier with no buzzing but went to pic on screen with no icons. The cursor was working but not clicking on anything. Now it turns on but just makes the long buzzing sound. Maybe something loose? No reason for it as it was Working perfectly before but I haven't used it for a few months

@@PC_Monkey yes I did try that. I figured out what the one continuous beep means. it's having trouble reading the RAM. So I'm gonna try cleaning it and if it still doesn't work I might need to replace my RAM stick.
I have an Acer Aspire x1470 desktop. It beeps 1 time followed by 11 more beeps when it starts up and none of the usb ports work. Front stopped 2 weeks ago all on back stopped 2 days ago. Please help

Hi! I have 2 beeps per second and usually doesnt stop. Sometimes it restarts my laptop and beeps again. I don't have an OS on the laptop ( i was trying to install one ). I only have 1 RAM and switched slot, but it doesn't seem that RAM is the problem since i can access BIOS without issues ( if RAM is connected )
@@sapombelalameck3199 changed the HDD to a SSD and now it works (the laptop is quite old ~ 2013, but it still works today) I also remember that the keyboard had some issues too (I cannot remember specifically, but i think the keyboard was the one that made the laptop beep; i do remember I removed and replaced it).

At first, it booted and then died, then wouldn't boot at all, but I heard the fan running. I tried a different power supply, but that wasn't the issue. I took out the single RAM stick and reinserted it, but that didn't fix it, nor did removing and reinstalling the SSD card. Finally, I cleaned the 4Gb RAM stick contacts with some Rodico, popular with the watch repair crowd. That fixed it! The motherboard area was clean, so I have no idea why it would get that way. Maybe some corrosion.

My desktop computer has had a ram problem for 2-3 years. It would cause the screen & sound to completely freeze, making me force shut down, and then everything would work fine until it freezes again (sometimes it happens every 2-3 days, sometimes once a week, sometimes twice a day) I didn't really do much about it because it still worked and I got used to it. But 2 days ago, my PC shut off by itself and it gave me a long, continuous beep. No stops, no nothing. I let it rest for about 3 hours then turned it on again. It worked for about 1 and a half hour then shut off again, with the same beeping sound. Then I let it rest for 12 hours, booted it up again and it worked for like 20 minutes before giving me the blue screen of death "your pc ran into a problem and it needs to restart". Now, as of this moment, I can't even boot it up. Whenever I press the power button I get the long beep so I shut it off. Any idea what could cause this? I know RAM is the main suspect but I just wanna make sure before buying new RAM.
My Specs: I7-2600k, RX 580 8GB, 8gb DDR3, 512gb Toshiba SSD.

Hello.. my Acer Nitro 5 beeps once after booting up then log-in screen.
I've an Acer 5 Aspire laptop. It keeps beeping at random intervals - not matter what task I'm performing. The plug-in powerpack is secure and properly plugged in, I've tried running it on battery only and then putting the plug back in once it's run out but the beeps continue. Hey, I'm so glad I found your channel. I have an HP laptop da0077tx model. It was running fine for a year when it hit a hard drive problem and I decided to just replace it with seagate firecuda SSHD laptop hybrid. I have successfully replaced the old with the new. But when I turned it on, the screen showed read 'no bootable disk found, install one'. I don't know how to install a whole new os onto my brand new empty sshd. What do I do?

When I go onto the boot options, I have one option of boot from EFI file which when I select just leads to an empty screen and another option is the new sshd that I've put which again leads to the 'no bootable' thing 🤷🏻♀️

Did you purchase a Dell battery or a generic battery? In my experience, generic ones only work about 50% of the time :( 4 beeps usually means a RAM error. Have you tried the RAM test seen here?

I successfully installed Windows 10 21H1 on a very old Acer Aspire 3683nwxci recently (with an upgrade to SSD). After several gruesome trials and errors, I able to get it running almost perfectly. The only thing that bothers me is a long rapid burst of beep that delays the start-up, and it will stop after a while, then loads Windows normally. It happens at every startup. No error code whatsoever. Any idea what how to tackle it?
If your computer was 'very old' Windows 10 may run but may also be glitchy. What OS was the computer running originally?

@@CharlieSharif In my experience, about half of Win7 computers dont work too well with Win10. Glitchy and lots of driver issues. WinXP, I dont even try to install Win10 on those. Sry :(

Interesting. I get what I believe are 3 short beeps (the first seems to phase in. Computer runs fine. I tried upgrading my Celeron G530 for an i3-3240 (both are 1155). I only get the beep errors with the i3. When I put the Celeron back in, everything is fine. RAM is also fine. Using an Acer Z1620 which I resurrected. The beep codes do not match up to a CPU failure unless I am missing something.
The beep codes are not very reliable unfortunately :( If you troubleshooted the CPU as the cause, then it could very well be :)

Is your power button part of the keyboard? If the issue is with your keyboard, then try uninstalling the driver, restarting the computer and running the updates. If that fails to help, replace the keyboard

Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter. Hold the power button down for a minute. Then plug the power adapter back in but leave the battery out. Does the same thing happen when you try to turn on?

Acer Aspire 5050 on startup it gives two long beeps then screen comes on saying "Install windows" "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered and unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation." When i click "OK" nothing happens. ??????

I have an Acer Gx-785 desktop, when I turn it on, it shows the Acer logo then beeps once and then goes to a black screen that says "reboot and select the proper boot device or insert boot media in selected device and press a key". @@PC_Monkey I enabled legacy csm and disabled safe boot. Saved and restarted, now it's stuck on the Acer logo screen. Will not go to Bios or boot menu. When I press the delete key or F12 key to go to either of those, it just says "loading bios" or "loading boot menu" and stays there forever. I've let it sit on that screen for about an hour and a half. No changes. I've watched your video on how to install windows 10 for free onto a USB drive. I ordered a 16gb flash drive from Amazon. Sometimes just a short beep when turning on acer, what could it be? Windows startup proceeds normally. I notice that in an interval of 3 days, browsing normally, the computer freezes completely, fine lines fill the entire screen. Only by turning off the machine in this case. My laptop beeps the 2 pattern. It only stops when windows has loaded. Did the ram trick, swapped and placed it on different ports as well but its still beeping.
One of the RAM may be starting to fail as 2 beep pattern often referrers to RAM. Its hard with Acer as they dont have built in diagnostic software. In a repair shop, we would use our own testing equipment but that does not usually help DIY people who dont have it. You can try a BIOS reset as seen here; ruclips.net/video/76I2Ec9K7lw/видео.html. Hey sir I have an aspire on laptop in first I open my laptop it no beeping sound then I shutdown and wait for few second I open my laptop now the beeping starts then if I don't use my laptop for like 1 to 2 hours I open my laptop now the beeping noise gone again what should I do
What pattern does it beep in? Does the beeping happen during startup or after the computer boots up successfully?

@@PC_Monkey yeah man I tried and nothing happened,but I noticed that, the light from a caps button did not light at first but now there are beeps and 3 lighting patterns of caps button light which are slow and 2 rapid ones and then runs black again waiting around 2 minutes and do it again. I tried all your methods man from this video

Hey, I have an Acer 5680-6048 when start it had 1 long and 2 short beeps. I check the code on the web it said video card problem. Can it be fixed?
If thats the issue then no, not usually. The video card is integrated into the motherboard on most laptops. You would have to replace the motherboard.
I get 3 beep code regardless of ram that put on. I originally had 32GB and I wanted to install an additional 32GB (same brand, same speed). After I installed the 2 new ones I got beep code 92. When I removed the new ram, it would work fine, I then decided to remove the old ram to put the new ones in the slot and now all I get is beep 92. I have an acer predator 09 600. Motherboard supports up to 64GB. Tried different slots, cleared CMOS, cleaned pci slots and i also disconnected all drives to see if post loads. Digital clock on motherboard shows it goes through it steps but then stops at 92 to begin beeping. Also put the original 16GB (2×8GB) the pc came with and still the same thing
Beep code 92. Please help if you can.
My Acer Laptop beeps continuously when the battery is charged for approx 70+, that is irritating. It had never happened before .

My Acer aspire 3680 will say Acer go black screen with a blue line 2/3rds of the way of the screen and is continuously ringing pauses then starts the same continuous ringing sound.

Hi. My Acer Aspire laptop won't start. The fan starts for 2 seconds, then something clicks and it shots down. No screen either. I tried the method with the rams. It always happens with a ram in the lower port, but it doesn't with only a ram in the upper port. With a ram in the upper port the power button stays on, but nothing happens. No screen, no fan and no click. What could be the issue? Thank you.

@@hermannpilatus1415 If all the tests in that video do not reveal the issue, then your most likely looking at a Motherboard replacement.

@@PC_Monkey hi yes acer aspire i that was quick :) it turned on earlier with no buzzing but went to pic on screen with no icons. The cursor was working but not clicking on anything. Now it turns on but just makes the long buzzing sound. Maybe something loose?
No reason for it as it was Working perfectly before but I haven't used it for a few months

If the screen is black, what are the signs the computer is on? Lights? Sounds? Fan?
@@PC_Monkey I have an Aspire 5750G. I tried the test, but still has the continuos beeping. I now try a BIOS reset. Is that ok? :) I Try to remove all the screws but I have problems with the Disk Drive, nice of you to reply this fast :)

I have dell laptop inspiron 15 3000 and the other day while I was using it , it said locking and shut off and now when I try and turn it back on it beeps once and does not turn on do you have any suggestions

@@PC_Monkey yes I did try that. I figured out what the one continuous beep means. it's having trouble reading the RAM. So I'm gonna try cleaning it and if it still doesn't work I might need to replace my RAM stick.

I have an Acer Aspire x1470 desktop. It beeps 1 time followed by 11 more beeps when it starts up and none of the usb ports work. Front stopped 2 weeks ago all on back stopped 2 days ago. Please help
None of the USB ports work. Does that mean the computer starts up and works well except for the USB ports not working and the start-up beeping?

If that fails to help, you may need a motherboard replacement :( I assume all the USB ports are part of the motherboard.
Hello! I tried cleaning my rams in my desktop pc. It does long beeps every few seconds and I can't seem to figure out why it's not working.

Other than the beeping, Are there any signs of life at all? Lights? Fan, Motherboard, or Hard Drive sounds?
Hi! I have 2 beeps per second and usually doesnt stop. Sometimes it restarts my laptop and beeps again.
I don't have an OS on the laptop ( i was trying to install one ).
I only have 1 RAM and switched slot, but it doesn't seem that RAM is the problem since i can access BIOS without issues ( if RAM is connected )
I'm having the same challenge ..
@@sapombelalameck3199 changed the HDD to a SSD and now it works (the laptop is quite old ~ 2013, but it still works today)
I also remember that the keyboard had some issues too (I cannot remember specifically, but i think the keyboard was the one that made the laptop beep; i do remember I removed and replaced it).
