    Good stuff and thanks for sharing, very straight forward too. Only question I have is, you mentioned you have a trailer and I was curious to know if you also have to put chains on those tires and/or on one set of tires for dual axle trailers? Much appreciated!

    Out the chains on before you get stuck. Some vehicles don't have enough clearance in the wheel well to use chains, so think about that before you buy a set of chains that won't fit. If you can't use chains, get a set of studded snow tires.

    Great video! Thank You Sir! I don't have the bungie cord, have you run them without them before?

      You could, but I wouldn't recommend it. At the very least run to harbor freight and buy a set of Bungie Cords. You want the chains to stay tight as possible

    I have some vbar chains and they are way too close to the shock. stock size is 275/55R20 (10.8" wide) factory wheels. The tires in the video are 275 (10.8 as well) - Nice video and to the point. Just wanted to stress, using small light duty chain or cables on f150's is the only way to go. The shock is way too close and even ladder or regular chain is iffy.. Cables will be no problem but disappointing f150 dont have clearance for vbar or even most chain.

    It’s always best practice to put on all 4 wheels even in 2wd.

      Absolutely. All 4 is best, but TECHNICALLY... you arent supposed to put these chain on the front, only cables. So I didnt want to show me doing that

    Why can’t you put the chains in the front? My truck is slipping all over the place so I need to put them on up here in Big bear. U fortunately I don’t have 4wd.

    • @TruckStuff1
      @TruckStuff1  Год назад

      Most truck manufacturers don't recommend the front because the chains can hit a lot of components like brake and vacuum lines when the wheels turn. You could potentially run some class S cables but that would be as far as I'd push it. Your manual will tell you what is recommended

      You need all 4 tires in chains. Think about it. Roads bad enough you need chains so you’d leave two wheels slick?? Don’t believe me just google it
