@@Private289 thank you buddy that's very kind. Trust me when I tell you this you can, it's not to difficult all you need is a heat gun, scissors and patience 🙌
@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe I always liked the look of them. They aged well, considering they've barely changed since 2005. And they hold their value even now.
Think I'm gonna dechrome my grey xc90, but personally think it would be easier starting from the back of the door on a straight line, having the bulk of the wrap down and bend the smaller length last. Thank you for the inspiration to do mine
@@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe Gotta watch your carbon clean of the swirl flaps next see if I can be bothered haha I've also been looking at body kits but will wait so I don't buy the same one as yours
The biggest problem was the EGR valve. It's trying to get the metal clamp off the back. Choose which body kit you like buddy as we won't clash. Can't say just yet as you will see in my next video.
@@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe I've subscribed as you're the first person Ivr seen doing what I wanted to do, funnily enough when I bought mine, I was looking up how to do some of the work and it turned out my cars already a RUclips star haha

Hello buddy thank you for the comment. Yes I did take off the mirror which was very easy. From memory you take off the door car and let it hang then it's one nut holding it on.
The second attempt at the r/n/s window surround made a real difference and elevated the job from 'meh' to 'wow'. Nice work!
Thank you buddy that's what I thought after doing the nsf there is no way I could leave it like that.
Love content like this, can’t wait to see what else you have in store!
Thanks buddy stay tuned as a hole lot has changed.
Loving the Volvo and what your doing I especially like the wrap I’m tempted to do some myself.
Sorry for the late reply Jon. Thank you for the comment. I am glad you enjoyed the video. Go for it it's not that difficult just time and patience.
Great job man, I wish I would have skills like you, I would do my XC90's black out

Came out better than i thought it would.
Yeah I was surprised. It was a subtle mod but made a huge difference.

Nice job! I will debadge my 2.5T very soon, it looks very clean on your car.
Yeah it does give it a different look. All it takes is subtle changes that can mate it look hugely different.

Your welcome I am glad it has helped 😁. It is just a subtle modification but it just really improves the look.

Any more news with the XC90? As an owner myself, I've been waiting for another update
@@idontgetit3739 ow sorry buddy I sold the xc90 nearly a year ago.
Looking good been thinking about covering the crome on my black s80
I am glad I did to my old xc90 as it changed the look just by doing that. It takes time don't get me wrong but we'll worth it.
I'm sorry if someone else has asked this but where did you get the volvo badge? I was thinking of trying to wrap mine 😂
@@danielles-cakes-pershore I got it off ebay 😊
Dechroming the doors looks great. Which vinyl wrap did you use and what size?
Thanks
So all I did was look up Dechroming wrap on ebay and bought some. I think they normally only come in one size. Width wise.

@@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe I bet it was the blacked out chrome window trim which sealed the deal!

Looks great, did you have to take the wing mirrors off (and how difficult was it to do that?)

What wrap were you using?
I'm not sure on brand it was just some gloss black dechroming wrap off ebay.
I love my v8 xc!!
Love the progress, what bodykit are you planning to use?
Ow I am sorry mate I ended up selling the xc90. I was offered a price I couldn't refuse. But they are great cars and I would recommend one.
