Hey bro thanks for the info. I'm looking at eventually getting on with ABF. I have 10 yrs exp all endorsements and twic I dis stop at terminal once they weren't hiring but hopefully in the near future they will in the Jax FL area. Thanks again for your video info
2nd week in Fontana doing the ddp, loving it so far
Hey brother,
I'm transitioning out of the Army and will be attending the 6 week program for ABF in July. I'm so glad I found your channel, I had my own thoughts and ideas about it. A good part of my family drove truck for years and I had heard all the horror stories about companies that do their own training and having a family I was concerned about home time. I honestly feel blessed to have this opportunity.
I love the channel and the content, keep it up man!
Nice bro!!! Email me! I’ll give you my number
Here comes another yellow guy, starting Wednesday. Change can be scary when you’ve been somewhere so long. Having to learn the differences in technology mainly. The rest is pretty much the same as my old job. Looking forward to a place that appreciates its employees!
I almost made the mistake of joining Schneider National Intermodal. Thank God, I say your videos.
I’m glad you didn’t go there. Man you’d be kicking your own a$$ everyday
Hello. I just got hired at Tforce. Kind of similar company. I am going to work my way up from PD to LTL. Is this a good gig. I've been part of a union before and wanted to know more about the teamsters. 46 and trying to retire before 65. How is the pay and is their steady work?
My advice go to stater brothers or ups bro. Us foods is also a good gig and Sysco.
Work definitely isn’t steady. That owner is looking to downsize. Also the pension isn’t anything like stater or these other places brother. Email me.
@@MrByTheMile Thank you for taking your precious time to reply to me. It is much appreciated. I will definitely email you. Happy Holidays to you and your family
What if I have 25 years experience but right now don't have hazmat?
I just apply for ABF in Connecticut, Orange I hope I get in that will be a blessing to start their for the year
I quit my previous trucking job at Werner. I’m with Crystal springs water now. Didn’t want to drive otr or tractor trailer. So now I’m driving a cdl b truck with an A license. Two years of cdl experience I’d recommend finding a cdl b job if possible
That’s awesome. But driving a B truck with that A license won’t increase your pay. Furthermore, I can understand not wanting to do OTR but why not tractor trailers? I’m just interested in knowing your reason.
@@eurostep2530 simply put I’m getting the same if not more money. To deliver water to customers home every day. 5am-2pm daily 20-40 stops. No need to worry about my load or drive time. Still full time with benefits and starting at 27/hr. Don’t get me wrong it’s alit of work carrying the water everywhere but at least I’m not treated like a number. This company is very respectful and understanding.
@@NO_ID94 I’m very happy for you bro stay blessed my man
@@eurostep2530 thanks bro
Awesome bro. What do they top your pay out at? And is it teamsters?
Is ABF Freight better than FedEx Freight City/Road Driver job, or maybe UPS/T-Force Freight City Driver? Also, thinking of joining ABF Freight in Avenel, NJ. They have the City Driver/Driver Development program.
ABF definitely better option. More opportunity to defend your cdl with ABF for sure. Not to mention all the paid time off.
@@MrByTheMile I really enjoy your videos. I am an ABF retiree. (ABQ) I never worked the dock or hostled. My gig was linehaul and I loved it.
@@Musictroper76 awesome! Send me an email I’d like to ask you about it
Did you start at Avenel yet?
Did you get the job in avenel nj?
Is the dock work as ruff as Sisco, us foods or pfg?
Do they do urine test?
I sign up for the Anaheim abf facility
But they really go threw a deep background check of employment that’s the only issue .
Are you city driver or line haul how many hours do you get a week do y’all work weekends ? abf was taken for ever they want me to start next week circle k fuel tanker want me to start tomorrow am so confused on what to go for right now😡 circle k schedule is crazy for me 2pm to 1am or 4pm to 3am 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I am linehaul now. Making good money. Plus pension and free health care. It’s up to you
@@MrByTheMile is the linehaul any night?? And are you off weekend ?
My two cents. If you haul fuel for CK you will make $2400+ "net" per week. Hours aren't bad, but sometimes you have to wait on truck. You how some drivers NEVER bring the truck back on time. Good Luck!
I would apply for abl, but I have no experience. I’m going to have to do food service. 🤦🏽♂️
Nope! ABF has schooling as long as you get your learners permit and three endorsements
When they do drug screenings, do they also do hair samples other than a urine test? Or just the urine test?
Hair, urine and blood
Brotherhood of cry babies
Comments without faces or names are just comments. Nothing to see here. You’ll be buried one day and no one will speak of or even know your name. Sad
Does everyone start on the dock or can I just do the CDL training program?
We all start off with dock work
@@El.Pelavacas_Van-Lines Not necessarily. If you go linehaul, you will never touch the dock.
@@Musictroper76 Some bases don’t have long haul
I got 19yrs experience if i do city p&d will i have to work the dock?
Yes.
@@MrByTheMile ok thanks
Does anf hire felons I have been a law abiding citizen for the past 10 years
You might have a chance. Email me
@@MrByTheMileI have a non violent felony low class in ny 5 years ago I filled out the application and they called me for an interview. Hope they hire me
Cool, 2nd week of school for me. I think I will just work for a mega carrier to gain experience.
3 years exp with mega carrier here. Decided i need to get into a long term role that actually makes financial sense, really appriciate your vids. I’m going to drop you an email as id like to apply. I’m currently out of FL
Looking forward to your email. Lots of jobs with ABF there in Miami, and some other locations
Just got an interview for a Miami spot. Curious what the pay is since they didn’t say.
