    Totally agree with you with regards to the salt water crossing. Only allowed to touch the rubber of the tyres.

    Hey, looking at the same van but with a dunny for the Mrs model. Any regrets going from the Dove to that? I have a Dove also and tow into Bendethra with it annually. Need a van we can still go decent places now the tin lids aren’t coming along. Cheers

      Yes mate, we are very happy with the Expanda, Offroad it performs well, a little taller so watching now for branches etc, I feel the bed is the same length, but what ive noticed is getting in and out of the bed there is actually less room, head height wise, may affect you at your height.. I recommend you go inspect one...Cheers Alec

    What’s your ball weight? Rear axle rating and what gvm upgrade did you go? All under?

      @TeamBulletOffroad  2 года назад +1

      That set up I had 175KG ball weight with a 700kg constant rear spring and a 3850GVM, yes all under

    are you still running the 12 inch fox shocks? if so who made the custom bump stops ? id love to set mine up like that

    • @TeamBulletOffroad
      @TeamBulletOffroad  3 года назад

      Yep, still running the fox, the bumpstops were a successful experiment, done in house by a clever friend.... Also a great mechanic... Send me a text on my page and ill see what can be done. facebook.com/Team-Bullet-100204266695954

    why so slow, that is slower than anything i have ever done or seen and I haven't had any major mechanical failures in 25 years

    • @TeamBulletOffroad
      @TeamBulletOffroad  3 года назад +1

      You have had 25 years experience of crossing salt water crossings, camping in that region for 2-4 weeks without access to fresh water to clean affected wet areas? No rusty brakes, callipers, inner guards, slave cylinders? Wow, your truck should be a super hero....
      Seriously though, the quicker you go through the salt water, the more it wets, I've seen trucks brakes seize in here, alternates stop charging, starters not turn, after 24 hours.....
      Its kryptonite to trucks.
      You may be referring to fresh water, where I too have crossed well up my windscreen....
      Thanks for your comments

      Drecnh I cross both but have never had an issue. I’m not saying good or bad I was just interested in why because I hadn’t seen that speed before. I do ensure I clean properly and use inox etc

      @@isitfoggy8479 All good,.... Ive had my issues over the years so keeping as much of the salt out is my highest priority.... They don't make trucks like they used to.....
