    Learn how to bleed the brakes on a Yamaha ATV in this video from Partzilla.com. Does your brake lever or pedal feel spongy? Sometimes, a brake bleed can be a way to fix the problem. Like other fluids on your ATV, brake fluid will break down over time. It’s hygroscopic, which means it will absorb moisture from the air. And if you feel like your brakes a losing responsiveness, this can be the cause. Old brake fluid will change the feel of your brakes, but it also looks different, too. New fluid is clear, old fluid can look like a flat Coke.
    Follow along as we perform a brake bleed on our Yamaha YFZ450R. We’ll start up front by opening the master cylinder and then opening a relief valve on the caliper to let the old fluid out as we add new fluid in back at the top of the system. We’ll perform the same procedure on both sides, and then move to the back, where the master cylinder on the YFZ450 is located under the seat.

      We don't work on customer units. Partially insurance reasons, partially production timelines.

    I have a 2007 yfz450 special edition I think it had the same breaks. I watch the other video for the brake pads and this one for the blade it should be the exact same correct? I’m doing mine this coming sunday

    I replaced my rear brake pads and drained it almost completely out if not all the way out... i put brake fluid in it and they're not engaging at all... is it because there's air in the system or cause the parking brake i removed?

    IT IS THE SAME PROCESS AS THE YAMAHA RAPTOR 350? I. GOT AN 07 THAT IT'S GIVING ME PROBLEM WITH THE REAR BRAKES. I GO NEW PADS NEW OIL AND STILL DON'T HOLD FOR SOME REASON.

    • @PartzillaParts
      @PartzillaParts  6 лет назад

      While technically different, it should be the same basic concept. Generally it just requires more bleeding.

    **PLEASE HELP**
    Hi to whomever is reading
    When ever I pull my front break, my rear break pushes out and kind of counteracts the rear break. And vice versa. Why?! I bled the breaks there’s no air in there. Please help I can’t find anything online - maybe I’m not wording it correctly.
    Thanks in advance!

      The systems are not linked. One should not affect the other. So maybe the way you are describing it is not clear?

      Partzilla Thanks for the reply. On my quad the system is linked, or seems to be..they meet up in the middle with a third valve you can bleed.
