    My apologies! Let me correct my original statement. The front brakes bleed as they normally would successfully. It's the back brakes that do not bleed as per statement below. Thanks.

    Having trouble bleeding my brakes on a 2012 Grizzly 700 , for some reason I just can't get them to get any pressure ? I'm referring to the rear brakes that is .

    After installing a completely new caliper and new brake pads for the front left and right. As well as replacing the rear pads. Now I can’t move my 08 grizzly 660 when it’s in neutral. What might I have done wrong?

    I've seen and I am experiencing the same issue that Robert and Nathan mentioned below.
    The brakes bleed as per normal and work well, but the back brakes do not seem to bleed properly and remain soft, if not immediately they definitely soften over a long ride. I've searched and seen lots of forums on this with the 700 Grizzly's. Any tricks to correct this, or typical system parts that are diagnosed as the problem?
    Thanks in advance!

    Is there a different master cylinder for the rear brakes?

      Yes.

      Yes it’s on a grizzly 660 by the front right tire down low. In fact I think it’s lower then the rear caliper making it more difficult to bleed

    I normally work on mowers, but am taking in a few ATV's. This Yamaha I just took in for a carburetor replacement, and now a rear brake job. The location of the vin number (left front frame, in fenderwell) has rubbed so much there's no ID left. Is there another way to ID this mower? Customer says it's a 2012.

      @@darrell5363 Same here. IDK what's with these 700 Grizzly rear brake systems. Very difficult to set up once maintenance is completed. Mine still get soft over a day of riding and aren't great when cool either. Any hints or corrective actions would be greatly appreciated.

    Pressed the rear brake down while the caliper was off the rotor. Is bleeding the brakes the only way to get them back open?

    • @christopherbassit2757
      @christopherbassit2757 2 года назад

      You need to push the piston back into the caliper. Use a vise clamp

    doesn't yama have two brake fluid reservoirs...? you did not mentioned which you are using or maybe one on each side....little more details would be great...

    • @curth3671

      There are two reservoirs. One for front brakes and one for rear. Right side is for front and left side is for rear.
