Flying my FPV drone in the beautiful Westfjords, Iceland! On my way back to the city I flew a couple of times with my FPV drone, here is the vlog from the trip!
On the 27th when I was driving back to the city I filmed Part 2, there I did some flights around the south-western part of the Westfjords (Önundafjörður, Dýrafjörður & Dynjandi in Arnar fjörður)

I love the area around Siglufjörður. Camped there for a few days in 2022.

Each flight is more spectacular than the last. That waterfall segment had me holding breath at the beauty you captured. I couldn't handle the cold like you do. (And you didn't need all that wind.. it just takes what little warmth there was right out your lungs!) Your country seems to have an endless supply of stunning vistas! Looking forward to you (and your drone) showing us more!!
Dear Isak, thank you very much for the absolutely breathtaking pictures again...they put a smile on my face :-) These pictures and the music make me believe I'm flying over this wonderful landscape myself :-) simply fantastic... Add to that the cold!! Hats off to you!!! I would have frozen to death already hahahaha.... ;-)

No we are a bit below it here. But yes hahah!😅 I was not really dressed properly, did not want to get to hot on my drives inbetween places, should have worn longsocks for sure.
That was spectacular footage, Isak. Though, I especially loved the Zippy bloopers. Glad he wasn't hurt from the minor crashes. Too,thrilled to see you purchased some warming gloves. Looking at all that snow, I can't complain about the 37 degrees Fahrenheit I woke up to this morning. Thank you for taking us through such beautiful, rugged scenery. Truly, a whole other world.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Yes I felt that it was must to show the bloopers aswell, It was so unusual, I could not belive how much the gloves where affecting the controles, Zippy can handle alot more than these minor crashes.
Fantastic videos. Incidentally, I used to have a mitt which held both my remote control AND my hands. A plastic window in the top of the mitt allowed my to see my controls. Lovely and cosy when flying in the winter! Keep them coming!

Just awesome. Thank you for heading out in the cold to get the footage so that we can sit in the cosy warm comfort of our homes 😂😂. The drive home was a bit scary. Still can’t get over the free charging station in the (relative) middle of nowhere!!!

All that snow and Ice makes me fell so cool in Sunny hot Australia such beautiful drone footage, it does make me feel a little strange at times with the speed it zooms along mountain tops and spins around

Weeeee! We need more of that! I'm already considering a Trip to Iceland. I just can't decide between summer for the hikes or the winter for Ice and the aurora borealis. Wait... you don't wear socks in this cold?!
I would start with summer if I was you, just to make sure you get at least decent weather😅
It would really suck to go on a trip here and not be able to enjoy the travels due to terrible winter weather😞
You also have to see the fall, nice colors and long sunsets!
Yes I do wear socks😅 I just happened to wear shorter socks, (simular to heel socks) didn’t really think it trough before I packed my bag hahah!

Absolutely breathtaking! The videography, the music, landscape, waterfalls. And those fast drops off the mountain. So awesomely fun! I could have kept watching and didnt want it to end. Please keep making these kinds of videos. You are so talented! Genius. You need gloves with the finger tips cut off so your hands and fingers stay warmer. Thanks for taking us on this adventure.

I love the West Fjords. Spent many weeks in a tiny village there; and it’s one of my favourite places in all of Iceland.
Lucky you! There is just something about the small villages over there, so nice.
@@IcelandFPVlucky indeed: the village is so small it’s scarcely on a map. I would live there forever if I could. Tiny as it is, there is still a pool a few km away in the next village over. :-D. (Þingeyri).

I Know, the Diamond Beach is far away from Reykjavik but when you have to do somethink in the Near, it is a Great Place and it would be Nice when you Can Make a fly over the Beach… sorry for my bad english, i Hope you understand me😊

Amazing, I also really enjoyed some of the journey footage (the bridge where you nearly got stuck), you're a real adventurer. I didn't think the car would be much good there, but it seems no bother (I guess you have studded tyres?)
Wow! Beautyful and very impessive pictures! I havent been to iceland, but it on my bucket list before i get too old. But as a connection to iceland i have a 30year old icelandic horse, which always reminds me i have to go there.

I actually had a full body snowsuit in the car, I just didnt feel like driving in it, was loosing sunlight so I was in a hurry😅 I deffineteley should have dressed better!🥶

Wow! That waterfall looks amazing! Can you climb it too? I mean some sort of roadway for pedestrians?
It’s such a beatuiful area! There is a pathway to walk all the way from the parkinglot up to the main waterfall, but not ontop of it.
It’s fairly easy and a couple of beautiful waterfalls on the way, if you Google Dynjandi, you should be able to see the walkingpath during summer.

Cant fly much slower with an FPV drone there, would have to use a different drone, in youtube settings you can change video to 0.5 or 0.75 speed, even slower since it’s in 50fps, maybe that helps🙂

A great video Isak, stunning scenery :) Do your FPV goggles give you the same feeling as we get looking at it in HD on an iPad and desktop?
Thanks Gerald! Using the goggles gives you alot more immersive experience, makes you feel more like you are inside of the drone flying, no distractions.
For FPV drones that is very important, because minior distraction or mistake at that speed can be expensive.

Please tell me: Which drone did you use ? And have you used ND FILTERS? Sometimes became Very bright…. But was beautiful actually… i felt like heaven.
Thanks! Using the Chimera 2 from iFlight & DJI Action 4. I did not use ND filters that day becuse sometimes it would have gotten a bit to dark, tricky to fly during that time of the year.
Wicked footage. What were the pink-orange lights coming down the waterfall at 11:46?
Well spoted! I only noticed it when I was editing the video, it seems to be where they cut-off the access, like an orange security band so that people dont go any further.

Hahaha yes it’s so tough to fly with gloves on, each millimeter on the controller affects the flying, so minor changes on fingers do alot.
I hope in the future I can do these FPV flights & travels on a live stream for the members, ultimate exitement😅
