  • Most patients can be effectively treated with observation alone for spontaneous improvement or with steroids.
However, in more severe cases, or if an underlying disease is present, more advanced therapies may need to be considered.

after the course of solumedrol, at what point do you decide whether to proceed to other therapies like plasmapharesis, IV Ig or biologics if you're vision hasn't come back after the course of solumedrol?

Im on day 5 of covid and a few days ago i had extreme pain along the sides of face, then that dimmed down and i developed a blind spot in my right eye just below the center of vision. My lymph nodes in front of my right ear and on the right side of my neck below the jaw are also sore.

    Oh my god. I
Don’t know officially know which virus it was, but about a week week n half ago I thought I caught a cold cause I heard everyone was getting a cold. But I had it for few days.(the flu like symptoms.) as I recovered from the “cold” I start lose my hearing and I’m freaking out. So I talk to my neurologist ask her if that has to do with my NMO or MS. FYI I’m diagnosed with both. She refers me to audiology first visit finds out it’s because of the “cold”(virus). But losing hearing is possible in NMO? I thought I saw that when I researched it.

Hello there. Somehow I lost most of the side of my optic nerve in an accident.. hitting my head when I.
I did have 3 days of steroids which brought back about 15% . I'm wondering if it's a simple blood clot that Serraeptase might get out? Any other ideas Dear,,?
