I’m commitment phobic but I might marry the Bilt Card, it treats me well. I think it’s one of the best dinning cards out there. 3x Bilt Points, Rent Day double points, Bilt Dinning Multipliers and possible Rent Day Transfer Bonuses.
@@CallMeLanione of the problems with Bilt is that their program is complicated, especially to get the maximum value out of it. People get really scared, confused and overwhelmed when it comes to credit cards and banking (broad generalization). They’re happy with a 2% double cash card or venture-x. Bilt is my daily driver, catchall, etc. At the end of the year I’ll have a much higher return on my spend than the Double Cash or VentureX. It won’t even be close, especially if I cash in on a Rent Day Transfer Bonus. I think the Bilt Card pairs really well with the Citi Premier’s 3x categories and Citi’s transfer partners - I figure that one of Citi’s transfer partners is where I’m probably going to get a Rent Day Transfer Bonus that I’m going to take for 100%-150%. I’ll focus my spend on that partner after I take the bonus. I also don’t rent and I get tremendous value out of Bilt.
Overall depends on the overall goal/purpose you want to get out of your card(s). In terms of the topic of the video. The Chase Freedom Cards are a good start, or the BILT MasterCard which is a great $0 annual fee card and a travel card. What are you looking for? Subscribe and stay in touch. Happy to help
@@CallMeLani Sorry it’s a little off topic of the video. Really just looking for the best card to build points to get a free flight / hotel here and there if I want to go on a trip. BILT doesn’t make sense because there’s a fee at my apt complex for paying with card, otherwise I would’ve chosen it. Don’t mind a small annual fee if it leads to more benefits
@@j-hall7000 the BILT card waves the fee if you pay with the card. It also gives you bank account numbers if you want to go that route. You get the points either way
Lani, amazing video as usual 🔥 Over the last year I just really moved into the higher annual fee cards. I prefer no to low annual fees, especially if I’m not using card as much. I don’t want to feel obligated since card has annual fee.
One of my first jobs in the very early 2000’s we had an imprinter for embossed CCs in case our (I assume slow dial up) internet went down. Of course back then people carried alot of cash & most people still carried check books, so even the few times the internet was down the vast majority of people used those methods instead of their CC. Now, those machines are virtually gone, so the CC companies really need to get rid of the embossed cards 🙂. Great video as usual 👍🏽.
Been a big fan of the Bilt card. Its an easy way for us to rack up over 50k points per year. And we have gold status so we actually moved 50k points to flying blue during a promotion and get 125% bonus. So just by paying rent we got 115k flying blue points. Unreal value
@CallMeLani The PayPal MasterCard has been in my to 5 card for years. And now my Penfed Pathfinder card is top 5 for me too. No annual fee, Global Entry and an Annual $100 Airline credit!
There's a wide variety of great no AF cards on the market. And I agree for the long term..the best part being that they dont cost you a dime, and even if ur not using em they will help with age.
United shopping portal question.. if I use my chase freedom unlimited on a website/app that has elevated United miles will I still get the United miles or do I need to use my United card for the purchase?

This is very true. Good video, Lani.

BILT is a highly underrated card that gets overshadowed as a "rent only" card. I really enjoy my BILT card. Thanks for watching, Keith!

Great stuff Lani!!! No AF cards can certainly be powerful for sure.
Absolutely, Jon!!
What card would you suggest for a fresh college grad? I have a good credit score

Appreciate it, Tasha! Yeah I like not feeling the constraints with having these types of cards
🔥🔥Longevity is key to this! Love the video
How many $0 AF cards do you have?
Thanks, Key! I think I have 6-7 $0 cards
I love $0 annual fee cards. So easy to justify applying for them even if you only get a little bit of value out of them
Totally agree!

Good stuff.
I get great value out of a lot of no annual fee cards. Actually most of them. Most people probably only need no annual fee cards.
For real! The $0 ones seems to be some of the best earners currently

I could've used that PayPal Card this week for a merchant that doesn't take Amex (in the US🤣)
