I am a pretty skinny kid but I’m just wide (my shoulders/waist are further out for some reason) and I got a 50 inch waist I’m really hoping they fix this because I was planning to go a little after opening

I would guess they would adjust for the American one. Japanese are smaller on average so they probably didn’t consider people being bigger than that.

Yes and different regions around the world have different body standards the US does have some pretty large standards the most actually comes from people being overweight not obese but say if Super Mario World Around the Globe only made rides that were designed to fit the Japanese populous people would be upset because many people would not be able to the rides you should taylor it for the region that the park is going to be in. Maybe you don't go Overkill but make it at least a little bit above the average for the region so 41 inch waist diameter instead of 40

Nintendo has to adjust for American inflation.
It actually is a lot more than 40 inches. It can be around 60, universal out 40 to avoid people wanting refunds or lawsuits. Universal does this with all of their attractions. I have ridden Bowser’s Challenge and the seats are very big and accommodating, especially the back row.

@@Joker3180Z It will be opening in Orlando in summer 2025, along with the third theme park in the Universal Orlando Resort, Epic Universe! This version will be huge. It will have Mario Kart, the Yoshi ride, and a DK mine cart rollercoaster that will make the illusion of jumping the track! The DK ride is also under construction in Japan. The Orlando version will have wider pathways compared to the Japan version, as Universal has much more room to work with. I would recommend visiting the Orlando version when it opens as it will be much larger than the Hollywood one!
Looks like Bowser, DK, Wario and co wont be able to use this ride, ouch

Crazy story, I went to Super Nintendo world with my mom and little sister and decided to wait in line for the bowser’s challenge mario kart ride (3 hour wait btw) after waiting 2 hours and 30 mins my mother suddenly goes “guys I’m going to pass out” she was getting a big head ache and was stressing in the corner I didn’t know what to do and we got separated from the doors to the main ride. My mom got help and she’s fine :)
With a statistic such as waist size, average does not necessarily mean most Americans won't be able to ride this ride. With the lower bounds for adult males sitting in the high 20s, there's not a lot of room for low numbers to drastically offset higher numbers of the heavier set people in the country. For something like this, median would probably be a more appropriate data point

I recently got the amazing experience to ride this in Hollywood with my family, and despite my mom, uncle, and aunt having larger waists, they all had no trouble fitting in the back seats of the ride!
My waist is 28 inches :))))

I rode Bowsers Fury no problem last weekend. Waistline is a little more than 41".
With everything in the theme park community either they make rides that fit obese people but not super skinny or short people or they make rides that short and skinny people can ride then the same problem lies deep within they should make unisex and uni people rides with double sized belts to hold bigger or smaller people is the true anwser

As an overweight person. It annoys me how some fat people think the rest of the world should bend to their shape. Sorry, we are not normal sized. Be as happy in your skin as you want, but sometimes things like this happen as a result. I wouldn’t fit in this ride, and that is no one’s fault but mine
Honestly, I think it should stay this way because the truth of the matter is that a large portion of the US population is just unhealthy. I’m not going to bully a theme park into spending a ton of money (adjusting the carts) to accommodate people who can afford to live healthier. I’m all about body positivity, and I know there are people that do have unique conditions, but for the most part People need to stop and realize maybe it’s not the company being “toxic”.

It's the only real ride in Super Nintendo World. It takes like 4 hours to get on the ride. So I'd say thehave several big problems.
