For those wondering about the "lizard boy" commercial: The whole thing was a parody of supermarket tabloids and the absurd claims they made, the premise being that being able to get Super Mario All-Stars for free is as unbelievable as, say, a half-lizard child running around.
There’s like actually a pretty interesting thing about how American dairy corporations made so many commercials like the one Peebs watched here, because they just bought up and stockpiled literally so much milk and had to find ways to sell it. You know those studies that say milk makes your bones stronger? They were funded by dairy corporations in order to make milk seem healthier to public, and therefore they could make more profits off milk. It’s just this crazy rabbit hole. Something similar happened with corn syrup I think.

Remember back in the day when you went to Toys R Us and they had their games section. You took a ticket from under the game you wanted (if there were none, it was sold out) and you took the ticket over to a counter to give it to a person who would go into the back room to get the game for you.
Yes, I used to work in the games section of Toys R Us, and I would handle the tickets and give out the games to people from the booth they had. It was a fun job.

13:22 I LOVED that commercial as a kid, even if I didn't own Super Mario 64 (but my cousin had it). To be fair Got Milk was all over the place and many celebrities had commercials or magazine ads about it (live action and animated). I even have a book about them from the library, mostly because of this commercial.
