I worked in a major grocery store for 23 years and those dates on products are "store dates " only..so as long as the vacuum seal isn't busted that cheese will still stay fresh a long time past the "store date " .all dates on products are "store dates " not home dates ..

Besides what we eat fresh, I also supply our mom , give some to the neighbor who helped build the hen house and still have enough to start selling come January. Plus freezer egg muffins, breakfast burritos, quiches, etc.

Becky. Buy the gallon of maple syrup! I live in NY in the heart of maple syrup country. It can be frozen in smaller amounts if you don’t want to keep a gallon container in your fridge. I freeze mine in quart mason jars. It lasts forever (which isn’t too long in my house) and it doesn’t change the flavor at all.

I know I'm late to the game, but you should try coconut oil masks once a week! I scoop it out of the jar and later it onto my dry hair, alllllllll over! You can put your hair up in a clip or leave it down while wearing a t-shirt you don't care about. I like to leave it in overnight and just lay something down on my pillow. Wash it out the next morning. Coconut oil is really good for your hair.

@@robertlavigne6560chocolate bombs are made for making hot cocoa. You make two half circles of melted chocolate by painting the chocolate into a half round mold and letting it get hard, then filling it with hot chocolate mix, marshmallows, whatever mix ins. Then you heat the edge of chocolate and put the "lid" on which makes a perfect circle.
It's fine, and gets easier the more you do it, but you do need a half ball shaped mold

I recently watched the video where you tripled a batch of pull apart bread. I am sure someone else pointed this out but I was watching on my tv and could not check the comments. I just wanted to mention that one should not double or triple the yeast when doubling or tripling a bread recipe. I learned this a long time ago when I doubles a recipe in my bread machine…blew the top right off, well almost. Lol When I double a recipe, I add less than one quarter of additional yeast. When tripling, I add an additional half or less of the original amount of yeast. Hope this is helpful. I really enjoy your videos.

Just made your Pumpkin Italian Sausage Pasta. We loved it. My husband claims he doesn’t like pumpkin, but when he started eating, I told him it had pumpkin in it. He is now a believer. He loved it! Thanks for sharing your recipes.

I have just started using powder and not the plastic pods because I’m pretty sure the plastic was leaving a film all over my dishwasher (and likely also on my dishes!!). The first run w the powder already looked better. I’m never going back to throwing a “melting” plastic in my dishwasher.

Olds the rules says to wash the glass containers before stocking again. Overtime humidity can build and organic matters grow. Consider Refreshing your glass bottles l, drying them with a towel or air dry, specially to preserve.

Thank you! I was animately saying “wash those first!” over and over. There are natural oils in things as well, and oils go rancid. By not washing out the jars one runs the risk of contaminating, and ruining, their new stock

Also, freezing chocolate chips makes them last 10x longer. Same with coffee. We put store bought coffee grounds into a freezer safe air tight container with two cut open vanilla beans and scoop directly into the coffee basket.

Get a gallon of syrup. There is a way to reprocess it into quart jars and then you can have it for the year as a shelf stable staple

You can freeze maple syrup. My local maple syrup producer told me to freeze and just let thaw for a few minutes on counter before pour off what I need. Put the rest back in freezer. The real stuff never goes bad, if too gets mold just scrape it off the reboil.

That’s a great idea to buy your dishwasher cleaner in the book powder. Once your little man starts running around it will be a lot easier for you to keep it up out of his reach a safe.

Becky, I just wanted to mention that Costco does ship. Not necessarily for right now, but it might be helpful in the future. I looked because I couldn't remember, free shipping comes with $80 spent. I know that I can't remember the last time I got out of there for less than that. 😂

Very interested! I bought Blueland, and found it doesn’t get every thing clean. I use a sourdough starter A LOT so I have a flour film on a lot of my glass bowls-Cascade gets it off, Blueland doesn’t. I know your only supposed to wipe off and get chunks off dishes so idk!

I love it when you post new videos 🤗. Just my thoughts on the dishwasher pods, I also have well water and try to use natural cleaners but have found they do not work well with my hard water (the only things that work for me are Dawn and Finish)….so don’t feel bad about your Cascade pods if you have to use them. You do so much to be eco friendly but it’s ok to choose clean dishes too 😊

Bulk maple syrup is easy to can in smaller jars. Just bring it to a boil and pour into sterile jars, put on a canning lid, screw on the metal band, invert the jars and let cool. Cheaper too. In a former life I used to have a sugar bush and tapped over a 1,000 trees.
