BECKY- get those fall pillows; they’re such a GOOD price. THEN, just get pillow covers for the other holidays and slip these pillows into them. Then those are easily stored when they’re not in season. (And if you’re not a seamstress, and also cannot find pillow covers that are the same size, just but other “affordable” pillows that are the same size, take their stuffing out, and then treat them like they’re a pillow cover.)

    • @nancywhitney4462

Yes, and sometimes you can even store the seasonal cases within the pillow!!

I vacuum pack my seasonal pillows and any covers. Once flattened and I’m sure there is no air leak, I slide them under my sofa/chairs or beds, or the back of a closet.

Just wanted to give you a few tips that may be helpful.
    1. Decorative pillows - buy plain ones and buy seasonal covers. They can store in your linen cabinet.
    2. Only because you are young and of child bearing age. Stevia is used as a contraceptive in other countries, so may want to be careful consuming it.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!

Hi Becky. I love you videos. Here is a tip.If you write you shopping list in your "notes" on your phone. You always have it with you. Also you can reuse the same note and erase or add items. No need for paper.

    • @theamonks775
      @theamonks775 Год назад

I’m glad that works for you. Personally I hate having to finagle my phone in my hand while pushing a trolly and getting things off the shelves. The phone keeps turning off and for sure would go flat while I’m shopping. Paper works perfectly for me. I keep the list in the kitchen and can add to it during the week as I use things up and plan my meals. I keep the list in columns so it is in order of how I shop.

Something else i love is when you talk about your Christmas traditions i love to hear about them. Maybe because my husband and my parents are gone now. So you start your own traditions but its just not the same without the whole family. I have two brothers one lives in America and the other one lives about seven hours away from us so it's just our little family but Christmas isn't really the same ànymore.maybe that's why i love watching you and your mum and you both seem to get on so well.

Be very careful with layering rugs so that you're not creating a trip hazard. If that makes sense to you, think of the elderly or someone holding a child, etc - then consider getting one that is oversized (easier to securely step on than a smaller version) with a non slip bottom.

Hi Becky, Love you ! Wanted to encourage you - Lord Willing this doesn’t happen - however, if there’s ever a earthquake in your area, your food storage shelves would be more protected if you add rectangle barriers around the openings of the shelf. & maybe even research how to protect your storage shelves from falling over if a earthquake happens.
Just things to think about to protect your hard work & harvest 😃

It elevates and makes the tree have a huge presence, keeps little ones and pets away from bottom of tree and there is ROOM for presents underneath and around it on the floor. No need to buy a more expensive taller tree.

Becky, my dad would always decorate our lamp post in our front yard using cornstalks and Indian corn he would put together on our front door.
Christmas time I remember going foraging through our woods for pine cones and greenery and I would help my dad make our seasonal Christmas wreath for our front door. He also would make a larger one and put it on the front of our house, which had lights on it as well. Absolutely great memories.
My parents would always buy half a pig and beef. What I liked, my parents would only buy the things we would mostly eat. My dad would get the pig, which included the ham for our Christmas meal.

Just a comment about dish rags ….. at Costco in the automotive department they have a box of it’s called grab a rag …
They are amazing and often go on sale …. So good for dish rags …. If they get yucky just throw it away …. 75 in a box …
    My tip for the day

I have a Samsung Bespoke refrigerator and it is made for storage bin use. Such a great way to stay organized and makes cleaning so much easier! Great refrigerator for those who entertain! I can get huge platters in it!

For grocery store places with lists needed, I use a large binder clip and a stiff (cut piece of a file folder) with post it notes attached (for the items needed for reuse purposes). I then clip the list situation to the back of the child seat situation on the cart and it is always visible and cannot be dropped or lost. It works great!

I just recently bought a couple of those clear organizers for our fridge, it works great to hold out meats and cheeses in one section and our lunchaables for the kids. I looked up that farm, itself only 20 minutes from me! I'm so excited!

Hi Becky! I suggest looking into getting throw pillow inserts and covers then changing out the covers for every season! The way I do it is have two bigger pillows that are just an accent color of that season (orange for fall, red for Christmas, gray all year round) and two smaller ones that actually have designs on them. Super affordable and I love that because the bigger ones that are an accent color on Amazon are SUPER SOFT so they are comfy for taking a nap on the couch so it’s also functional. This way all you need to store are a couple of pillow cases and we can all find room for that! Love your videos, I always make sure to watch every single one (usually within an hour or two of when they come out)❤
