I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel the same way. This will be my 6th Thanksgiving without my mom and it doesn't get easier. BuT seeing Becky with her mom makes me feel better for some reason.
So sorry for your loss. My mother is still with us but she has Alzheimer’s, so in a way she is not here…😢. Videos like this remind me of my mom and i’s shopping adventures. Brings back such sweet memories

You guys remind me of my mom and me. I’m the youngest in my family, and after I got married, I’d always host all the holidays. We would spend hours on the phone after I got my kids off to school, planning our menu. Then we’d go shopping together. They are some of my best mems. Enjoy your holiday!
Can you do me a favour, Becky? Can you just out of the blue, give your Mom a hug? My Mamma and I used to do all the things you do with your Mom and you do. I am the baby of the family too. Since she passed 19 years ago, I don't get to have those hugs anymore and those are the things I miss most. Do yourself a huge favour and save her voice on a recording. That you have these videos, should something untoward happen, your little ones will be able to hear her voice. It is one of the most precious gifts of being able to hear family, there is no words to how much it means. I honestly think beckys mum would like that, but I think she really enjoys just helping becky. Because poor becky looks absolutely tired out,just imagine if both of them done the same thing. But I love the way they get on together sometimes I feel so jealous. But we have to remember that is beckys full time job and it's a hard job

We had our Thanksgiving in October here in Canada. This year I watched your Thanksgiving video from 2022 and followed your plan ( shopping early, printing recipes and sticking them on the cupboards, food prepping a day or 2 before the event, cleaning and setting the table in advance. What a wonderful, stress free time we had! Thank you so much for your great educational videos ❤

I used to spend the before Thanksgiving at my parents. Me and mom would get up around 5 or 6am and we would cook. People were always in and out. So much laughter and visiting. Both my parents are gone now and those are truly among my happiest memories. ❤

I have no idea where my mom got this recipe or where she saw it but her stuffing recipe is my absolute favorite! She takes a standard stuffing recipe and uses mild/hot Italian sausage, chunky cut mushrooms and diced dried apricots (along with the bread cubes, celery, onion etc) It’s my favorite stuffing/dressing recipe and tastes like thanksgiving
Becky, I love when you cook, garden and especially shop. I love the shopping hawls and I have to say out of everything, I love when your parents are over. You and your mother are a hoot! I can’t get enough of your content. Please tell your mom there was one episode where you were cooking a holiday meal you were at her house or something and she mentioned galloping gourmet. That made my day I’m 61 years old and I used to watch that when I was very young.
You two remind me of my Mom and I. We love to shop together and cook together. Enjoy it. We do an Oktoberfest, make tons of food and family and friends bring sides, desserts, drinks, main dishes as well. We have a 30+ year old gazebo with a giant steel fireplace. We have a giant warming rack, and grill plus a huge rotisserie that goes over the fire box. Alot of family get together and good times!!!!
I don't have a Costco near me but we have Sam's Club. One of the best things that Sam's has is a Scan and Go option. You can scan the bar code of an item and when you've finished shopping, you can pay from your phone and skip the check out line. They still check you at the door before you leave but it saves so much time!
I love Sam's scan and go. It saves me money too because I can see what I am spending. Costco needs to get with the times and do a type of scan and go. I mean, even Walmart has a version. Take care and Blessings.

I loved this video today! It brought me so many wonderful memories! The shortbread cookies in the tin were always my dad's favorite cookies at the holidays and he always had them on hand for our gatherings! And shopping with my mom for the holidays holds such precious memories! Both my parents passed have passed on now and are dearly missed! This Thanksgiving we will have precious memories to reflect on, even though we have fewer chairs at the table! Enjoy making memories with your parents, siblings and your husband and little one! Awe, so thoughtful. I have a Thanksgiving baby and he was in the NICU for 2 weeks. So we ate hospital cafeteria food, yay us. Haha. Everyone we know sort of forgot about us. So we didn’t get the home made Thanksgiving. But we were grateful no matter what because our son was with us. I just love your mom. I lost mine almost 33 yrs ago. Miss her so much to this day. Yes, the Creamy Cranberry Jalapeño dip is the bomb. Get it while you can as it’s only available during the holidays. Try it on your leftover turkey sandwiches in place of cream cheese and cranberry sauce. OMG. 👍
I love it that you plan your celebrations around the family member who is in health care. I always felt it was less important to celebrate on a certain day. It was just the being together and the traditions. My in-laws were diehards for celebrations being on the exact day.
Oh my yes!! The tin shortbread are a must! They just take me back to being a kid and it’s one thing that still tastes good as an adult. My favorite is the spiral one!!! Love those cookies!

I love the idea of celebrating holidays when you can, not necessarily on the day. I used to work every Sunday so Easter and Mother's Day were moved to Saturday. It was GENUIS! We had the same fun at restaurants at a quarter of the price! This is also fantastic for Valentine's Day restaurant visits. Pick your day! And then sleep in and watch movies on the holiday. ❤

I lost my mum to cancer when l was 7 years old and lost my dad when l was 9 years old my older sister how is much older than me brought myself and rest of my brothers and sisters up as well as her own two children this was in late 70s am now in my 50s but love watching becky with her mom out shopping for thanksgiving we don't celebrate thanksgiving in uk
The smallest turkey I could find today was 14#. It’s just three of us. I’ll be doing some canning. You’re so fortunate to have a gigantic family to celebrate Thanksgiving with. I remember the times when it was 11 of us. My mom was ecstatic when we got together. My husband worked in news and his schedule made any holidays change. We never really celebrated the real days. It didn’t matter. Those days have sadly passed. Enjoy every second of your family time! ❤️

That is so nice that you celebrated Thanksgiving to include the family member in healthcare. I worked Thanksgiving for 10 years straight , in health care and did not get to celebrate Thanksgiving. My family would not get together around my schedule. When I finally had a Thanksgiving off, most of my family had passed away. You are very fortunate to have such a wonderful mom. I cook Thanksgiving and invite my mom over but she never comes.
I just have to say I love your videos and I think I love them even more because you are one of the only influencers who doesn’t record their young children or even talk about them. I respect that so much. Just great educational and fun content!
I miss her making mention of her family. No specifics needed or wanted. Just recognition that they exist. It’s a simple thing like when she started saying “my husband” instead of Josh. My mom and I have always made our stuffing just like your grandma’s stuffing except without egg or poultry seasoning. Since I’m making the stuffing this year, I’ll add the egg and poultry seasoning and see how it goes. Actually I want to try all your recipes, but not all for this Thanksgiving. And leaving the list at home; nobody got upset or blamed for it you just went after it. I’m 73 and we just moved last year to Oklahoma and have 15 acres. I now have chickens and a garden and have canned a substantial amount of food, dehydrated other food and have our deep freezers well stocked. I just ordered my Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. We’re becoming pretty self sustainable. I’ve wanted to start a blog but am just scared to. I really do enjoy yours and look forward to seeing all the content you put out for us to enjoy. Good morning! Today the 28th is the first day I feel better and now to catch up on your videos of the last 4 days. Hubby and I caught a virus from our grandsons soccer tournament and have been battling that while trying to host Thanksgiving. I am so thankful my brother in law stepped up on Thursday to help me as my husband stayed in our bedroom for 2 days. We had to run back to store for 1 or 2 items but glad we have a store close to where we live. My grandmother would invite a stranger to her table if she saw them. I have brined our turkey the last two years and it's been such a hit that I will continue to do this.
I make sausage & cornbread stuffing. Love Thanksgiving. My daughter & grandkids don’t care so much fo4 the turkey as long as they get canned cranberry jelly and mashed potatoes! I have same philosophy as your mom, always room for more around her table! Your herbs look delicious!
Those "Mayo Coba Beans" are so good. My husband got some and I canned them. They are also used as a "refried beans" Your mother is so so sweet. Can't wait to see what you share with us as you cook the day before. Thank you Becky for all that you do share with us!!

We do an Oktoberfest, make tons of food and family and friends bring sides, desserts, drinks, main dishes as well. We have a 30+ year old gazebo with a giant steel fireplace. We have a giant warming rack, and grill plus a huge rotisserie that goes over the fire box. Alot of family get together and good times!!!!

I don't have a Costco near me but we have Sam's Club. One of the best things that Sam's has is a Scan and Go option. You can scan the bar code of an item and when you've finished shopping, you can pay from your phone and skip the check out line. They still check you at the door before you leave but it saves so much time!
I love Sam's scan and go. It saves me money too because I can see what I am spending. Costco needs to get with the times and do a type of scan and go. I mean, even Walmart has a version. Take care and Blessings.

I loved this video today! It brought me so many wonderful memories! The shortbread cookies in the tin were always my dad's favorite cookies at the holidays and he always had them on hand for our gatherings! And shopping with my mom for the holidays holds such precious memories! Both my parents passed have passed on now and are dearly missed! This Thanksgiving we will have precious memories to reflect on, even though we have fewer chairs at the table! Enjoy making memories with your parents, siblings and your husband and little one! Awe, so thoughtful. I have a Thanksgiving baby and he was in the NICU for 2 weeks. So we ate hospital cafeteria food, yay us. Haha. Everyone we know sort of forgot about us. So we didn’t get the home made Thanksgiving. But we were grateful no matter what because our son was with us. I just love your mom. I lost mine almost 33 yrs ago. Miss her so much to this day. Yes, the Creamy Cranberry Jalapeño dip is the bomb. Get it while you can as it’s only available during the holidays. Try it on your leftover turkey sandwiches in place of cream cheese and cranberry sauce. OMG. 👍

I love it that you plan your celebrations around the family member who is in health care. I always felt it was less important to celebrate on a certain day. It was just the being together and the traditions. My in-laws were diehards for celebrations being on the exact day.
Oh my yes!! The tin shortbread are a must! They just take me back to being a kid and it’s one thing that still tastes good as an adult. My favorite is the spiral one!!! Love those cookies!

I love the idea of celebrating holidays when you can, not necessarily on the day. I used to work every Sunday so Easter and Mother's Day were moved to Saturday. It was GENUIS! We had the same fun at restaurants at a quarter of the price! This is also fantastic for Valentine's Day restaurant visits. Pick your day! And then sleep in and watch movies on the holiday. ❤

I lost my mum to cancer when l was 7 years old and lost my dad when l was 9 years old my older sister how is much older than me brought myself and rest of my brothers and sisters up as well as her own two children this was in late 70s am now in my 50s but love watching becky with her mom out shopping for thanksgiving we don't celebrate thanksgiving in uk

The smallest turkey I could find today was 14#. It’s just three of us. I’ll be doing some canning. You’re so fortunate to have a gigantic family to celebrate Thanksgiving with. I remember the times when it was 11 of us. My mom was ecstatic when we got together. My husband worked in news and his schedule made any holidays change. We never really celebrated the real days. It didn’t matter. Those days have sadly passed. Enjoy every second of your family time! ❤️

That is so nice that you celebrated Thanksgiving to include the family member in healthcare. I worked Thanksgiving for 10 years straight , in health care and did not get to celebrate Thanksgiving. My family would not get together around my schedule. When I finally had a Thanksgiving off, most of my family had passed away. You are very fortunate to have such a wonderful mom. I cook Thanksgiving and invite my mom over but she never comes.

My mom and I have always made our stuffing just like your grandma’s stuffing except without egg or poultry seasoning. Since I’m making the stuffing this year, I’ll add the egg and poultry seasoning and see how it goes. Actually I want to try all your recipes, but not all for this Thanksgiving. Becky, I love this episode of your vlog. Your mother is precious. I love that you all can cook and maneuver around each other and still enjoy your cooking experience. And leaving the list at home; nobody got upset or blamed for it you just went after it. I’m 73 and we just moved last year to Oklahoma and have 15 acres. I now have chickens and a garden and have canned a substantial amount of food, dehydrated other food and have our deep freezers well stocked. I just ordered my Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. We’re becoming pretty self sustainable. I’ve wanted to start a blog but am just scared to. I really do enjoy yours and look forward to seeing all the content you put out for us to enjoy. Congratulations on the little boy and blessings as you continue to work all things homesteading. 😊

Good morning! Today the 28th is the first day I feel better and now to catch up on your videos of the last 4 days. Hubby and I caught a virus from our grandsons soccer tournament and have been battling that while trying to host Thanksgiving. I am so thankful my brother in law stepped up on Thursday to help me as my husband stayed in our bedroom for 2 days. We had to run back to store for 1 or 2 items but glad we have a store close to where we live. My grandmother would invite a stranger to her table if she saw them. I have brined our turkey the last two years and it's been such a hit that I will continue to do this.
I freeze my cranberries to put my punch to keep it cold and it doesn't dilute the punch and it looks so pretty!!

I make sausage & cornbread stuffing. Love Thanksgiving. My daughter & grandkids don’t care so much fo4 the turkey as long as they get canned cranberry jelly and mashed potatoes! I have same philosophy as your mom, always room for more around her table! Your herbs look delicious!
