That Graph Ultralite is my favorite thing you make, and you make a lot of cool stuff. What I would ask is that you always have a black option. The colors are fine and all but black for a base layer or a as a T-shirt after riding goes with everything.
I bought the jersey today when I picked up a Reckless 80 (thanks for supporting the BDR this year!) and I was surprised that there's not a single RUclips video about it. You have a $120 jersey, and NO review video? Let's go Pete! 🤣
I own the Wreckless 80 and 10. Pinner ool roll. Jerseys. Wildcat with chest rig. 2021 Basilisk pant. The thing I so wish would be for there to be pockets/sleeves in the Basilisk jacket to add armor when on long trips, and take it out and wear separate armor for doing BDR'.s Instead I use KLIM Badlands as I can take their C2 armor out and wear separate armor when needed. But it's still heavy. Just need waterproof Event minimalist like the Basilisk jacket. Oh, and go back to neutral colors, and not the clown patchwork style that Klim has been famous for, and this years jackets have done. By that's just my humble opinion. Great gear Mosko, you've made my wallet lighter. Keep it up!
Awesome feedback, J! We've been working on our own armor for the last couple of years (almost done!), and will be releasing our riding apparel with the option of integrated armor towards the end of this year. We switch up our colors each season - we hear ya on the neutrals. Stay tuned and thanks for all of your support!
@@MoskoMoto I would echo on the colors, I just can't do the orange and seems like the past while it's either black or full-scream orange for all of your clothing 😭 Not staying it should all be grey/black, but if you're looking for inspiration, companies like Arcteryx seem to do a great job with color selection -> interesting yet more subdued and not yelling out.
@@AlexKost-tq6bj Thanks for the feedback! We do our best to rotate colors yearly and try to make them feel different. We do have a more subdued Basilisk jacket since we know not everyone digs Orange!
just purchased an Icon compression armor shirt and a Rev’it Dirt series component H2O jacket, now just waiting on the Worlhorse Jerseys to re-stock in size L - please re-stock soon!! btw I’m absolutely loving my 12L Wildcat backpack! Best backpack for off-road riding ever made, period.
Stoked to hear that you're digging your WIldcat! We're expecting to get more Workhorse jerseys by the end of the year but be sure to stay tuned for more details.
The slip on knee and elbow pads looks really interesting. I wonder if these can work perfect with my E-MTB riding as well 🤔 Looking forward to more info about this 🤩 Keep up the amazing work Mosko 👏🏻
First person explaination of your products is the best. Where else would I have gone to gain as thorough an understanding of Mosko's product function other than this video? Nowhere.
I'm sold on the idea, I like layering up and will be buying some touring gear soon. The one thing I'm stuck on is the knee armor; I have a soft armor suit that I wear over a base layer so it's easy and non-intrusive to take off at a stop. Knee armor is uncomfortable and not easy to get off (since it's under the pants) so I prefer to have it built into the pants, knowing it is not as protective. Having knee pockets on the Basilisk pants would make me buy them in a second, but until then I'm playing with the idea of getting different pants or knee armor to strike the right balance.
Hey Matt! We hear ya. We strongly believe in and advocate for the use of separate armor because of its superior protection and layering ability - that being said, we know it's not for everyone! We're working on our own armor + integrated armor apparel. Stay tuned!
Great video (thanks for listening to my layering suggestion a few vids back🤙), makes me re-think my current kit.. I now know what my next outfit is going to be I like these type of video's Pete where you just go over all the details. Keep going :)
Getting into multiple hobbies such as mountain biking, off road motor biking, and snowboarding, I am wondering whether I can use some gear for multiple purposes. It seems motor biking gear is built to a high standard so it could double up as some short term snow gear. Even some of the light motorbike gear can be use for MTB and the more heavy MTB gear can be used as light motor biking gear. Has anyone run into this problem 😂, I would like to save some money and not acquire to much gear.
Great stuff. Wow Mosko Moto! It's great that you're starting to test your own body armor. I own your Basilisk jacket, and really hope that you will give us the OPTION to integrate some heavy duty armor in your jackets, so it's easy to take it all off and on between rides.
Hey! Thanks for your feedback. We've been developing our own armor for a couple years now. 🤘We'll begin to introduce our apparel with integrated armor options once it's finished!
I'm a little concerned about your shoulders, Pete!! I have broken both shoulders with similar layers. I always use armour with shoulder protection when layering up. Feels a little bulky but necessary in my case. Great Vid. Enjoy your trip mate.
I'm excited to see what Mosko Moto comes up with for slip on armor. I've tried a bunch of options and none really work well. They all slide out of place over time or the velcro wears out or peels back and gets stuck on the inner liners of other gear. I really haven't been impressed and keep thinking there has to be a better setup.
Don't think i saw shoulder armor addressed anywhere. What's the reason for not wearing any shoulder armor. Is it not really needed? Thanks for sharing!
Currently, none of our apparel has integrated armor or pockets for armor. Many people on the staff use separate armor, that is, chest, back, ribs, and shoulder armor. We have a couple different options listed on our website!
Would love to know if you and your team are wearing the Alpinestars Tech Air Off Road? and if this has changed your design and layering thoughts? I recently purchased it and have had to replace a number of my layers as there was insufficient room under the jackets for the airbag to inflate, likewise with my warming layers (puffy). Thermals obviously still work. Stay well. Cheers Scott. FYI, the Tech air off road saved my mate 7 days after we got it. He sent his bike off the edge of an extremely steep bush embankment. He was black and blue all over, except where the airbag vest was…. So good
We haven't had a chance to try out any of the newer airbags. The latest airbag technology does seem promising and it's something we'll keep in mind for future apparel design.
Hi Pete! I'm looking for a pant to go with my basilisk jacket, but as a powerlifter I have big thighs and usually need 36-38 pants just to get them on. I'm also not a fan over external rain gear (especially for legs) but no waterproof pant has stretch. Do you think the Basilisk pant or woodsman OTB + rain pants would be best for someone who needs stretch and ability to move without being restricted? Many thanks!
Hey Johannes, the Basilisk pant does not have stretch, but is waterproof. Our Woodsman pant has great stretch and are very comfortable/durable, but are not waterproof. Best bet is to try both on and see what fits you most comfortably. That's priority number one!
Great video Peter. New to using separate armor. What do you recommend for shoulder and hip protection? Or do you not use for ADV and dual sport riding? Thanks!
Thoughts on shoulder armor? Feels like shoulders are likely the main thing that'll take a hit if you go down, but for some reason yourself and a lot of moto guys seem to go for the chest/back protector without the shoulders. Any reason for that? I have one of those Leatt 4.5 chest plates with removable shoulders and tbh I never wear the shoulder because they're awkward/bulky and make jerseys and jackets fit so weird.
We think you nailed it on the head! Some people find them awkward and uncomfortable but some don't. One thing we like about separate armor is that you can wear as much or as little armor as your feel comfortable with.
great vid! It certainly helps understand the products better holistically with these explanations vids. Q: I think Pete was going from outer to inner layer in that order. At which point is he suggesting the various armour pieces get worn- below the base layer? Above the mid layer? Also, I wear knee braces (Pods) for every ride so under/over which layer would you suggest I wear these?
Hey! Appreciate that feedback. We're happy you found this video helpful. Most of us here at Mosko run knee brace socks as the layer between braces and skin. On colder rides we run our Strata base layer bottoms under our braces. Hope this helps!
Hey Gianluca! Thanks for watching. The Basilisk will not fit inside your boots comfortably. They're very feature rich and burly with leather patching and velcro adjustments on the lower half of the leg.
