Greetings all! Three things! 1. I made a list of N1 Deck jackets that I know about and have a good reputation in the description. Please feel free to add your favorite too. 2. Apparently RUclips is "Auto-Dubbing" videos now and you may hear a robot voice translating what I'm saying into a different language. That's hilarious and I'm so sorry about that. I turned it off after a few of you messaged me but please let me know if you'd rather I have it on. If it's STILL on and RUclips disobeyed my wishes you can turn it off in the settings menu on the video. 3. The Mammoths are FINALLLY coming next week. Sign up to the email list for updates at theironsnail.us. Should get them out to you all very quickly from ordering (they are already in production, I'm just waiting for samples for photographing).
Iron Heart N1/A2 deck jackets are super popular. I personally have their A2 which is kind of an upgraded version of the A2 (the actual A2 used a poly liner, Iron heart uses 100% wool). Very nice in the winter.
When I watched this video, you came to mind immediately. You two should make some videos together, as you have very similar interests and video subjects.
I will forever love peacoats. Also when will you make a video on cardigans? I need to spend a ridiculous amount of money on cardigans and your advice on which companies should get that money would be helpful.
I love the military surplus and heritage jacket history videos keep it up dude but i would love to see an overview of the cheaper options for us poor folk😂
My BR N-1 is good, not warm enough for the midwinter walk to work but definitely warm enough for my job as a driver who is in and out of the van all day. Their QC on button attachment could be better but I solved that by replacing them with slot buttons, which have the added benefit of having just a bit of lift, thus enabling easier buttoning/unbuttoning and adding less stress to the attachment points. Thanks as always!
I see Iron & Resin on the recommendation list and I have to say, IME Iron & Resin's stitching quality has been terrible on their imported jackets. I bought a bunch of jackets from them early on before I knew better, probably 8 or 9 because of the sales, and had stitching issues with all but one of them. I literally exchanged one of their Cruiser jackets 3 times to get one that didn't have seams coming apart from the factory. Their N1 was the least worst of the pieces I owned but I don't trust them and am extremely skeptical of their "lifetime repair" guarantee since they're just a retail store and the jackets are imported from Pakistan.
This is good to know! I haven’t had a ton of experience with them (held one piece one time) but bummed to hear that. A few people mentioned them already in the comments section so I’ll watch for a bit and see what the general consensus is and pull if needed
@@TheIronSnail I hate to be a debbie downer on a great video but I see this brand getting more attention and I personally wish someone had just told me to save more and wait for something like the Iron Heart N1 - coincidentally, just got the IH Oiled Whipcord N1 and it's as awesome as I hoped.
Hey Michael I love your vids. I bought a buzz rickson N 1 but I had to return it. The alpaca wool mix just itched too much. Did you have a favorite from the ones you reviewed?

Now buy Oak Street's or Viberg's N1 Roughout boots.
Then wear it with the N1 coat and schott's peacoat with a blue scarf.
YIPPEE!

Awesome video my friend. Happy holidays!

Quite keen to see an Iron Snail version of the N1 deck jacket ☺

Cheaper options videos coming!!
His is a great content-feedback loop. I’m stoked for the vid too!
Dear @TheIronSnail
I love your videos! You’re the reason I started my RUclips channel.
So thank you, thank you so much!
Cheers!
So hyped to see you get deeper into watches. Great vid
The Navy also made a parka version available to officers. I have one and it's fabulous warm if not as flexible as the short length version.
6:17 I do not get the joke 😂 but I found the undoctored version of your accountants while trying to learn why they would need those gloves 😂
I just want to say thank you Holly
Nah, you're saying alpaca just fine, don't worry.
Dude, you really had me googling "accounting jacket". Lmfao

I have an N-1 and an A-2 deck jacket and I love both dearly. Great jackets.
Been seeing N1 Jackets every where this year. Glad someone finally explained them to me!
Love ur vids!!! Would you ever do a video on stuff like mod and rocker fashion? Keep it up!!
This jacket looks great. I would love a longer version.
Ultimately, I think I just want one of the long coats from Andor.
Could you do a best jacket for big back individuals like myself.
I miss you talking about watches, Harris!
Mikey, can't wait for you to break down watches!! I first encountered you on Christian's channel, and it's not the same without you.
What I learned is that I need a reptile heating pad for my feet
I actually watched the ad. 😂
Nicely done.
can you do part 2 based on accountant jackets??? wtf was even that why tf do accountants need hewavy jackets and gloves???
Because they're always hiding something from the tax man.
I think it’s a joke lol. The picture is photoshopped. They actually took inspiration from firefighters
Here's a fun fact, You can mention the details in metric scale too since rest of the world uses that.
oh man I wish I could have your jacket in germany

You mised freewheelers N1
Check out the deck jacket by Heat Straps
It’s in the vid!!
Alpaca is pronounced ah-heelEye-pack-qua
Ah ja, die Eiserne Schnecke, wir sind sowas von zurück
The Iron and Resin waxed N1 is amazing too. You should definitely try it some time.
you're saying alpaca great but i think sliver is pronounced with a short i, like sliffer but with Vs, or silver with a typo
