When Rick says he's just making sounds from his mouth like jazz (in the end), he's actually singing a tune. Sa re ga ma pa dha ni translates to do re mi fa so la ti and he's singing a variation or "taal" of those
Rick you are so sweet and emotional and beautiful - quite contrary to what the stereotype of an average American is. I was dying to write something like 'finally this reaction that most stupid babies were waiting for' but as I kept watching the video, I had to first address Rick and tell him how much we love that he shares this vulnerable side with us without any reservations. Anyway, as expected we loved your reaction. I would definitely recommend you to try Chaap Tilak from Coke Studio Pakistan. Its pure magic woven by two masters of their craft- Aabida Parveen and Rahat Fateh ali Khan - at their finest. Aside from the musical genius, the surrender to the Supreme Power that I can sense in this version makes it surreal.
Chaap Tilak is sooooo good. Amir Khurso 's poetry❤️. Abida ji opens the song and you feel like she had lured you into this maze of your soul. Definitely my favourite!
What's at the end is not just sounds. It was the Eastern chromatic scale like the do, re, mi. The beauty is when he sang the name of each note it was in the exact pitch. Such an amazing song.
ABHISHEK DUTTAO8 yeah thats some how true, he is a great port but he wrote 1000 songs but none of them has this much magic, you can not deny talent of Rahat and Nusrat sahab
The portion he sang at the end is not improvised, he was actually singing 'swara' or 'svara' (sa, re, ga, ma, pa, dha, ni, sa), which are the seven notes of the music scale in Indian classical music. Every song is based on a 'raga' (melody) and that melody is derived from those seven notes. The music scale can be composed and sung. Indian classical trained singers can sing the musical scale in different pitches and variations, it's a core part of their training, and Rahet Fateh Ali Khan is a maestro!
@@firetank413 Indian like the Indian subcontinent, I'm assuming. Singing the notes Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni indicates a Hindustani classical influence - that's what I know this style of music being called as. Would love to know if a different terminology is used for this musical style in Pakistan. 😇
@@firetank413 we are ethnically and culturally the same people. It is the Indian subcontinent where the landmass of India (the older bigger area that got broken into the present day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh) got its name from the river Indus (Sindhu river in Pakistan), along which the oldest Indus valley civilization of Mohenjodaro & Harappa existed. So, let us not bicker and fight over because the lady called it Indian music. It is an old classical music style of the older Hindustan, the same place where your and our forefathers came from. Let us leave our egos and stupid pride behind and embrace humanity for once! We are all humans first and anything else afterwards. So, let us live in peace and enjoy the music that brings us together thankfully!
I agree that this song has really good lyrics but this actually doesn't need that much explanation . one can actually enjoy to tone and composition of the song

@@warriorcow8817 obviously you need to hear music to appreciate the effect it can have on you, but you need to read between the lines. What is conveyed in Unparallel 7's beautiful comment here ☝️ is that Music transcends words and language and goes straight to the heart.
I really don't know how to put into words what I feel when I hear such beautiful songs from Pakistan-India and my own country Bangladesh. These three countries are really in a complicated relationship considering our history of the colonial era and liberation thereafter. There is hatred, bitterness, oppression and pain in many peoples heart for each other in each side. But listening to the music we remember that although we are seperated by border and political affiliation we have a common root. We as people with our culture stemmed from the same soil. We are like three children of the same mother who have grown up and became separated from each other but when we hear or remember the childhood stories feel one with each other.Such music feels like that childhood stories. ♥️♥️♥️

Also "Rang" is amazing
Wow! That was sooo beautifully written dear Anindita.
Best wishes from south Africa.
My favorite ruclips.net/video/BXmIpbBOSvI/видео.html. The way they are using their voice as if they are playing an instrument.
@@sanjayr7977 thank you for your wishes and the appreciation. It means a lot to me.
What's at the end is not just sounds. It was the Eastern chromatic scale like the do, re, mi. The beauty is when he sang the name of each note it was in the exact pitch. Such an amazing song.
aw, the lyrics make this song even more beautiful, not sure if you were following along. :)
Well and truly💛
Not sure if the lyrics would do justice. Maybe it will make it more weird for them.
.
The lyrics is the USP of the song ... It's written by Javed akhtar. He is Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar's father
Honey its Pakistani music dont try to fit india in it and make it sound like this is "Indian"
The music Pakistan follows is called Hindustani Music or North Indian Music, so these are definitely notes of Hindustani music
Lol Indian take Pakistani music and make it their own. Like clearly come up with orginal ideas.
