GUYS HEAR ME OUT...... There is a reason why she sits down at the end of the video. The deeper meaning to that little gesture comes from what happens earlier on in the film. In the first few beginning scenes when they first meet in Corsica and become friends, Tara (Deepika) is seen sitting in his presence and just feeling the peace and blissfulness. It is very subtle because she just walks up to him playing soccer with kids on the street, finds a spot, and sits down. Then she closes her eyes feeling complete and at peace in that very moment....in Ved's (Ranbir) presence. So, when she finds him towards the end of this song, she sits down....longing to feel the same peace and completeness that she felt when things were well. This is why I love the director of this movie (Imtiaz Ali). I am a big fan of his work due to his story telling with a deeper meaning. For reference, he was the director of Rockstar.

Out of some luck an important actor got interested in my one line and got me IN into his project. It carried on from there. Everyone s journey is different. Hope you find yours, but never rest ,keep trying all options and get into meaningful associations.

Alka yagnik's voice is so soothing and sad like Tara's heartfelt apology and on the other hand Arijit Singh has 2 pitch played together which literal trasend his emotion, angry but yet vulnerable.

I got what you're saying Rick about Deepika's performance and it looks more mature than in other movies.I think she was born to be a queen or loved by a king but when she plays a modern common girl she nailed it.. Tamasha is an underrated masterpiece! One of my all time favourite scenes/songs.
Deepika isn't from a Theater background but from a modeling background. Her father Prakash Padukone was a legendary Badminton player. First Indian to win the All England Badminton Open, considered one of the prestigious open tournaments..Deepika chose a different career path beginning with Modelling, but she still has some badminton roots as well...
The fact that Ranbir and Deepika broke up before this film adds a whole new meaning to that opening scene. Wonder how awkward it must have been for them to shoot it.

The intro song named as - CHALI KAHANI(The story goes on...) from this same movie - TAMASHA, is also brilliant. Would like to see your reaction to that song, as the lyrics of the song is interwoven between different stories of different timelines and cultures - e.g. - Ramayan, Romeo Juliet, Heer Ranjha, Troy, Legends of Krishna, Legend of Moses, etc. all these put together to form a single song and the fluidity never ends. AR Rahman music and voice of Sukhwinder Singh just makes it a legendary song to listen to.

Later came ‘Goliyon ki Rasleela Ram- Leela’ (2013),where she met Ranveer Singh and they started dating and later came ‘Piku’ (2015)and the same year came , ‘Tamasha’ (2015)and then , ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015) so it has nothing to do with their breakup because Deepika was completely over it till that time.

No, they have been separated for nearly 5-6 years already before they shot this movie together but still it was a huge promotion for them and was discussed in news media a lot. They were both in relationships with their respective partners at the time of shooting. They are now very good friends and appear in events a lot together.

Those two are the best actors in bollywood. And Ranbir Kapoor's entire family is from Acting. His grandfather was legendary Raj Kapoor and great grandfather was legendary Prithviraj Kapoor. Ranbir literally got acting chapters on his grandfather while studying acting. But literally he is one of the most talented actor in India. And Deepika is just 'LOVE' always favorite .

@@tijothomas4399 the last 2 will be wasted coz 1 they have seen drisyum Hindi version n they just might see bhool bhuliya so last one is wasted too...btw it's might b simply coz subs for Malayalam isn't that easily available at the same time properly covering the dialogue coz most of the time in South Indian languages the original punch or weight of the dialogue is lost in translation...or it will take time to hit them so they won't b able enjoy the moment.... nevertheless I too want them to react to more south Indian content..btw they do now have cd for Vikram vedha so I can't wait for that😎😎🤓🤩🤩🤩🤩

Can you please talk about Ranbir and the song here?? Firstly, Ranbir and Deepika broke up in 2009-20010. So this was just pure acting. Secondly, Ranbir knocked it out of the park. Throughout the movie, you won't be able to take your eyes off him. Especially if you know legendary Bollywood actors like Devanand and all (he took theatrical mimicry classes for months for this role and shows subtle mannerisms of various legendary actors throughout the film and does it so well). And lastly, I've commented it many times before and I'm commenting it again, PLEASE WATCH THE MOVIE! You'll be mesmerized by how much talent Ranbir has!

Other directors have been able to make deepika act better than Sanjay Leela bhasali. He is just mesmerised by her beauty and wants her to look stunning in all scenes. He does not utilise her to her full potential.
The emotion was so raw and well done there. I'm extremely impressed with their acting.
