Both hybrid trims have the body color trim pieces under the headlights and the bottom lip that looks more upscale, but the black on the Sport still looks nice. Only the hybrids have the fix a flat inflator kit, I believe it might have something to do with the battery, the LX and Sport still have the conventional spare tire. The optional black exterior emblems should come included in the Sport trim and two Sport Hybrid trims. The Civic taillights still have some incandescent bulbs, but LasFit has replacement LED bulbs. I prefer the black window trim. The previous Touring and Sport Touring Hatchback had chrome trim. What would have been nice is if they put the smoked chrome trim like they did on the previous grilles for the previous Accord and HR-V Sport. The blank button space on the center console is for the dreaded auto start/stop feature that the hybrid trims do not have.
Good looking car for sure. Luckily it isn’t a plug-in hybrid. You just put gas in it and treat it like a normal non-hybrid car. But you can’t beat the 50 MPG!
They are comparable in size to mid-size sedans from the 90s, but the entire segment has grown in size so it's still a compact. Everything has just gotten relatively bigger
It's definitely worth checking out. It is expensive, yes, but you're paying for something that is more mechanically sound than most of the market options
It's not a CVT transmission. Honda calls it eCVT, but that isn't a very accurate name. It's really a "virtual" CVT; most of the time, the engine is connected only to a generator, and an electric motor drives the car. So yes, the ratio of engine rpm to wheel rpm "varies continuously," but it is a meaningless number. "With overdrive" applies to the exception. When cruising above about 40 to 45 mph, it will connect the engine to the wheels with one fixed gear ratio.
European and Asian markets rear usb and air vent are installed. Honda is deliberately keeping inventory low on the civic hybrid to keep prices elevated. All dealers in my area only have one or two in stock 🔥
Oh, that because European customers require and expect rear seats vents and USB C ports as minimum rear passenger needs. We need to do the same and let Honda know that we all require on all Hondas sold in USA to be equipped with rear passenger / heating vents and USB C ports just like in Europe. Email Honda now and let them know and is shall be done Amen!
Im between the hybrid le 2025 camry or this civic what do you guyd think? They are about the dame price, the camry le being cheaper actually but with less tech. Any suggestions?
I would only consider the Camry if having the bigger size matters to you. If the size of the Civic is suitable for your needs, the Civic is definitely the better value for the money.
@OpticalAutomotive I see... how about reliability? I've never owned a Honda amd everybody talks about how reliable toyota is. What are your thoughts on that?
@@leoarredondo8723 Can't go wrong with Toyota or Honda. They are the two most reliable brands out there. I've had my Civic for 8 years and it's had no problems aside from the battery needing replacement. Either one is a solid choice.
The Honda Civic is a good car, but too many little things are missing that add up. No spare tire, which is rediculous! If you patch up the tire, WHICH NO ONE WANTS TO BE BOTHERED WITH, and you drive even a short distance, the tire has to be replaced! It can't be repaired! Also, there are no rear vents or USB ports, and the passenger seat has no height adjustment! I was going to buy a new Civic hyprid until I discovered all these negatives! Honda, you better be smarter than this! A car is more than gas milage and power!
@@Thatguy-mo8jd Not really. Most compact sedans in this segment don''t get it. In Europe, they have it. The premium version Acura Integra doesn't have rear A/C vents.
The only complaints you negative nancies ever have are “no rear USB or rear vents wahhh😢” and “no spare tire wahhh wahhhh😥😥” The car is a winner. And if you disagree, go buy the competitors, which are objectively inferior in almost every metric. Go and enjoy those rear vents in some crappy interior competition…. from the front drivers seat of the car…..
Had an Insight that I liked(not loved); traded for an Integra Aspec. Id consider another hybrid especially with the ICE portion upgraded to match the Accord. But please put lumbar support in a touring Civic!
just got mine and it’s such a good driving car
Congrats!
Hands down the best review video on the 2025 civic!
Thank you so much Jay! 🙏🏼
Good review you’re very thorough. I subscribed to your channel!
Thank you Bobby! 🙏🏼
the blank button is where the auto start/stop button goes on the ICE only trims
I ordered a white one with two tone gray interior. Waiting to get the schedule for the build to start from my dealer.
Tracking your own car while it's being built sounds super cool 😎

You could probably still fit a donut in the same compartment honestly
Thoughtful and informative review (and I've watched several). Hope you can take one for a drive and give your opinions on that!
Thank you Tim! I’ll see what I can do. I did recently do a test drive video of the Integra. Pretty similar but without the hybrid powertrain
I just wondered why they reduced the top speed on speedometer from 260km/hr to 220km/hr?
It's a nice looking car but I don't know how I feel about these hybrids
Good looking car for sure. Luckily it isn’t a plug-in hybrid. You just put gas in it and treat it like a normal non-hybrid car. But you can’t beat the 50 MPG!
Feel about what? Getting 50 Mpgs? If you want a turbo get an SI
Civic are midsized now😮

@@OpticalAutomotive no it's a midsize by the official saw requirements accord is a large car Corolla is compact and much smaller
The cost cutting sucks for the touring trim
Want go test drive this i might purchase vechile it is expensive tho, and got money for the car payments as well.
I don't find the Honda over priced, I'm looking at getting a civic hybrid sport touring top spec.
It's definitely worth checking out. It is expensive, yes, but you're paying for something that is more mechanically sound than most of the market options
No auto start stop button? Does it still have the auto start stop feature?
Hybrids don’t have the auto start stop, only the ICE engines
Auto start/stop is how hybrids work. If you disabled it the engine would have to run all the time for no reason, it wouldn't make any sense.

It’s a city si that gets 50mpg now all Honda has to do is do the same thing on the V6 but with a 300ish hp e motor.

Yes but it's not free, they pay for it.

I call the wheels rocket wheels.
I can see it 😂
My next car in the name of the lord Jesus. Amen 🙇🏻♂️ I really liked this model. Still not sure the white one or the silver one
Manifest it 🙏🏼

Do the new Hyundai ELANTRA N-Line
I like civic but don't buy black color quality very poor
Have you had issues with the black paint?
No rear usb or air vents is ridiculous. Overpriced once again 🙄🫣
Feel like they leave this stuff out for Acura
@@Thatguy-mo8jd Not really. Most compact sedans in this segment don''t get it. In Europe, they have it. The premium version Acura Integra doesn't have rear A/C vents.
They have them in Europe but it's not free, they pay for it. In Canada they get heated steering wheel but again, it's not free.

No rear USB is insane cost cutting extreme.
Hiway mpg is about the same as non hybrids
the blank button is where the auto start/stop button goes on the ICE only trims
Aha THAT’S the one I was forgetting about. Thanks for the info!
