Yeah if you are looking at a “compact” sedan then there really is no better option. I wouldn’t even touch Hyundai. My neighbors spent more time at the dealer than his driveway. The Corolla hybrid is also a nice option if a sporty look doesn’t matter and just need a solid A to B. Just sucks dealers may mark these up and accessories up on this model no doubt

I went from a 2011 Mazda 3 to a 2025 Boost Blue Civic Hatch Hybrid...and wow. I love this car. Rides incredibly smooth, quiet cabin (at least compared to what I am used to), great fuel economy, fun to drive (especially in sport mode), the paddle breaks behind the wheel make a nice mini-game to play while driving and the gray interior I was able to get give it a nice contrast inside the vehicle. Great car!

I’m waiting for this in the “hybrid hatch” iteration. Can you review it c its looks and extra trunk capacity.
Two years ago I reluctantly traded UP IN HEIGHT to the new 23 CRV for the height advantage as I found my beautiful 18 VW Golf “ Sportwagen “ a bit too low.
Now I’d like to trade in my 23 CRV for this hybrid Civic.
Problem still remains in the height disadvantage.
Must consider is this a snow shovel in our winter snow in Manitoba or not as it’s a front wheel drive vs my CRV’S all wheel?
Btw the price of our 23 Civic Touring is a whopping $40000. Then we pay 12% tax over that. Nuts!
I’d love to pay that $33000 you Americans pay.

This Civic Hybrid, and the new Prius Prime, both raised the hybrid game substantially. Both are capable of 0-60 in the low to mid-6 second range, which is a hot hatch level of performance not too long ago. Even the current VW GTI is only about 0.5 seconds quicker but gets 25 mpg in the city instead of 50+ for these hybrids. According to C&D, a 2015 Mustang Ecoboost with a 6-speed does 0-60 in 5.5 and the 1/4 mile in 13.9 but requires 93 octane gas to do it. Put in 87 gas and it'll probably barely crack 6 seconds and the 1/4 in the low 14's, which means the Civic would be just 0.3-0.5 second slower. This apple-to-orange comparison really lends perspective on how good the new generation of hybrid cars has become. Put some better performance 4-season tires on them, and they can be decently fun in the corners too while still being ultra efficient. Very impressive!

You can with some, but they normally have a limited range, and when the battery is flat, you are lugging around a lot of dead weight. This means that on any longer journey, once the battery is out of charge, the fuel consumption is not very good. Plug-in hybrids are great if you make short journeys and have access to home charging, but for most people, a self-charging hybrid like this makes more sense.

I work in sales and bought this exact same car. At this price point, It checks every box for me. Is it perfect, nope. Is it very close, yes. Rear A/C is the only drawback and not getting the 9inch screen in the Hybrid sport or wireless Apple CarPlay. The top trim really just makes the most sense, If you are going hybrid. The 3k jump makes a significant difference in the Touring Hybrid. Leather seats, wireless Apple care play, 9inch screen, Bose system, power seats.

The Bose system, leather, wireless Apple car play is enough to justify 3k. I don’t like adding aftermarket amps and running them to stock head units either.
