That's why they should've stopped after the second one. All they did was pretty much drag the series into a hole. They could've used the same ideas in 3 and 4, but as a different franchise. Not change up the theme of the original Saints Row. The problem with Saints Row now is that it feels like a totally different game, but it's not. Going from gangs, to government organizations, to literally being elected POTUS, to aliens destroying the earth and being stuck in a damn simulation. Pretty drastic fucking change that nobody asked for.

Carlos from the 2nd game was only there to introduce you to the game before he was killed off and his death was way more memorable than Gat who had been in it from the start yet his death didnt mean fuck all to most the people who saw it. Saying the games are the same is like saying Resident Evil 1 is the same as 6. Just because its gangs and shooting dont really make it a saints row game. Oh and why the fuck did the gangs need to be fought in order rather than having a separate story for each gang and how would a gang get access to space age genetic modifications? The old story just got dumped on its ass with 3. Dex never gets mentioned in 3 or 4 nor is Troy or Ultor. Infact the only resemblance to the 1st 2 games ive seen is the Vice Kings mission in 4 which looks stupid short and just feels awkward. In comparison 3 and 4 really are a shadow of what saints row used to be.

And b) due to the episodic and compartmentalized nature of the missions it would have been difficult to integrate Johnny into the SoS storyline with him so heavily involved with the Ronins. It's fairly easy to extrapolate that there's a strong bond there, and we just don't get a clear view of it on account of the mechanics of the game.

I've never played the first one, but the way I see it, each game was unique and I'm not against it. First game: Never played it, because I don't even see it in GameStop. Second game: Great, but dark story, excellent voice acting. Third game: More color and weapons are now upgradeable. Also, Zimos. Final game: Most unique of the series. Sharp writing is back, too. Just wish it had metal music.

Saints Row 3 was my favorite saints row even being a Saints Row OG because of the redo in graphics and story line. Weapons and just gameplay in general. It's progressively gotten worse but I'm excited for Agents Of Mayhem

Saints Row 3 was my favorite saints row even being a Saints Row OG because of the redo in graphics and story line. Weapons and just gameplay in general. It's progressively gotten worse but I'm excited for Agents Of Mayhem

I hated that mission where you had to steal the tank and go after the truck that had the computer because Pierce would just keep firing his lasers at the truck engine
I saved Shaundi and viola first on PS3 I learned my lesson from that then I did the same fucking mistake again on 360 lol
