Before anybody mentions it i know my hand placement is weird haha. The seat is still mounted in the original mounting points and i'm 6'8" so my knees are touching the steering wheel and my elbows hit the side of my body when i try to turn. I know it looks horrible to look at and isn't ideal but the seating position is on my long list of jobs to sort out!!
You were going well in yours to be fair. Have you done much to it? It's just a perfect track for the Micra tbh because it's actually quite quick up to about 70 now that it has no weight in it but i runs out of steam after that. I was edging towards the end of my power band when passing you and wasn't sure if i was gonna get past 😂
I just love the underdogs and the Micra is a great example of one, my mum's got an 05 plate 1.2 urbis and it goes like a rocket for what it is an I love going sideways in it, the lift off oversteer is so good on it plus the power it puts down has put a shocked surprise on quite a few friends face's.i have to admit that I'm 49 and should not be doing this kind of thing but it is so much fun I can't help myself 😉👍

The green Nissan Micra 1998 was my first car... This takes me back. The feedback that you get without power assisted steering made this experience so real.
The engine is all original, running the factory ecu on the original tune. The suspension and handling mods were done by me using BC coilovers and a lot of Gizfab products. Just getting the suspension setup properly on these cars makes a huge difference!!
I used to drive a 1.5l toyota echo sportivo around as a cheap daily, it was crazy the pick up it had up to about 100kmph after that it was meh, but revved very high and was super light so track days were always super fun, best part is if you stuff the car it doesnt matter so much.
