When I was researching exhausts for my wife's 5.7 Challenger I was always blown away by how many people swore Borla ATAK/Corsa Extreme would be way too much for daily driving. Under light throttle my wife's car is damn near silent still. If anyone is considering an ATAK for a 5.7/6.4 and you think it will be too loud, it won't.
know that when MDS is active it is more amplified, I pretty much always drive in sport so I don't have to deal with it, that being said it bothered me with stock exhaust as well.
johnnyrocketZX14 nice, I have the axle back borla but still yet to put it on but wonder if I can also combine it with a borla muffler or some other like a cherry bomb or other brand
I removed my rear resonators, didn't notice a big sound diff, then removed my mid muffler, huge sound diff. But you definitely lose power or low end torque. I went to the drag strip the next day and i ran against an older srt stock and he had way better numbers than me. I would get good launches but as soon as i hit between 3 and 4 thousand refs you can feel the dip on power very noticeable. Next day i went and installed stock mid muffler again and car felt as good as new.
jordan king nothing besides the full borla or corsa systems that’s crazy expensive lol I’m planning on getting headers soon thinking that will definitely make a sound difference plus you get actual performance gains so in my opinion headers with stock mid and resonators delete should be the best value for money.
jordan king no no codes at all, the drone wasn’t that bad either but as soon as the MDS thing goes on it got pretty bad. If you have a tuner you can disable MDS and then you should be good. Honestly if you don’t worry about the performance that much I would recommend it shit i have even thought about taking it off again lol, it sounds really good loud though but I like loud, you really hear that v8 rumble

saulbntz88 I did the carvin direct fit muffler and 5” ceramic tips on my 5.7 ram, half the price and love the sound.
