  • I take my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT for a test drive with a freshly installed "Borla ATAK" cat-back exhaust.
    This exhaust is AMAZING! It's not SUPER loud, there is NO drone, but it still has a mean growl when you step on it. This exhaust gives you the aggressive tone you're looking for in the Jeep SRT, without giving you the headaches associated with exhausts that drone.
    I highly recommend this purchase to ANYONE with a 2015+ Jeep SRT. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments!

    sounds incredible. Just picked up my '18 GC SRT. How come you went with the Atak over the S-Type? Trying to decide between the two. Appreciate it, man.

    Great video thanks for posting. I’m looking at this system but leaning more towards the S-type. Did you do any before/after 0-60 or other runs to compare? Any chance you weighed the stock system to see how much lighter the Borla is compared to stock? Cheers

    Sweet truck dude. I have a 2014 srt with the borla atak catback and yes it does fit. Sounds great. Only has 100 miles thru the new exhaust. My question for you is does the fluttering sound ever go away completely or does it lessen as time goes by?? I'm referring to the fluttering sound when the jeep is in park and you are giving it a few revs and the rpms are dropping and there is a distinct fluttering sound. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

      Dominic Pollina did you buy the 2015 catback and it fit on your 2014?

      Hi, I have the S-Type, have had for 6 months and 10'000 klms. Fluttering when dropping down and initial start up when dropping down doesn't go away. It's the only thing I don't really like because apart from that, they sound better than any other I have heard especially under full noise. Even gt haus. I actually think it is the tips being rolled in that cause it. Wouldn't mind trying different tips.

      Ofcourse there is a drone, he's not sitting in the back. No driver of the car will tell you there is a drone. People are idiots for saying no drone without sitting in the back.

      I know this comment is late to the party but with a 2014 your best bet is to first get the borla atak catback exhaust installed and then have a custom tune done. The reason I say get a custom tune done is to disable MDS. The drone associated with borla exhausts for the 2014 model year cherokee SRT comes from eliminating the exhaust valves but still having mds active. Once the mds kicks in and it drops down to 4 cylinders that's when the drone becomes a problem because now the valves are gone and no longer can the drone be lessened. With mds disabled though it will always run 8 cylinders so getting the catback (which eliminates the exhaust valves) won't be an issue at all. There won't be any drone at all....just a vastly improved exhaust sound at start up and idle. Plus who wants the jeep to kick down to 4 cylinders anyway. No one buys these jeeps because they are worried about gas mileage

    I have a 2016. I’m not sure if I should go with an Axle back Atak or Cat back Atak. Any rattles with the exhaust, is it really loud during normal drives without pushing it?

      IronsideXT Thank you so much! I think that’s what I needed:) I will go with the Cat back then, thanks again!

      I just bought mine and today install it. It is LOUD when you push the acceleration.(I speak about catback). To have an idea of difference, the best you see it on Borla website. 2018 gc srt

      They only sell it in chrome. You'll have to get a shop to powder coat them black. Costs around $50 and isn't a big deal to have done.

    Ok help guys!! I just got a 2018 SRT Jeep. I just want the ATAK Axle back system. Borla don’t make them for 2018’s. Wondering if borla part #11827 2012-2014 model fit mine. My SRT Jeep needs to wake up ! Lol.

    • @NoNegotiations
      @NoNegotiations 4 года назад

      It should fit. As far as I know there hasn't been any changes for WK2 GC SRT (2012-2020)

    • @Quigomy
      @Quigomy  4 года назад

      There have been TONS of changes from 2012-2020.
      2014 especially, when they switched from the 5spd to the 8spd transmission. 2017 and 2019 got some bigger changes too.
      If the exhaust is made for a 2012-2014 Jeep SRT, I would have doubts that it will fit the 2015+ (although I guess you could get lucky?)
      I KNOW the Borla ATAK from this video will NOT fit on a 2014 or less Jeep SRT.

    Atak for sure sounds meaner but i think for a daily driver the s type is the best way to go, in my opinion of course

    • @NoNegotiations
      @NoNegotiations 4 года назад

      He says no drone, but there is significant drone between ATAK and S-type. If you have family and kids, get S-type. If you're a driver and will be only one driving the car all the time, get ATAK.

  • @jag9967

    Any drone?

    • @NoNegotiations
      @NoNegotiations 4 года назад

      yes, more drone in ATAK than S-type. He said no drone because he's not sitting in the back seat. No driver of the car will tell you there is a drone. People are idiots for saying no drone without sitting in the back.
