When I was in grade school my dad would drive us to school and play this on the car's 8 track. I swear I was convinced the faster my dad drove the faster the song played. Miss you dad.
Happy Father's Day
This also brings me back to my dad...!!! ♥️♥️♥️😊 So grateful for his passion for music.... ♥️
That was so funny ❤️😂thank you for sharing that! I think my dad did the same! ❤
Listening to this while my dad is driving :)

Saw Herb Alpert last night at the Count Basie in New Jersey last night. At age 87, he still can blow with the best of them. Great show and I was lucky to have front row seats.
That's great, Edward, Herb is a living legend. Please, take a look at his playlist on this channel, you're gonna like. Take care, God bless you.
I was front row center when Herb, Lani and the gang played Hartford, Connecticut in October about 7 years ago. It was a totally magical evening!
A californian band playing traditional greek music in mariachi style.. Love it
Only in the USA! Viva Alpert!
And there were no Hispanics in the TJB.
@@randallkoch6183 Well, Zorba was half Mexican and half Irish.
I loved this song as a kid in the 1970's. Would beg my Dad to play this.
No one. Can touch Herb Alpert !!! The best.
David O'Neill was better
Herb Alpert is a genius… I have been a fan since The Lonely Bull…. But Zorba is my all time favorite 👍
I love it!! A mariachi band playing a Greek song. It works!!
Don't forget its a mariachi band led by a Jewish man at that :)
I got to see them in person at the Yale Bowl. Awesome concert.
Brings back memories of running around my Grandparents dining room table to the song when I was 5.
LOL no lie my friend just told me when he was 5 and this song would come on, he would run around in circles. I guess it had that effect on 5 year old boys. :D
Herb Alpert is simply brilliant
These guys were fantastic musicians. I'd forgotten this song. This was my favorite version. Double tonging flawlessly.
Actually , triple tonguing .
My favorite version of this traditional piece from Greece.
Happy Birthday to one of my all time favorites, Herb Alpert, 85 today. My parents turned me on to him in the 60's. This duel between the horns and guitars is the best.
Thank you for this reminder, James, happy birthday Herb! 👍
My folks were into the A in A&M records and I grew up with the h man as well
I remember my father dancing to this…he was such a ham! We miss you, Daddy
Brings back memorys of my dad In The 60s.

Esta feliz como lo estoy yo, salud paisano.!
THIS will wake you up in the mornings!! Love it!! ❤
Began listening to Herb when I was 7 and by the time I am 10(the year he acted in The Happening); I became a Hugh fan of Quinn's as well.
Just saw him and Lani Hall perform last night and am listening to this while making breakfast. If I had half his energy when I get to his age (late eighties), I will be more than happy.
Heard this on Sirius 60s on 6 today so decided to look it up on YT. Great song!
Used to ❤ Herb when I was in high school in the Sixties! Thank you!
I remember my mom watching this movie when I was young.
She liked the movie and the music.
I like it too😇
Used to play this on trumpet when younger. Too out of wind and practice now. Still like this song.
Oh! great now I have to do the Sirtaki around a sombrero. I'm 65 for God's sake.
Some of the Tijuana brass members was my moms neighbor in Tijuana since they were little kids ,and now one of them ended being my next door neighbor in san diego.i didn’t know my mom knew them .

The novel "Zorba the Greek" was written by Nikos Kazantakis who also wrote "The Last Temptation of Christ." The music for the movie was composed by Mikis Theodorakis who also composed the music for the movie "The State of Siege." Thank you for the wonderful performance by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass.
